Air Fryers Buying Guide
Our buying guide will explain which type of air fryer would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
Love to hate
I bought this 19 April 2020 and received it 23 April. Cooked frozen chips first then chicken nibbles. Food came out pretty good and I was pretty happy with its performance ....until I go to clean it. The metal ring ring around the lid had baked on stains that would not come off after cooking just one meal. I didn't want to scrub the tin shield too hard in case it broke off. Pretty annoyed at this stage.
The following morning, I heated some bread rolls and noticed white particles in the cooking chamber but didn't think much of it thinking it wa...Read more

Not as expected.
Found it to be a great cooker for about seven months. It refused to turn on. Contacted Sunbeam for a warranty claim. Complicated process. Received a reply after two weeks. Asked to supply images of the set. # sticker on the base. Another long wait but the reply was that they were out of stock but may be in in two to three months time. No follow up since, three weeks again. Great machine, terrible support.
Purchased in June 2021 for $199.00.

We bought on line due to the difficulty of going to the store, distance and disability. Taking it back to the retailer is not an option. Will have to wait for the Sunbeam process to run its course. Ho... Read more

Omg converted, will never use another appliance again.
Omg converted will never cook in anything else again... tastes amazing, kept hearing that comment on the reviews but it's a roast potato how amazing could it be, but it tastes amazing...
1tblsp olive oil, salt pepper, chicken seasoning 35 mins later put in raw not pre boiled, came out soft inside crunchy on the outside, then put in rest of veges for 5 mins at the end?
Do not hesitate on buying this, it's a steal for what it does and it does everything, no more combi oven for me this is way nicer.
Purchased in December 2021 at Noel Leeming for $198.00.

We got it to support our oven... now our oven supports the Halo.
This is an excellent product, though i cannot compare it to any other Air Fryers since this is the first and only one we own. If it broke tomorrow we would have no hesitation with buying another.
We got it to help out with cooking, we thought it might support the food we cook on the Gas Stove or in our Electric Oven (and it is NOT a cheap oven) - instead we find the Oven now supports the Halo!
There is just so much one can do with the Halo, and what it does, it does well. Fish, Stirfrys, Roasted Veggies the list goes on. For special cooking w...Read more
e have Sous Vide, for day-to-day cooking we have the Halo. I have only 2 minor criticisms. 1. Personally we do not think it is THAT great for chips, compared to oil fried chips they are inferior. But if we cannot be bothered oil frying then we find that the chips are better done if pre-cooked in the oven and then crisped in the Air Fryer. 2. WHY are there no options to buy backup trays, it would be great to have 2 separate cooking bowls so we could prepare more complicated items without having to wash or wipe out in between.Purchased in March 2021 at Domayne NSW, West Gosford.

Hello Big Tree,
WOW!! That's wonderful to hear!
Sounds like you're having gourmet dinners every night and at home now that you have the Sunbeam Halo+ DuraCeramic AIR FRYER.
Any update on the availability of the internal 'tubs' or 'bowls'?

Love it
I have two air fryers. A Phillip XL and this Sunbeam Halo which I have in my caravan. I absolutely love it. I think it does roast veg better than Phillips and of course it does chips well. However I think it might be a little slower but I don’t find that a problem. It does fish
beautifully leaving it moist not dried out. I certainly haven’t used it to its capacity. Easy to clean. And more than big enough for the two of us. I would recommend this air fryer. The fact that it tilts and goes around stops any food sticking together so no shaking half way through cooking as in the Phillips one I have. I have had no problems with it.
Purchased in December 2021.

Questions & Answers
Brendamasked
Can I cook a joint of beef in the Airfryer?
2 answers
Im not sure how you would fit a joint of meat in the Sunbeam Halo Fryer. I dont think there is enough room if you put it on the rack and it has that node sitting up in the middle. If you get one that fits it would do it well. Ive called m salmon on the rack and they came out good.

Hi Brendam,
It really does depend on the size of the joint. Usually a joint of beef needs a long slow cook so I don't believe that you would get a good result. If you're cooking something like a rack of lamb which needs less tme, the Airfryer is ideal. Hope this helps.i

My machine was sizzling and making spark sounds and light was flashing white. I walked away 10 mins into cooking fresh wedges and the light was glowing orange and all seemed to be working well.
I unplugged it straight away. Nothing in the user guide assist.
Could the light have blown?
It was the first time we have used it since unpacking it after delivery last week.

Hi Vacillika K.,
Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. The sizzling sounds could be the oil cooking (if any added) and as long as there is no excess oil used this should be fine.
Kind regards,
Sunbeam

Hello Geoff,
So sorry to hear of your experience..
However, you're still within the 12 month time frame so it would be a quicker process if you return it to the retailer for a replacement.
