I think its a disgrace that Travelmarvel are refusing to give refunds for trips that have been cancelled by them and only wanting to give credits. NOT GOOD ENOUGH

You can get a refund however they can take up to 80% for their expenses. When you try to claim your credit and organise another trip you will be stung for more money. They are sitting with more than $10000 of mine and when we tried to book the trip for next year guess what - the early bird prices quoted on their website doesn't include people who have already paid for tours that they have cancelled. By the time we go on our tour next year they will have had our money for 18 months and they still tried to screw us for more so we have had to downgrade the cabin.

If the boat is moored in Budapest in the same location as we were, its a 10 minute walk to the Chain Bridge. We were very close to the Central Market on the Pest side. Easy to locate.
A glass of wine in the lounge is about 4 Euro, and they are generous portions - guessing about 200cl, close to one third of a standard bottle. Not sure if there are premium bottles available or at what cost.

Yes we did. We took spirits and mixers on board. Then went to the bar and asked for large glass plus buckets of ice

What are the prices for laundry on travelmarvel diamond?

We were on the Travelmarvel Jewel, but I'd guess the laundry prices on the Diamond will be the same. I cannot recall the exact prices, but I do remember thinking that they were very reasonable indeed compared to ocean cruise ships and hotels. I think a mans shirt was about three Euros for laundry and pressing. We sent three or four full bags bags over the two week period and the total laundry bill for this was about 50 Euros. The quality of the laundry and pressing was good. Pressing is a little cheaper than the full laundry/pressing. If you need items handled with care, such as a cool wash or no tumble dry, they are willing to accept such requests. Your cabin attendant will handle the laundry collection/delivery for you - turnaround time is 24 hours or so. Hope this helps.

Hi Brian, I did this tour with Travelmarvel in August 18, they take very good care of you. I have done seven tours with them and the only one I felt was not up to their usual standard was St Petersburg to Moscow. They have to use Russian ships and catering, enough said. I hope you enjoy Vietnam as much as I did.

Cruise cabins I presume ... yes they are. In hotels in some co7ntries soap seems to be a premium. Useful to have some in the luggage.

Hi Chrissy,
Complaints too many to write here. Was on the Sapphire returned early July. Hope yours has a better Cruise Director and things go without hiccups. Ours was very disappointing. Would never travel with them again. I work in the service industry and if I treated anyone the way we were treated I would be sacked.

We were on the Diamond in August 2022 - cruise director (Cheryl) was extremely professional. The staff could not be faulted. So sorry you had a bad experience - hard to believe this is the same company.

You can sit where ever you like.You can wear casual clothes you had on during the day.

Hello [name removed]. My husband and I will be doing the 21 day Paris to Budapest trip with Travelmarvel in July 2016. I see you did the Amsterdam to Budapest trip in May. I am feeling a bit apprehensive insofar, choosing to go with Travelmarvel. Obviously price was a factor - though I still think quite expensive. What was your experience & do you have any suggestions to offer?

We did not feel we were compromised by taking the cheaper option and saw more than enough of what we expected. We found the food and free drinks of the best quality and had a wonderful waiter who made meal times a wonderful experience. Overall we did not feel that we missed or by taking the cheaper option.

Is there a laundry to do your washing?

Hello Dixi, There is no guest laundry, but laundry service is available at a cost. I check the pricing and it is not too expensive. I actually will be doing the Amsterdam to Budapest at the end of May with Travel Marvel, and I know it will be a great trip.
