I've read all the review before I buy it. There's quite a lot bad reviews and I am so confusing but I made my own decision which is right! This Model is good enough for daily using and I am starting to learn how to iron my clothes. After my first trial on last Sunday I think I should give it a good review although 30s maybe not long enough but for me it's okay.
I don’t really understand why all the bad reviews here? I almost decided not to purchase the iron after reading these reviews, but in the end I decided to take the chance. I’m glad I did, because I think it’s a great iron. It works exactly as specified. The cordless function works well. You just have to make sure that when you put the iron down, you put it back on it’s base (not too much to ask). It only needs to be on it’s base for about 4 sec before it is ready to go again, so by the time I have re-arranged my garment, the iron is ready...
Read more. I very rarely have the iron off the base long enough for it to start beeping. It glides across my shirts smoothly, and the auto steam feature works great (with my previous irons I was pumping a button for steam). It was a little heavier than expected, but at the end of the day this works well too, because it means I do not have to apply pressure when ironing. I guess it all depends what type of ironing you are doing.. I am an office worker so I need to iron shirts weekly, this iron is prefect for this.Hi Leeroy,

If I had had know that I needed to put the iron on the charger every 30 seconds I would never have contemplated buying such a useless product. I was really keen to use the iron and thought that there was some fault with it, went online to read some reviews and wish I had done so before the purchase. There should be some information on the external packaging to make the consumer aware. What a waste of money.

Loved the idea of a cordless iron and was super excited to buy it, but as soon as I started using it I was pretty disappointed. I don't feel it heats up hot enough for those clothes that need the extra heat to get all the creases out. I sucks big time that you have to put the iron down every 30 seconds on the charging base and wait for it to heat back up to the desired temperature again. This iron is only a few months old and I am getting rid of it. I have now upgraded to the Tefal Effectis Easy Steam Generator, so we will see how that goes lol

EDITED 30/09/15
After trying another iron, I realised that the issues with the Tefal Freemove are fundamental problems which severely affect the performance of the iron. The dripping and erratic steam button especially should not be problems. As such I wouldn't recommend this iron and have downgraded my review to 2 stars.
Pros:
- nice smooth soleplate which glides over fabric
- strong steam (when it works)
- easy to use
- automatic pause after being left on for so long, this has definitely saved me burning down my house!
- easy to descale (but I would recommend using filtered water even though they recommend against it)
- no major problems after two years

Hi Siobhan,

I have wanted a cordless iron forever & was so excited to purchase the Tefal Freemove FV9965. In its favour it looks lovely.
But I will list the reasons why its going back to the store.
1 The water tank is dark & I can't see how much water is in it or when the water is close to the max fill mark. There are no instructions about filling the water tank, or about how much water to use.
2 The iron doesn't have a flat base so it can sit on the ironing board, it MUST go back in the charging base.
3 The steam button is under the handle & is alway...

This is quite a new model from Tefal. I intended to buy the previous Tefal Freemove cordless, however the store ran out, and I bought the latest model FV9965 instead at $169. I was so excited for this is my first cordless iron. I read the reviews of the previous model (and was impressed) and thought the latest model would have to be even better!
So coming home I read the instructions carefully, admiring the design and the soleplate (sad isn't it?). I clipped on the stand, filled up the water tank and plugged in the power. The charge was surp...
Read morerisingly quick. I ironed and few t-shirts and was looking for more things to iron just to test this new gadget. I noticed the trigger steam was not very strong. I did experience the beep beep a couple of times because the iron was not back onto the cradle within 30 seconds. As an experienced ironer, I can turn and reposition the iron fairly quickly so I normally leave the iron face down and continue immediately. Therefore having to place the iron back into the cradle for under 4 seconds (the time it takes to recharge) was not an advantage to me. Two days after my first experience, I was ironing some pillow cases. From the get go I noticed the Charge light blinking for over 4 seconds, but the iron was warming up. I tried to reset the iron, but still the charge light continued to blink throughout my ironing. To have this happen on my second ironing experience was enough for me to pack up the iron and return it to the store. Other factors I found about the iron. The two buttons at the top (spray and steam) were a little heavy to push down. The steam trigger button at the bottom was sometimes 'in my way', for example, when I did not want any steam to come out, I would accidentally trigger it because of the position it was at.Hi Tia,
