Looking at purchasing a V6 GRANDE in the next couple of years, does the air suspension give any trouble over 100000kms, how long does the airbags last aswell as the other suspension components.
Does the extra luxary equipment in the grande have any particular problems after a while, my old 2005 GXL was nothing but reliable no problems with anything electrical.

We have a 2004 Prado Grande and it has clocked over 150,000kms and have noticed the air is leaking out of back air suspension and now it has began to not inflate at all sometimes which makes it a very bumpy ride, does anyone know what needs to be done to fix it??? Thanks

our Prado is a 2006 model, just before the D4D engines. However, we have towed all sorts of things - large, high trailers, caravans and regular trailers with a heavy load and have had no troubles. Didn't even know it was there

Hi greg, the prado is a great tow vehicle, I had the v6 auto and it had plenty of power for towing, the economy wasnt too bad, I towed a car trailer with a old holden ute on it for 300kms and averaged around 18L100 which isnt too bad.
Towing a small caravan wont be a problem you wont know its there.

Got a 2005 Toyota turbo diesel GXL 180 litres of diesel, drives beautifully and tows well with 18 foot Coromal single axle caravan. Tyres Good Year Silent Armour go well Once you unhook the van the car is a real pleasure to drive around. I have just put air bags on rear for towing, mine has done 160k. I am more than happy with mine, I don't think you will be disappointed, can you find one with lower K's Regards

Toyota's tend to burn out engine valves & seats on LPG.When I used to repair & fit LPG to cabs, Toyota vehicles always seemed to have dramas. The newer ones may have hardened valve seats but u would have to check.
In saying this though,if u run the vehicle at least twice a week on premium petrol u shouldn't have any problems
