A reliable car
I bought this car in last Christmas season, and it is spacious, well goof reputation. the model SX -sporting style, with 18inch wheels. Sports pedal, easy to control. leather seats. it is bit long and heavy, so it is that fast from parking to 100KM/h, but usually I do not need it that fast. The car is bit fuel consuming, 10L/100K which advertised is 7.8L/100KM. silver color though I love the black one due to sold out. Again, a reliable car.

nice car
I bought this car from a car dealer, it's 2.5, it's quite big comparing to Toyota Corolla, large space inside, the only problem is that the door can't be locked when I started to drive. volkswagan series can automatically lock the doors when I started driving, it would be much more safer if toyota camry has this function.

The boring car you just can't live without
Ok lets face it, you aren't looking at a Toyota Camry because it is the most exciting thing you've done since your trip to Disney Land, but you did buy it because you don't want to be stranded on the side of the road or pay through your nose in maintenance fees and this is what Toyotas are very very good at.
It drives well, not great acceleration, not splendid fuel efficiency, in fact the interior design looks kinda boring but it is a great machine. If you are looking for something that just goes and goes and you don't mind looking like the 50 other cars on the road then this is the car for you!

Bland, boring, reliable and cheap!
We sold our 18 year old Subaru Forester for a larger newer car. Our needs had changed as we have visitors often and needed a family size car but also transport to and from work for my wife. We have had a Toyota before and this fitted the requirements. It had to be largish without having a 6 cylinder engine and needed to be reliable. This model is entry level so fairly basic but my wife is no techie so it needed to be easy to operate in every manner. It has adequate electronics for her needs including Bluetooth, Ipod connection, USB, revers...Read more
e camera etc. All of this was easy to connect and was running in minutes. The Media player is simple and more than adequate. The car has basic comfort features and most of the time is used to commute 20 minutes to work and return. It does this with ease. The engine is smooth, quiet and although not overpowered at all it does most things without fuss. Freeway driving is what it does best but it brakes and corners well but not at sports car performance. The factory tyres are only just as they screech at low speeds around corners but the alloy wheels are attractive and easy to clean. Tyre grip is adequate. If you want slick performance forget it this car is not designed for any thing other than normal driving. It is very quiet on the road so you need to watch your speed and it runs well on gravel surfaces. It is front wheel drive so care needs to be taken when driving in the wet. It has the normal safety features of other cars with the highest rating and car seats for the kids are easy fitted with the necessary equipment installed as standard. The interior is adequate and stylish however plastic pieces scratch easy especially door linings and foot steps. A quick wipe over with a chamois and its done as far as maintenance goes. The interior is very dark and carpets and seats need regular vacuuming as they show up dust and dirt. Leg room is amazing in the front and rear and although it easily accommodates 5 adults 4 people is ideal. Driving position is fine if not a little low and there are numerous storage areas, and cup holders for all. The dashboard is easily set out and has all that's needed for normal driving. The handbrake is foot operated which is a little quirky but that frees up more space for the centre console which is massive. It takes 5 minutes to adjust to using the foot operated hand brake. The seats are adequate but you feel after a while that they compress and 'bottom out' on long drives. Getting in and out is ok but I have a disability and getting out even on a sligt incline is difficult due to the low floor pan. The boot is massive and will hold a multitude of large and small items and has hooks and tied downs. Reliability is as you would expect for Toyota. Nothing other than excellent. Our fuel consumption according to the dashboard information shows an average use of 8.6km to 100ks. That includes city and freeway driving. We dont drive fast usually under 100km/h and I imagine if you push it hard fuel use would skyrocket. We use E10 fuel most of the time as recommended by Toyota. Air conditioning is just adequate for this model but does the job most of the time. This model is the newest version at present and we bought it from Sci Toyota in Brisbane and it had just over 10,000kms and was company owned. It was spotless and unmarked on delivery and is bronze in colour which makes it look quite classy for an every day car. It has bonnet, and headlight protectors and a drivers weather shield. It came with Toyota original mats in the front and rear and large handy boot mat moulded to the shape of the large boot. After we sold our Subaru for $1500 it cost us just on $19,000. Not bad for a car that listed at 28,500 new at the time we bought this. Haggling was essential but keep it nice and the Dealer was very obliging. It drove as new and the paintwork is unblemished as was the interior. It was fully serviced on delivery and comes with a complete Toyota Program History and fixed price servicing of $140 and remaining Factory Warranty. Insurance is at the lower end of the scale and parts are very cheap and easily available Australia wide. If you want reliable transport without the bells and whistles and dont want to be distracted by too much information from the dash and media centre then it will be fine. If you want performance, and you like the gadgets and are willing to pay higher operating and purchasing costs dont even consider this or any other Camry model. They are family cars slightly dressed up to sell easier but will last a lifetime and take a great deal of abuse and neglect before they fail. This is reflected in the new and second hand prices so when you buy one drive it into the ground and like most Toyotas it will last forever.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Just keeps impressing
I reluctantly purchased a new Camry Hybrid as my wife was completely sold on the car, I wanted a Subaru. The difference between the Altise Hybrid and Petrol model is substantial. If you buy at the right time using the right techniques you can get an awesome deal close to the petrol price, I paid less than 2K more. Best time is new year and end of financial year, last few days of the month. Enlist a broker if you are not a seasoned buyer they will save you possible thousands.
So the car, a few differences to petrol model,(2016), are keyless e...Read more
ntry and push button start. The top of the centre console slides forward if you are a shorter driver. Then there is the extra torque, horsepower and fuel efficiency over the petrol. The main reason people don't like the Hybrid is the price, negated if you read above, and the battery. The July 2015 upgrade model saw a much better looking shape very closely mirroring the Lexus. The battery was moved and created a much larger boot capacity than previous models, worth noting the 2018 model is located under the rear seat so full capacity is restored. The battery has an 8 year warranty and have to my research only been an issue after 330K Klm in taxis, Even if you did 50K klm per year your battery would still be in warranty 2 more years or so. At this point I will note I am in no way shape or form connected to Toyota, any dealerships or car sales. I simply bought this car and love it, researched it thoroughly before and after purchase. My car has done 30K Klm and had its 3 Service book Maintenance services. The first was a free 1000 Klm check then every 15K Klm with capped price servicing at $140 for 5 years, the average of one of these services would cost around $600 as they are quite thorough including replacing brake fluid at the 30K service. I have had ZERO issues with this car and not even replaced the wipers. Driving, it is a little different to a petrol version, firstly it is quiet, dead quiet until the petrol engine kicks in. I start the car and within 20 seconds the petrol engine kicks in until operating temperature and then cuts back to electric. This is not a recommendation from Toyota I just look after engines in my vehicles and get the maximum life and performance. Once the engine cuts back I begin driving, the car stays in electric until you accelerate above its setting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

It's a Toyota !!!
Having owned several Toyota vehicles over the years I have no hesitation in purchasing another...I only bought the base model so I feel the interior is ok.Hopefully this particular vehicle will have the same reliability that I have experienced with my other Toyota's..Running costs seem ok.If this vehicle stands up to my expectations I will have no concerns about purchasing another.

Better than i thought.
Reluctantly purchased this car after our mazda let us down. Only took it because it had *similar* features to our mazda. Looks nice, drives well, very quiet interior in comparison to our mazda. Has the optional sunroof, 18" wheels, and upgraded suspension. Loads of room in the cabin, and boot. Features that work well- mostly.
- The radar cruise control is not in the same league as the mazdas, but does its job - just keep the radar clean, or it gets a bit iffy.
- Blind spot works well, probably as good as the caprice we had.
- The auto dim...Read more

Not an oh what a feeling
I purchased a toyota camry altera s at the end of feburary this year. This was a dec 2016 model.
As the sales client was adding that one of the attractions for this model was toyota link assist.
I decided last week to investigate as i was taking my family on a road trip. This feature meant i could listen to pandora or or other things via the smart phone through the system.
Downlaoded the app on the phone. Many disgruntled users on the review. When i downloaded the app...just could not sync. Read further on the web and established al...Read more

Also said phones compatiable were older android or iphones...i.e s3 or s4.wow... Rung toyota care. Spoke to a robot who kept on saying the website was down. Said nothing to do with that but needed to update the app. Then spoke to toyota service who said he had no knowledge of incidents...only to look on the web and say oh... Good economical
Good smooth ride and after 9 months a perfect 10.I have been getting 4.9 litres per 100 ks around town and even on the highway. The dash display for the fuel usage is great and you get a history of your past rides. The ride is quiet, especially on the battery, and comfortable. The reverse camera is very handy and standard on all cars. The sound system is solid with bluetooth as standard.Boot space is good and legroom in the cabin for front and rear is ample.Handling is good and the Vehicle Stability Control system has come in very handy.
Service is every 9 months or 1500k and capped at $140.

Toyota Camry RZ 2017
The Camry RZ is very easy and smooth to drive. I like the sportier look of the RZ model, together with the reversing camera and front and rear parking sensors. Plenty of leg room in the back as well as front and back climate control. Also good boot space. Digital radio is another good feature.

Good Vehicle
Bought a Toyota Certified 2016 Camry Altise in Feb 2017 with around 16'500 Kms on the clock with warranty. Very commodious, comfortable, smooth, ample leg room front/back, pleasure to drive. Good suspension,4 cylinder engine, low noise level all around. Adequate boot, reversing camera/screen, use it for town running only. Seems they have standard black colour upholstery. First time used Toyota in 1978, trusted them ever since.

Great all round modern vehicle.
Rented a Toyota Camry Altise as a work vehicle for two months, found it an excellent all round vehicle, in regards to interior space, handling, boot space, power, and comfort.
Good storage space in centre console and glove box, practical bonuses.
The 2016 model looks sweet and purposeful on the road, the Led daylights look cool.
Would have loved to have kept this Toyota .

Reasonable family car
Purchased this car new from dealer about 6 months ago. It was the 0% finance deal that got us over the line. The car looks okay but is really a fuel guzzling 4 cylinder underneath the shell. Economy isn't too bad on open highway.

The best selling mid size car in its segment,, and for a good reason ! I love the ride comfort and quiteness in the cabin although it sits on a 18 inch wheel . A bit slow on the acceleration but handles really nice due to the sport tuned suspension. really like the design overall of the car with its blacked wheels, side mirrors etc, drove the car from sydney to sunshine coast and the family on board couldnt be happier .Bought the car on november 2016 brand new for under 30,000 with free 3 year free service and on 0% finance. the deal i coudnt refuse and was so glad i made the purchase. and with toyota reliabilty im confident this car is gonna last me for years just like the corolla it replaced which i had for 11 years no problem.

A superb piece of Japanese engineering
This Camry hybrid drives like a far more expensive car. It is smooth and quiet and achieves an average of 5.8 litres per 100km on a mixed city and highway driving. Although I wasn't a fan of the CVT gearbox, this one is super responsive and smooth and gets the power to the road beautifully. Interior is appointed nicely and all the controls fall easily to hand. Reversing camera is handy as is the electric drivers seat. Really cant say enough about the Camry's economy and reliability and the Toyota capped price servicing was a bonus

Hello Toyota drivers!
Can you please advise me... Does that 2015 Camry Atara S Hybrid have a GPS unit included as standard factory fitted, or did I read correctly that in 2015, only the SL version came with a GPS?
