Great Service on Refund of Unused Premium
I can't comment on claims as we never had to make one. But, when we sold our rental property I contacted TS about a refund of the unused portion of our premium as we had only just paid our annual premium 2 months prior. I was a bit slow in getting in touch, But, when I rang, the young lady from TS could not have been more friendly. She immediately arranged for a refund, and even backdated it to the date of sale, which I did not expect. And, the refund came through the next day. So I can only say we were very happy.

Hi,
i like to thank terri scheer team for helping me get my rental income back, i lost 4 months worth of income and i thought the process will take long, however it wasn't as long as i thought it be.
Our agent provided the right documents and information which i thank them for as well.
If you provide the right documents, i'm pretty sure the transaction will go smoothly.
The one thing terri scheer would need to improve on is the wait on the phone.
but overall i'm happy with the outcome.

I don't agree with all the negative reviews!
Despite having two sets of tenants in a row who did damage, Terri Scheer did not put the premiums up. Indeed they were well in their rights to have refused us insurance after that. One lot of tenants were chosen by a Real Estate agent, and chose the next lot myself which worked for 18 months then turned pear shaped when the tenants split up, and one of them trashed the place. There were excesses to pay, but the rent arrears for the second tenant was looked after once the bond was exhausted and we had to get the bailiff in. Did not cover all the...
Read more repairs due the excess clause, but the insurance helped me get out of jail financially when stuck in a nightmare. Your experience depends on yourself to a degree, having all the right documentation, and having your own tradies do the repair work also helped enormously. This got the repairs completed faster and probably cheaper than if Terri Scheer did it themselves, so it was reciprocal, reducing the amount of the claim by being a bit savvy helped them too!

Honest review of my experience with Terri Scheer landlord insurance
Our tenant left without paying 4 weeks rent, trashed the house including multiple holes in walls and numerous items broken needing replacement such as our clothes line, letter box etc.
I read some terrible reviews about Terri Scheer which set my expectations very low. The claims process is very painful, they request every document imaginable. Once that's complete then you have to break down the costs for every single repair, as specific as 'main bedroom left wall x 2 holes costing $300' and so on.

Read morek and having our builder break down his quote, Terri Scheer actually did come through in the end. They charged us just one excess for the entire claim and paid all items that were covered as well as the full amount of rental loss whilst the repairs were being conducted. If you end up needing to make a claim, stick with the claim process (as painful as it is) and document and photograph everything!- Value for Money

Excellent customer service
We had two properties insured and had to claim once. Had no issues at all. We have recently sold both properties and contacted the office. Spoke to Miranda who was friendly,professional and very competent. Business completed very quickly. Cannot speak highly enough of this service.

I advised you that I had purchased contents cover by mistake, when intending to purchase building only cover, and requested a refund of the contents premium and a quote for building only cover .
You have failed to contact me, refund the premium or quote building only insurance
Please respond within 7 days or I will take action to recover my funds .
Oh Dear.....I should have known there would be a catch to their "reasonable" insurance premium for landlords and building. Certainly won't go with them now. Think I will try EBM next and check out their reviews. I am finding RACV just too expensive!
They have not given any timeliness or outlined anything since the claim, we lived with mould growing on the ceiling for 10 months, reports April 2021 and they only cleaned it in January 2022. Still no...
Read more repairs, they provide the service to get you to purchase a policy but lack service and care for any claims. Whilst RACV might be more expensive im sure their service and response to a claim would be a higher standard then terri scheerGet an answer from our members and Terri Scheer representatives
