Do not bother!
I was covering an off-white with un-tinted white in low sheen. It has taken 3 coats to cover the previous shade of paint which I would only expect if I was painting a darker colour! There are areas where I feel it may even need a 4th coat! I bought a 15L bucket and I’m almost halfway through it on one small bedroom. The odour is so so so strong, I’ve used many Many brands of paints but this one takes the cake for fumes and I have two small kids I’m trying to now keep away from the room because I feel like it’s toxic. Don’t waste your money buy something else.

Should have read the reviews first
After doing all the hard bits, skim coating, sugar soaping, masking up open the can and the colour looks
good but cutting in the paint is watery and not covering the roller was the same. Will be battling to paint
26 sqm of walls with 4L this is the worst paint we have ever, ever used and very disappointed with not only
the product but Bunnings for supplying it.

Unusable
Had used Taubmans Primer on VJs and was happy with this product. Went to use the Easycoat and thought there was problem the moment I opened the can. Have never stirred a paint with such low viscosity. Rolled it on to the wall and it looked like I'd just rolled on water. No coverage at all. I wish I had read these reviews first. Am going to try to get my money back.

worst paint i have ever bought
Bought a tin of this to use for a feature wall
Thank god it was only for a feature wall
the pain was in yellow covering over white
Firstly it took 3 coats to cover it ! i would only expect that if i was covering over a darker colour not a lighter one
the paint is very thin sloppy and runny it dripped everywhere
thirdly it stank to high heaven and remained stinking the room out for weeks after
I have to say this has to be the worst tin of paint I have ever used I normally keep paint to do a freshen up coat down the track for this I didn't i'd rather have a slight shade change with a better paint than ever open that tin again
not worth the money or damaging your sense of smell.

Because of the rust couldn't use the rest!
In late April 2017, I bought a 4L tin to do some touch ups on my interior walls. I kept the rest in a cupboard in my garage. In early November this year I decided to repaint the walls but I found that the tin has rusted from the inside and some paint has escaped and the remaining paint has its color changed. I had to buy a new 4L paint tin. I reported this to Taubmans with six photographs show a hole with 50 cent size rust from the inside and the outside. They did not consider the photographs and demanded me to take the actual tin to Bunnings s...Read more
o an authorized Taubmans person can take it away for inspection. I am wondering how the tin got rusted if it is kept in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight? Properly stored paint should remain usable for at least 5 yearsPurchased in April 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse.

Rubbish paint
Just had the walls professionally re-painted last week. Told them I wanted something which was like the old ceramacoat which was the best paint ever for cleaning. We live in the tropics. Bugs get in - geckos crap on the walls and moths lay their eggs. Using spray and wipe, the yellow moth egg stains (about 1cm in diameter) remains on the wall, and I notice the paint comes off on the cloth. The gecko crap comes off, but so does the paint. Not happy, Jan! Don't waste your money.

terrible
Very unhappy with this paint stirred it well recoated as per instructions dried very patchy it took 4 coats to get it half good. Will never use this brand (easycoat) purchased from Bunnings. Have gone to a reliable paint retailer to try and rectify our feature wall with a better quality brand.Alan

Was a Taubmans fan until now
On wall small only I have already used a litre a paint, it is streaky. 3 coats plus primer and it still needs more. I will have to buy a better brand to fix this up. Very unhappy. I have painted my entire house top to bottom and then some- never had this issue before.

Smells rather bad
Painted kids bedroom with 2 blue tones. Light blue based on white original colour and this is fine. But the navy blue which is based on the chroma blue base smells like the neighbour is smoking weed. It went on fine and covered well but it has been a couple months and still smells. I have contacted taubmans and they have suggested that it is due to a reaction to something in the wall and is called "ghost odour". They have suggested I paint the back of the paint lid to see if the paint is bad. My wall is not made of metal so am going to paint some timber I have lying around and will send an update. Seems strange that one wall in my 3 year old house is different to 3 others in the same room.

Little bit of extra work
The paint was quick to dry but required alot more that expected. We ended up having to apply three coats for our feature wall. The finished product is good but its does appear a little patchy in some certain lights. Economy wise was the best choice even with the third coat.

So bad I checked reviews
This paint is so bad I thought it might just be my inexperience, so I checked the reviews and"yep" it's a bummer product. Bunnings talked me into buying both the sealer undercoat and the top coat low sheen. It's not just the money that has been wasted, but also the time. I will now have to repaint the entire project.

Good quality paint
I have recently painted my whole house with British Paints Clean and Protect.
My son opted to go with a different colour for his bedroom and so I saw this on special at my local paint supplies store.
Application very much like British Paints and finish very similar.
I cannot understand what the issues were but it could have been a bad production patch.
I am very pleased with final finish and colour.

I'm having the same really frustrating experience.
I thought Dulux interior full gloss was the worst paint I'd ever encountered so gave Taubmans a try (owned by Dulux), this time on inside garage walls. With thorough prep and priming, two coats of white wall paint over white are very blotchy. It's horrible to look at and to feel I've wasted so much time and money.
When stiring these paints, it's obvious that they are not as thick as paint used to be. It's not surprising that it gives poor coverage. If everyone has to do three coats instead of two, the company increases its profit margin by 33...Read more

What a waste of time and effort and my money I will never use taubmans again rubbish
This is rubbish do not use this paint, I have done all the prep and I have put two coats on it looks terrible. I will be going back to Dulux tomorrow.
I painted my whole house 8 years ago with Dulux and still looks good but this taubmans paint is absolutely crap. I have wasted my time and my hard earned money, the only reason I am re painting is the colour scheme, don't buy this paint is my advice.

5 coats and still not happy!
I have done quite a lot of painting and i do all the prep work because i want a good finish.
Sanded the walls, filled holes, washed walls, two coats of undercoat..Thought I was going nuts as I had an expensive roller, size as stated on paint can.
I could still see roller marks after 4 coats.
Called Taubmans technical dept and after listening to everything they suggested and confirming I had done all steps correctly, the final suggestion was to thin the paint with some water.
The guy I spoke to sounded like he had to defend this paint many times..
The 5th coat is a bit better but still unsatisfactory..
Im very unhappy with the result after hours of handwork and would never use Taubmans easycoat again

Terrible paint!
From the moment I tipped the paint into the roller tin I was suspicious. Couldn't cut-in to the corners, when on the roller it was like I was rolling out PVA glue onto the walls. Paint went on well for the first roll, then when going over again within 30 seconds it started lifting off the walls. Had to put it on so thick at first I used half a tin of 4 litres to do one wall. Now I have to sand back the wall due to the paint lifting off in some areas. Went and bought some Wattyl and enjoyed the painting so much I think I will do some more. Interestingly enough, when I bought the Wattyl paint, the helpful assistant guessed which paint I was using when I told him of my problems. Says he doesn't stock it any more as it is rubbish.

Liquid glass
Never experienced a paint before with such limited covering abilities. I'd reckon it will take 4 or 5 coats to end up with a passable result. Rubbish product - only bought it as I needed a small qty for a feature wall...so bought a 2 litre tin. The much cheaper Tradex is way better.

Terrible coat
I've been painting for over 20 years and this is the worst product I have ever used. It is not at all easy to coat, and the coverage is terrible. After 4 rooms in a house I just painted I gave up and went and got some Haymes new life for the same price. One coat of the Haymes looked better then two coats of this so called easy coat. This was the first and last time I will use this product.

Money down the drain
So far I have applied 4 coats of this paint to a feature wall, but it is still very patchy and I can see the old colour coming through.
I've used twice the amount of paint that was recommended and still do not have adequate coverage. Hopefully I will be able to find a similar colour in Dulux paint and fix up the job with an coat of that.
