Customer service is a joke
It seems that The Reject Shop reject good people and only hire the bad. I have been served by the same young girl twice at the Elizabeth SA store and twice the customer service has been bad. The first time whilst she was serving me, another staff member asked her for something so when she had finished with me, she said "Goodbye, enjoy the rest of your day" whilst bent over looking for this item. Recently she served me again, and she said goodbye to me whilst looking at me but she had a blank expression on her face. Another time at the Salisbury...Read more
SA store, I went to take back a plastic shelving system which was cracked. The person who I spoke to was very rude and said they were all like that and I couldn't get a refund. However, there was no sign stating they were all faulty. I had to choose something else and chose a plastic crate which turned out to be cracked as well. I couldn't be bothered to return it after the way I was treated the first time.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Mirror purchase
I bought a mirror which is terrible
When I look into the mirror I feel dizziness because it is very bad quality .
I couldn't check it because it was wrapped in plastic. I'll warn anybody who wants to buy this mirror that it will effect your eye sight so please don't buy it.

Inaccessible, Badly Organized
I have a mobility disability that requires me to use a mobility scooter while I'm shopping, if I'm going to be on my feet for more than a couple of minutes. Regardless of where I am, The Reject Shop is always inaccessible in my scooter. I might be able to get into the store, but trying to fit down an aisle or turn down the end of an aisle is impossible. There are always crates and boxes and stock creating such narrow pathways that it would cause damage for me to even attempt to shop in their store in a scooter - or even a wheelchair!

ecently I went in to purchase some garden implements and pots and had to leave my scooter outside, go in, pick up the two things I needed, and pay and go back out. By the end of that time, I was in a lot of pain. I've written to them and have been told that their stores shouldn't be organized this way and they'll talk to the manager of the store I've frequented most often - and yet they ALL are. Every Reject Shop I've been in is organized the same way. It is a violation of the requirements for shop accessibility and it's illegal. And yet, nothing is being done about it.Similar opinion? Won't use their Frankston Bayside store anymore
I like to have a look in the Reject Shop regularly as they always have some bargains BUT since I've moved to Frankston I'm not so keen. The store in Bayside doesn't seem to have regular "opening" hours - they advertise online that they open at 8:30am Mon-Fri however most times I've gone they're not open and there are no hours advertised on the store, seems they just open when they feel like it! Last time I went there I found all the lights on and people inside but the store wasn't open and NO SIGNS again out the front saying when they would o...Read more
pen so I just sat down to wait thinking they were running a little late. Unfortunately "no" some lady who obviously worked there and was going in the shop said to me "we're opening late today as we have to move things" - OK why don't you advertise this or at least put a sign up out the front on your window when you are advertising "open at 8:30am online"? She didn't even say when they were opening so again I gather they just open when they feel like it which is very bad customer service really. Bayside store has lost me I'd rather drive all the way down to Mornington as I never had that problem with this store when I lived there! Thankfully there are plenty of other bargain stores in Frankston so I probably won't bother much with the Reject Shop in the future.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great stuffs with cheap price
Bought a couple of homeware from it but just don’t remember all of them and they are pretty good considering how cheap the price are. But the thing that I have a great impression is their turf. It is really cheap and of great quality.

Good shop. Flat pack nightmare
Got the flat pack 8 cube storage unit, in store. 3 joining parts were broken and the 4 more broke trying to assemble. Tried to find the product online to compare and leave a item review but the product is not online. Ill be returning it after work today. Very disappointed. I normally like shopping at the reject shop but lately the products have gone downhill in quality.

Maryborough customer service
Went to return a dog coat that didn’t fit my dog, was told that the coat wasn’t eligible for return but dog coats are not mention on their return policy of items that are not eligible. Beware of their dodgy practices and bad service has turned me off shopping at reject shops

Sad to treat the elderly this way
The staff need to be trained in the detection of counterfeit money ....my husband was released from hospital after a 3 month stay ..he is in his 80 very frail with lung brain and prostate cancer and was his first day out after release from hospital ...he was pulled up at the checkout for passing counterfeit money ...the young girl had taken photos of the money this had torn in half as he got it out of his wallet ..she had then got security...my husband left the store to find me.. we were returning to the bank (as I had just got the money from t...Read more
here as I do every week) we were chased down just near the bank by both security and the young girl who would have been better to return to her job instead of embarrassing us more than she already had ...I must add blind Freddy could tell it was not a counterfeit ....the note was taken back ..checked and was found to be just fine ...security and the young girl still waiting for us in the door way of the bank ...a disgrace to follow people into a bank ....no apology forth coming ...staff at your store need far better training and elderly need to be treated far better ...yes my husband returns back to the doctors today ....a utter disgrace in the handling of a elderly frail man ......get security by all means ...find me and come back to the bank with me ...why little miss had to chase us down and stay out the front of the bank is beyond me ...1 comment

Refreshing change
Well I must say my visit to the reject shop at Hill Cove Bridgwater was a refreshing change. To be served by a delightful young female staff member. My docket says her name is Peta. I am an older female person and as many of my age group know many of the younger generation havent a lot of respect these days. I had to get a few items as i am having a couple of friends coming to stay. Anything that i asked her about she took me and showed me and spoke politely and with interest. Peta didnt just point in the general direction and ignore me like a...Read more

Failed Helium Balloon Kit
If there was a zero rating for this product, it would deserve it. i can't find the manufacturer's site, so I've had to post on Reject Shop's site.
We purchased the helium balloon kit from Reject shop in October and was disappointed with Reject Shop for a number of reasons. They're more expensive on the same item than Big W, Target or Kmart by $10.
The helium balloon kit simply didn't work! What a let down. I had a number of latex and foil balloons for my toddler's party we held a park and the tank didn't even inflate 10 balloons. We even tr...Read more

Customer Service Counters
Hi RejectShop HR,
Usually I'm not a person to complain, but my recent visit to reject shop has been disappointed by one of your employees (which I will not name here).
My wife and I lined up for a while to the counter which was not the issue, we were purchasing couple of pet products, therefore carried a fair bit.
As we got to the counter guy, he scans the products, all except one which had no tag.
He says to me, "there's not tag". I just said "Ok".
He gave me attitude and tells me "I can't do anything if there is no tag".
I responded "Sorry, I didn't notice but can't you just look it up?"

Return Policy is disappointing
My husband bought a few items with his credit card but I tried to return one of the items. I got the receipt and the item so I thought that would be enough. The manager said that their policy is that the amount will be credited back to the credit card but I said, my husband used his credit card and he is not here. To cut the story short, I was not allowed to return the item because of their return policy. I was disappointed. I often buy stuff at The Reject shop but their return policy is different from other shops, as long as you have a receipt, you get your money back. What if the item is a gift, what in the world can someone return it at The Reject Shop? Very disappointed.

Lovely Customer Service
I experienced a really lovely lady named Helen from the Moruya store, I had $400 plus in items as Id done the majority of my xmas shopping here, she chatted, she was friendly, very efficient and packed all my items nicely and even asked if I needed a hand to my car. Nice to get some good customer service for a change. We were away from home when we made this purchase, wish our local store was as good as this one. Pick your game up Wollongong central.

Rubbish
Only will charge phone a little then bombs out. Useless piece of junk. A real rip off. Haven't bothered to return. The reject shop argues when u try to return something. It's too upsetting so I will just let it go.
