The machine heats up my kitchen when it is in use. Is it supposed to generate so much heat into its surroundings?

I'm not sure just how much heat you are talking about, but one of the things you do have to be careful of is how you handle the lid after cooking as the surrounds do get incredibly hot. I often struggle to get the lid off without almost burning my hand in the process.

Are the air fryers able to be repaired?
After about around 2 years the fan /motor has stopped working

Hi Kez, there are Tefal repair centres around that you could check with. You might be better off replacing the entire unit with another cheaper model if the cost of the repairs seems high, you would hope that given the original cost the unit might have lasted a bit longer.

I am sorry but I don't think I can help you. I have the "standard" Actifry and just use the 'container' it came with. However I think if you post that question in this forum someone will be able to answer it for you. Good luck

Hello. Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, the tray for the Actifry 2in1 doesn't fit the original models. However, you can purchase a 'Snack & Grill' basket that replaces the paddle which allows you to cook different meats etc. These can be purchased through the leading retailers e.g. Harvey Norman, The Good Guys etc.

Hello annie67,
No it is not noisy, I only purchased it about 4 or 5 months ago and in that time the cooking of chips, which is mostly what I use it for, has not changed.
Kind regards,
Philomena

Mine was extremely noisy but it also didn't heat up so it might have been defective in 2 ways.

Hello, thank you for your question. The machine is not overly noisy. You will definitely be able to hear the air from the machine if you are in the kitchen but it wouldn't be heard throughout the entire house.
If we can ever be of any assistance please don't hesitate to contact us.

Can you cook steak together with chips in the basic actifry... {not the 2 in 1)?

It's not intended for cooking a single piece of steak in the basic model. Although I have cooked beef strips, chicken wings and other smaller pieces of meat at the same time as chips - they turn more easily and cook more evenly and quickly.

HI Rick,
Thank you for your question on the Tefal Actifry. You can definitely cook Steak & Chips together in the Actifry even if it is not the 2in1.
We hope this helps

I have the actifry 2 in 1, how do I use it without the top tray??? The little green oil spoon doesn't fit on the top of the spinner in the middle if the top tray is not in use.

The green oil spoon is not supposed to fit on the top of the spinner. You pour one green spoon or less of oil over the top of the food and then close the lid and start cooking. You can store the green spoon in your kitchen cutlery drawer, not on the top of the spinner.

Tefal
Tefal A.Tefal

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your question on the Tefal Actifry 2in1! Lily is exactly correct you are not meant to cook with the Green Spoon in the appliance. The Green Spoon is only there to measure the oil, unfortunately if you do cook with this spoon in the actifry it may melt. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require further information.

Can you cook lamb chops in it and if so do you still use the paddle?

Yes, have cooked lamb chops and it has turned out well. Did not use the paddle, but turned meat over after a few minutes.

I have cooked lamb chops in it and put in the smallest amount of olive oil. I used the paddle and did not have to turn them. They turned out really juicy and tender. Hope this helps :-)
