I purchased this product to paint my walk in Wardrobe - it’s awful. It’s not usable or effective.
So far I have :
- the smell is powerful and gives you a head ache. The entire house smells
- I have used 4 L in a tiny space ( used 11 litres to paint my whole house with Dulux colour )
- I have had to cut in twice because the paint is streaky you have to be really careful.
- I have put four coats on the walls so far and can still see where I have cut in and i was only painting over an off white grey white.

This is not an effective product. You will be disappointed if you choose to use this paint

I purchased this easycoat in Viking Grey.
After 3 coats of this coloured thinners it was still patchy, but the worst part about it is that it stripped the lighter colour paint under it and changed the overall colour of the paint. From Viking grey to burrito Wednesday.
Would have been brilliant if the goal was to have skid marks for architraves.

Paint really smells badly on a warmer day, I have used Taubmans gloss and walls. I'm a month down the track now and dare not use the paint anywhere else.

sanded back the old oil based paint and thoroughly washed. have put 2 coats of easycoat white gloss on but its streaky and can still see the old surface. Terrible coverage and will need a third coat. Not impressed, used Dulux a few years ago in a different room with no problems.

Been painting for many years and decided to use taubmans easy coat for first time. New house, sealer primer and light sand on prep coat. So disappointed with results, tint doesn’t hold, patchy colour, thin to the point of see through. Not cheap to buy but very cheap results. There are much better products out there for similar money.

Coverage is awful, so bad. Even with a large thick wall brush it would take probably five coats to cover a black spot, when others would do it in 2. It comes out watery and goes gluggy very quick. I'm so disappointed with this paint and so frustrated I've wasted so much time.

I would have to agree with the reviews far.

After having recently experienced issues with Dulux super enamel high gloss oil-based paint, i gave up with dulux and headed to bunnings where the staff member recommended taubmans easy coat semi gloss.

This product was even worse than the lot and weighs in at rank number one for the worst paint ever.

It was blotchy (granted it was tinted at bunnings), had poor coverage, didn't apply/bond well with the undercoat and dried to an uneven consistency - it was dull in some areas and semi glossy in others, however, three coats wasn't enough to create a satisfactory finish. Semi-glossy was more like a weird dull chalk with a broken shine.

Worst paint ever. 2 coats hardly made any impact & paint ran & didn't stick to the surface. Had to sand it all back due to splodges and drips. Taubmans should be ashamed. Will never buy an Taubman products again This has caused me more grief and cost to buy more paint to redo the whole job.
