My most expensive lesson learnt so far!
One star as [name removed] messed up my contract and after I had driven the vehicle out of the yard and had signed everything, I got a call saying I didn't complete and sign particular forms which I did and had proof via email. I was accused of lying and later I got an apology after she realized it was her mistake. The mechanic left my sway bar unbolted after I got a service and damaged the rear of my car during the service. I got in contact with [name removed] and he covered and fixed the damage at their expense. This is my first time going in...Read more
to a loan and the last as I experienced extreme stress and loss of sleep as I was made to feel alone. Toyota finance is very incompetent and I have had nothing but issues. I cannot express this enough, go through a bank or RACV when taking out a car loan, you'll be treated with utter respect and they'll listen to you when you need assistance such as now during the Covid-19 crisis. Please don't go with theses guys. I cannot get in touch with the Finance Company after two days of calling, I was on hold for an hour and they hung up. The options that they gave me when I said I'm struggling and need assistance were down right pathetic. Read the companies reviews on /listings/toyota-finance and you''ll understand it. I'm a happy go lucky person but when I'm done dirty, I want other people to know about it too so hopefully I can help another person out before making the same mistake.Similar opinion? Quick to give you the loan - then its terrible service
Have been happily paying my car loan to Toyota Finance - then when you try to inform then of a change of Bank/Bank account its all too difficult. They failed to make the change, falsified records of the phone call (their notes had no relationship to what was said in the actual phone call). So because of their (TFA) ineptitude they debit an old account and charge me dishonour fees and interest. Not my fault you useless clowns.
Hopeless. I had to waste an hour on the phone dealing with hopeless staff.

Appalling treatment
Our recent dealings with Toyota Finance were embarassing. As a long term customer, our application was held up by outrageous and duplicated requests for information. Last time I will deal with TFS.

Use a Bank
I wanted to finance a CHR Koba that had done 16,000 kms ( RIP OFF IN ITSELF FROM THE DEALER )....in the past I’d always paid cash outright for my cars, Ive only had finance on one other car when I was younger. Big mistake in asking for finance through Toyota, unless you have money to burn they don’t want to know, they help, even go out of their way when you have the money they want....Your better off getting a loan from your bank and forgetting about the Toyota finance department. With my new car this time round I tried Toyota finance, being a ...Read more
single mum they wouldn’t touch me, even with a good credit ratio, but my bank were perfectly fine, no hesitations and picked up my new car one week later. Toyota finance representatives lie, are misleading in every way and only want to know you when your willing to pay for nothing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Disappointment.
Appalling customer service. BOTH the ladies I spoke to were rude and the wired line had NO IDEA what was going on. If your service involves taking our money, at least have enough decency to not SCOFF during the call. I tried to rectify the confusion, only to be cut off, “Bye bye goodbye”. Absolutely atrocious.

The right hand as no idea what the left is doing
I had a lease with Toyota, then I needed to change as I closed my company & needed to refinance as a sole trader. 5 months later with no finalisation or contract. School children running a finance company!!! What a joke. Never again will go or recommend TOYOTA FINANCE.

Avoid like the Plague!
While Toyota Finance seem like a respectable company, they are anything but.
I have recently paid out a loan after which I was advised by a Toyota Finance Representative that their payout figures automatically charge fees that you may not be liable for. I was assured that this would be rectified through manual calculation but it was not.
I raised a complaint which as of writing this review, is not resolved.
They have chosen not to contact me.
I have to contact them.
They promise call backs that they do not complete.
And worst of all, the case m...Read more

Careful all. Finance Buyer beware. What you sign up to and what you get are not the same.
Careful folks. What they sell you and sign up to is not what you pay for. I brought a car new in 2015 and signed a 4 year finance contract at 0%. That's why I chose Toyota. 0% interest fixed over 4 years. I have been transferred to their "new system" and somehow now paying over a 5 yr term at 10+% on some automated contract. What? I was lied too. Please don't alter contract term details without the customer's knowledge. I've never missed a payment. Spoke to original finance dealer and he has no idea what has gone on and he can remember me but n...Read more
ot the details. He did say they have had lots of problems and unless I can find my original paperwork I'm screwed. On the phone, the rude customer service person laughed at me when I questioned the rate and change. She said I should find my original paperwork. Really? They sent me an automated contract by email that appeared very different from what I recall signing, with automated initials on the bottom of one page. I did not sign a 5 year term. I never entered into a 5 yr payment term at 10.75% and they know it. On another occasion, the young lady said their new system meant all customers were moved across (what does that mean)? I think they are changing automated contract records at will. Get clearer quick. Not good enough TOYOTA. Please stop scamming customers - I am sick of it. Customers understand simple contracts. You have lied to me face to face and with my own signature changed the length of the contract. How dare you. I've since moved states with the car and now I'm selling it. I will end up paying the loan out equating to an entire year more of payments over and above the agreed 4 year loan. Really? BTW. Don't believe the resale rubbish - more exaggerated sales chat. I've been offered $8.5k for a $20,000 car 4 years later. Not a scratch on it. Full Toyota service history. Wow.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Completely lied to me.
Bought a yaris in 2015. Was completely lied to at the time. I had never bought a new car before and they must have seen me coming and laughed all the way to the bank.
Discussed my budget of $50 a week, if i cant get something for that, i wouldn't be buying as i literally could not afford it.
I was told, that they could do that, i was verbally told repayments would be $50 a week on a 4 year loan - i had a trade in so with rough maths i was convinced this was right. I was told i would receive a payment plan once all the finance was approved. I ...Read more

Read the written contract carefully before signing. Don't take their word for it What is said verbally can be different.
Although we had the money to pay the money for our car purchase At Maddington Toyota we were lured into taking their finance with false information given verbally and wrong calculations about how it will benefit us... then - after making us to sign the documents in a rush - on the actual contract found things were different! and also found other hidden costs and fees which we were not told about!

Absolute nightmare to deal with!
I’ve been with them for 10 years and 3 cars. They were fantastic all these years and now they’ve become an absolute nightmare to deal with! Pre-approved a loan, then knocked it back at verification based on the same numbers on which the pre-approval was granted! Waste of time

Onto my 4th car with Toyota Finance
My first car was in 2010, 2nd in 2012, 3rd in 2014 and now 4th in 2022. Although none were Toyota's, I would only go with this company and refuse any other. Why?
TF is so easy to deal with, contracts are clear, online system is comprehensive, interest rate has always been low. I've been approved in a matter of minutes despite self-employment with the 4th car because they had my history for the past three cars.
Seamless transactions.
With everything, people just need to read their contracts. Find out your interest rate before you sign anythin...Read more

Access loan is a rip off
Brought a new Yaris in 2015, wanted a 5 year loan term. told that they had a new loan called access, all it meant was in 4 years time I could upgrade with a guaranteed value or continue to pay off...
my 4 years are up I’m being told only now that The guaranteed value is what is owed on the loan, they say that you have to agree on kilometres used, I never did this, never told to me, my car is in excellent condition. So if I want to trade up it’s pretty much going to be a new full loan with no deposit cause it only covers what is left from previ...Read more

What is with your customer service team on the phone?
I called today to see if I could upgrade from roadside assistance to roadside assistance plus. After getting transferred five times to get told again "let me transfer you" I gave up. This was the same department I kept getting thrown Around. How did I sort it?
We online and joined RACV total care and continued my day within five minutes. Poor customer service Toyota.

Should have explain more clearly
I bought a new car and use Toyota financial. I paid a half of price and other half was 4years car loan.
They didn't explain about contact much just asked me signs here, here and there.
I got really stress that time, because they kept saying, ''We're not sure you can get loan or not.'' End up I got Toyota financial proof but it was too much interest fees and hidden fees. I asked my father to borrow some money to pay off. I called the customer service to told about cancel the car loan. They charged me $2200 early termination fees just a week after I bought the car. I can't believe it. BUY A CAR IN CASH !!!!

All about the $$
Have been using Toyota finance for mine and my partner's vehicle for the last few years. I ran into issues with payment due to work funding issues - called about a hardship application, everything was approved quickly. However, when I called them to set it up, they advised me I would have to cancel my gap cover on my insurance, and that I would have 8 months added to the "back of my loan" despite only needing 2/3 months.
I have now looked over my application and realised that they do NOT freeze interest during this time, as a result the extended time is purely paying an additional $3887 in interest. This company is a joke! Take money from people who clearly have none! Ready to send the car back to them!

Horrible
$12000 in advance with my payments on a 5 year loan, missed one direct debit (my own fault) and made up the payment 2 days later when I realised but was then treated to a harsh threatening letter and a $3 + late payment fee. They never ever answer emails so don't bother trying...never again would I use them!!

What can i do something to find out what was the interest rate at that time

1 answer
Yes that is too much should be 10%. Look at the loan contract again to see if there were hidden cost or irregularities including irresponsible lending you were not aware of, and lodge a complaint with the financial Ombudsman
