From stove top to the oven. This is now becoming the norm. The design of the Tefal pans are easy to use. Whilst on stove top, you can have the ingenio handle attached to sear food then transfer to oven where with a click on the handle releases the pan. The convenience of not handling a hot handle or forgetting caution is a well thought out design. The pan itself, I purchased twin pack (2 sizes) has a tough coating. It has not got a smooth surface, slightly rough to touch, yet solid - aught to stand hard ware. Personally, I use non metal utensils on all nonstick cookware. Easy to wash after cooked meal.
