Great moving experience
Transcorp moved our furniture from Canberra to Melbourne on time and with great care. The Team was professional in moving and packing furniture from our 4 bedroom and study house. Unloading the next day was carried out efficiently with all items placed where asked. Very good price and excellent service.

Professional, great communication, good pricing and great workers
Moved our 3 bedroom townhouse from Melbourne to Sydney at short notice. Pricing was good, the arrangements were easy and the truck and workers arrived right on time. They were careful, consistent and quick, and didn't complain about the awkward steps and heavy items. Delivery was also on time, and the driver and his workers worked well with the arrangements at the new building. I was expecting the whole thing to be stressful, and it was, but there was no stress caused by Transcorp, they actually went out of their way to make it all go smoothly, and this at a really difficult moment for everyone worldwide. I would definitely use these guys again, and would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

Damaged 50% of my delivery and terrible insurance process
Be warned. Pre sales, customer experience and pick up was great, but receiving my goods with 50% of them damaged 2 weeks late and making an insurance claim was TERRIBLE. I Couldn't believe that 50% of my belongings were all damaged, busted fridge with the motor displaced full if dents, busted sofa frame, split bookshelf, glassware, cookware, lost bed frame, all furniture was dented and chipped.. over 10k purchase price of damage. It was disgusting. The outcome was transcorp removing themselves from fault, replacing damaged items with crap onl...Read more
ine replacements at half the price (and didn't factor in delivery costs if purchased). It was the most disheartening process. I purchased full cover insurance to walk away with 2k to replace everything. It was a gruelling 3 month process that i gave into because we needed money to get a fridge and a second hand bedframe, tallboy and side cabinet. That's all I could replace. This was a small 3bdrm home move from South to NT so im guessing our stuff was loaded and unloaded many times. So transcorp are ok if you have no issues but once your belongings are damaged this is where you will have nothing but problems. The insurance and internal processes are full of clauses and loophples for trancorp to not be at fault. Save yourself the trauma and either sell most of you stuff or pay that little bit more for a moral company.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Read This Before Using Transcop - a very bad experience - lots of helpful information if you use them
Moved from Perth to Sydney and used Transcorp, would like to give people considering this company some understanding of what they doing and my experienced.
What got me to right this review was my TV turned up at Sydney broken, looked like it was dropped from a height, due to the screen being broken and the top frame completely bent. I was told to lodge a compliant with customer service, which I did and it took nearly a week and a couple of emails to obtain a response.

onsibility for their labour component and truck running costs but not accidental damage outside their control. So one would assume a TV drop would be inside their control or who would sign with them if dropping your belongings couldn't be help (considering they are a removal company). The answer to the damage was they weren't at fault as they followed their process, which I said that it doesn't make sense. Before I booked this moved I asked Sales team about what they are covered for which is $500 per box and responsibility for their removalist people and transportation. So I questioned them on this and they kept stipulating they followed their process and I asked to see their processes on this and sent me a standard process (not a detailed transcorp process). So if you take their logic, if they write into their process that they can pick up your goods and drop them 500 meters down the road, they aren't at fault. I advised them that it is their responsibility and even in their PO terms and conditions it goes through damages and what it covers, never once mentioning any "out" clauses about process. When you read further into this they have also written that they don't have any responsibility to their third parties, but get this they use third parties to all the work eg pick up and deliveries, so they are knowingly trying to avoid any recall which means they know what they are doing is wrong. They never advised you before pick up a third party will be coming to pick up your belongings, nor provide you with their third parties terms and conditions, so they believe you will have no way of making a claim against them (this will never stand up in court as they have to take ownership).Similar opinion? SHOCKING & UNPROFESSIONAL
We moved from Melbourne to Sydney, on the day of the move they arrived 4.5 hours late! They had no understanding of time management or professionalism.
I had to help them with the move due to the slow pace and laziness. The communication in transit was loose at best and didn't stick to the agreed arrival time.
They broke our fridge and desk plus also damaging numerous pieces of furniture.
I raised these issues with [Name Removed] who advised the following - "it has been determined that your goods were handled and transported in the prescrib...Read more

I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company. This would have to be the worst relocation experience I have had.
Trancorp sub-contract the removal out, and it turns out, the subcontractors then subcontract again. There appears to be no quality checks in place.
Move was from Canberra to Melbourne. My goods were picked up at 9.15pm on a Sunday night!
I had attempted to contact the driver ([name removed]) Saturday afternoon (when I had not received a call to confirm pick up time as advised by the office on Friday) to get an ETA for Sunday with a one word ...Read more

Brilliant Service from Start to Finish!!!!!!!!
I used Transcorp to move from NSW to QLD last June and I couldnt recommend the company enough. 5 STARS!!!!!
This was a project I turned inside out.. I had contacted about 5 companies and most I found arrogant, rigid and expensive.
Transcorp were a breathe of fresh Air.
We drove up with our 3 month old son so it was hard for us to guarantee we could do the trip in 12 hours as most companies demanded.

Great communications
Very good service - plenty of feedback on liftup times as well as drop off etc. 10/10 on communications!
I had some really challenging time constraints and it all wroked out thanks to the communications.
Moreover, I booked the move only 6 days in advance so all in all well above expectation!!
Very stressful thing in general but Transcorp definitely made this much easier and smoother.
Started on time (exactly on time) and finished exactly on time as well.
It was Sydney to Gold Coast to fairly large distance.
Would definitely recommend !!

Worst experience ever
We moved a 3BR house including an upright piano from Melbourne to Brisbane in Feb 2018. It's admittedly been a while since the move, but it was such a horrendous experience I thought it best to warn others if they were considering using Transcorp.
We engaged Transcorp's packing service and bought boxes from them as well because we were short on time. Initial impressions were great, and the phone consultant who handled my case was professional and went above and beyond (taking calls out of hours and following up to ensure that boxes arrived, et...Read more
c.) The packing (by subcontractors) was extraordinarily bad. The packers damaged a plastic storage container during the packing, left items behind, and packed boxes I had already packed into their boxes with a lot of space in the boxes, making them prone to collapse. I had a number of plastic storage containers, and asked the packers if it was best to pack the contents of the containers into boxes and move the containers as a stack, and was repeated told that they would be fine as they were. Upon arrival, 11 of the 13 boxes were broken, 1 was shattered. The pick up arrived late and took a long time (arrived ~1200, left after 2030). I had a box for my TV, and the movers asked if they could box the TV later as they didn't have a screw driver to detach the base. The TV arrived in Brisbane damaged. I asked to take a look at the packed truck and was declined. I didn't insist as it was very late. The truck arrived in Brisbane as scheduled, but they did not begin unloading our stuff until hours later as the truck driver had a disagreement with Transcorp about moving the piano as I had steps to the house and the drivers did not have the equipment to move it up the steps. I ended up paying the truck driver cash to move the piano into my house, which caused further damage to the piano. The truck looked like it had been involved in a collision, with its front fender bent in and the headlights not working. The truck driver ended up leaving the truck in front of my house overnight and I presume they slept in it as they unloaded well into the night, and couldn't drive without working headlights. Every single piece of large furniture (and some small ones) were damaged in the move. Shelves were missing from a bookcase. Our insurance claim was more expensive than the move itself. I spoke to a gentleman John who claimed he was the owner of Transcorp a few days after the move and provided some less than favourable feedback about the move. When I submitted an insurance claim, the Transcorp representative who called me said I provided positive feedback to John when I didn't. They took a very long time to process the claim, and I had to threaten action with ACCC before anything happened. We moved mid-February, and it took until the end of May for the insurance claim to be finalised. If you have nice furniture that can't be easily replaced, I would recommend against moving with Transcorp. We have moved many times prior to this including transcontinental, interstate and intrastate moves, and never had an experience as bad as this. We definitely won't be using Transcorp again.1 comment

Highly recommended interstate relocation company
I would like to say a huge thank-you to Lilly, Sue and all removalists who helped with my move in Transcorp. The recent move from Canberra to Brisbane is my first interstate relocation. I was dreading it since day one because of my bad experience with moving houses in Canberra - surely the interstate move would be even worse! I was prepared to break my back and bank when I approached Transport. However, I was so pleasantly surprised by their reasonable price, the very helpful admin staff and the professional, hard working and easy to talk to removalists! Thanks to the help of those people, the relocation to Brisbane is so much easier than I anticipated. I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends!

Customer Service from Lilly
I recently relocated to Perth from the Gold Coast and after being in Perth for 5 months found an apartment and i had my furniture transported over through your company. Lilly Addamo was the one i was dealing with throughout this process and she was absolutely fantastic! She made the process so easy and was in constant communication with myself and my dad. Moving is stressful and she made it less stressful. Everything arrived within 5 days and not 1 thing was damaged! She was completely understanding when i had to change delivery address and nothing was ever a bother! I can’t thank her enough for all her help :)

While On the phone providing me with alternate descriptions on items to work out the cubic squares as I had no idea . Next day pick up from Adelaide and 3 days later I was shocked to receive phone calls (missed ) and text messages saying items have arrived I let time slip away and couldn’t get hold of my local transport but low and behold I received and email and then another call from Brenton advising my goods were at depo of my local transport depo, Brenton has organised for me and already spoke to him . Made my day that real customer service is still around .
was half the cost compared to the other two quotes . Thanks again

The absolute WORST
I booked an interstate move through Transcorp at the end of last year and it was a nightmare from start to end.
- The sales reps were pushy and rude.
- Pick up took over an hour longer than estimated despite the fact that I helped carry my stuff out to the truck.
- They organised for delivery outside of the window I was originally given.
- Broke multiple pieces of furniture and never responded to insurance claim.
- Movers took multiple smoke breaks in the back of the truck with my furniture in it.
- One mover took a dump in my toilet which stunk the house out for the rest of the day. Not trying to be funny - it was disgusting and inappropriate.
I will never use this company again and wouldn’t recommend you do either.

They Use Subcontractors - it's in the fine print
I move from Melbourne to Sydney and engaged Transcorp to take our 2 bedroom house load up there based on the specific verbal confirmation they had given me that they were not brokers, ie. that they did not engage subcontractors to move my goods - they had their own trucks and staff. Turns out that's not the case, and it's in the fine print once the contract arrived that they can engage subcontractors, which they did. My furniture was scratched and damaged, the ceiling of the bedroom they moved out of was scratched with the end of the bed, boxes...Read more
were loaded sideways or on an angle (photos available), boxes were dropped as they were loaded, the furniture wasn't stacked properly and was all over the place in the truck (photos available). Also because Transcorp and their subcontractor miscommunicated on the arrival time, my furniture was moved to another truck - and again packed like it had just been thrown in. Just be aware that Transcorp can engage subcontractors, so it would be the same as using a broker which would often be less expensive, with the same bad results.1 comment

Do not choose Transcorp!
1 bedroom move interstate:
Just some of the issues experienced throughout Transcorp's service.
- Removalists arrived after 6pm instead of scheduled 12-4pm, being notified of this change at approx.10:30am on the day of moving. Due to this delay missed my only transport to the destination (which Transcorp was aware of beforehand), and as a result, missed pre-arranged accommodation and slept on the floor.

sage on when they were exactly arriving. Furthermore, one removalist did not speak English at all and the other had broken English, it was very hard to communicate with both removalists at all times, as they needed navigation and parking directions (when it was quite straightforward). - When discussing logistics with the removalist, he said he was not going to deliver the furniture between the scheduled 6am-9am on because he "have to pick up my wife from the airport at 9:35am". Transcorp verbally confirmed to me hours before this discussion that the 6am-9am time was correct (also received via text). This caused another major inconvenience not only to myself but to the availability of others to assist in unpacking/setting up. Consequently the removalists came at 12pm. Attending to personal matters during a time when I should be serviced by a professional business is not satisfactory.1 comment

Rather than dealing with each of your points individually, I’d just like to publicly apologize for your experience. Occasionally things don’t go to plan. In this case, it reads like an episode out of Fawlty Towers. We work really hard as a team to better ourselves-training, processes, systems, all the way from our Sales team, through to Operations, and our representation on the road. The team allocated to your removal has been given a little spell off the road to allow them to spend some time within our warehousing operation, in close proximity to senior operations staff, where some of the finer points can be reiterated. For example, we take communication very seriously . We recently appointed an Operations Team member, whose sole focus is to liaise between on road staff and customers around timings. Things go wrong-most times it’s the lack of communication that causes the most angst. I noticed that we did touch base with you early on the schedule day to advise you of delays. I realize this doesn’t make things better-but sometimes it’s all we can do. I am really concerned however that it seems to have taken us some time to get back to you to allow you the opportunity to voice your concerns. This is inexcusable. I understand that despite direct contact by both my Operations Manager and myself, we have not really been able to satisfy all your requirements. The only commitment I can make to you is that we learn and get better when we get things wrong, and if you ever need to move again, please contact me directly either by phone on 1300466838, or email [email protected]. We’d love the opportunity to make things right. Kind Regards StanSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
