Hi Natalie, Although I'm no expert it sounds like your problem may be electrical. Just another suggestion, if you are a member of the RACV they have a technical department who can give you advice might be worth a try. sorry for your trouble.

Advice on a 2007 toyota yaris that I am thinking of buying. Kilometers is sitting on 149000, price is $9000. Cars looks in good condition, is this a reasonable price or should I try to negotiate to have price dropped?

Hi, I recently bought a 2007 Toyota yaris YRS...and I'm wondering if it does have a auxiliary port where I can plug my cable to?

It depends. If it was manufactured from Feb 2007 onwards then i think the aux port is located in the storage area next to the driver's left leg. If it was manufactured before that then it doesnt have one and you will hve to use an FM transmitter like i do

I have the 2013 Yaris YRX with the SD navigation system in it. Has anyone with this system been able to disable the school crossings with out disabling the traffic warnings? All the Toyota people I have spoken too can not to this it must be a problem with the SD navigation system in the Yaris. What can / will they do, nothing!

If it is not affecting any safety issue that affects the actual driver I wouldn't worry about it unless it might make the car unsafe to drive

Yaris XP90 Hatch (2005-2011)

I have just test driven a Yaris 2008 model. There are many things I love about it- it drives like a new car, the seats are reasonsbly comfortable and its small and fuel efficient. On the down side I found the steering a bit stiff and I wondered if anyone else had found this. I have been driving a Mazda manual previously and although there are many similarities I found the steering a little easier on the wrists in the Mazda

Allison, I have a 2010 Yaris YRS--Sedan--so unable to tell you about the 2008--however I find that mine is in no way stiff--(however I was driving a 1985 car with NO power steering b4)--but I had test driven quite a few other cars.
If you are not sure I would be having it checked out by a mechanic or someone that is familiar with the model.-- was it private or a dealer?
