2 Days so far, Can't Get Money Out
UNRELIABLE.
If you want to "sweep" money to a card account, etc. DON'T DON'T DON'T
use this bank. The online systems are unreliable. The phone sometimes cannot get through.
2 days been going trying to get through so I can get some money out.
Had better service from banks in Philippines or Fiji.

Not really an online bank - terrible customer service
I've had a Ubank account since 2008/2009, and am giving up on it. It is ok unless anything goes wrong. The moment it does, you can't fix it online, and their customer service staff will not help you. So - it's not really an online bank, it's just internet banking like every other bank has now. I have been round and round in circles trying to change details - and am giving up after 18 months of trying. I bank with other organisations as well, and have never had trouble with them like I do with Ubank. Avoid them - the positives are are far outweighed by the negatives.

Criminal how they hold on to your money for days after you transact
I've had a UBank account for a long time now, and my daughter too has had one for a couple of years. We have had to make alternative arrangements with OTHER banks because of their tardiness in transferring funds. It's obvious they are using our money in the short term money market, because other banks can transfer funds in ONE perhaps TWO days. another bank because it just takes too long. Amazes me why these banks cannot be held to account - it I use a credit card, within minutes the funds appear taken from my account. So they CAN do it if it suits THEM. It's electronic - so how can they justify the transaction taking days??? A completely frustrating experience. Please save yourself some trouble and do not use them.
I went through a thoroughly frustrating 5 week experience. The customer experience is the worst of any financial institution I have encountered in any context. I had three significantly different versions of what our 'pre-approved' home loan policy entailed. The online application process is cumbersome and those from U Bank either lack or refuse to use common sense on every step of the way. The online platform is cumbersome and often crashes. In the end, we went to a 'normal' bank and got approval in a few hours with the same interest rate.

ANOTHER UNIMPRESSED UBANK REFINANCER
We were attracted to Ubank's interest rate, being a completely online bank didn't bother us as we were happy for everything to be done online and rarely visit a branch. It's been 10 weeks since we lodged our application, we are still not refinanced. We've had to make several complaint to get Ubank to continue working on our application. Their customer service put you on hold for long time and when they answer they say sorry i don't know the answer and need to transfer you to someone else and again they put you on hold for long time.

Excellent service and quick process
Very happy with my refinance application. Their process was very quick and some one look into my application every day and accepted all my documents very same day. My loan got approved in 7 days and got settled in 30 days. Delayed happened only due to my current lender. I have read so many negative comments about ubank process. But in my case everything went very fast and smooth. I liked their instant chat feature. I would recommend ubank to everyone and dont ignore this bank due to negative comments by others. Their process is very fast and easy.

Worst bank and should be banned
Took 2 months to get debit card. The statement was not showing correctly and when I complained, their tech support person called me and was almost yelling at me. I am literally maintaining a parallel spreadsheet on my PC to track my money as I don't trust this bank anymore. Just because of interest rate I am still hanging on to it.
Today, my password didn't work. I reset twice but each time you logout you have to reset again as it stops accepting the earlier password. What a pathetic bank. I don't know why such banks are being allowed to operate in this country.

Deadly slow. Never ever get it done on time
Refinancing is ridiculous with delays from their solicitors to book a settlement date. One month crossed just to arrange a settlement date in-spite of all documents ready and processed. Simply, a lazy bank with sleeping people. It seems their minimum process time is 5 months. Regretting now.

All I wanted to do was start a SMSF Term Deposit. Initially the online software would not work, after phone discussions I was asked to apply for a personal term deposit so that I could be recognised by the system, this involved going to the PO and getting ID'd. N". Natalie advised that someone would ring me back.....no-one ever did! Another phone call to someone who knew nothing about what the history was a waste of time. Started to online Chat with a new person, Daniel, who again knew nothing about the situation. It is now 2 weeks since I first started the application. It takes over a week to change your phone number.
I can't access my money because it takes a week for them to send a letter with a code so I can then change my phone number to access my account.
Fraud prevention is rubbish. They allowed someone to use a copy of my card in the US when I was clearly in Brazil. Then when I was in the US they cancelled my card when I tried to buy a $1 sim card and claimed they didn't know I was overseas when I had been for over six months. Then they allow my card to be overcharged when I don't have an overdraft.

No postcode...no service
Attempted to change my details but couldn't remember where I lived when I set the account up and so didn't know the postcode, Tough luck..I'll have to go through the verification process again at Aus Post. Blimey you lot. You have a dozen other details about me and knowing a postcode is the pinnacle of your identity check. Crap service after 30 minute on-hold.

3 rounds with ubank; bumpy but not bad
Hi guys, i can only tell you my experience with the home loan applications over internet/phone (from 2008 till 2015). This has been a breeze most of the times and operators (yes the are really based in Australia) know their stuff. When they don't know they make an effort to give you the right answer anyway. i have renegotiated the same loan 3 times (top up) every time the process is easy and when actual paperwork comes by mail is stupid proof. y ask the first time; some time papers they ask are ambiguous but it only takes a short call to clarify (the tell you straight some forms they use are general). usually from fist contact to settlement you are looking at 6 weeks max. When you fail: when you provide wrong papers or if you don't look at website tracker for comments and rely on them to do all chasing. Yes there was a time when they ask for the same doco that i already provided (no one looked at case note) but it took a 20 minutes call to solve (you must stay one top of game). I have done other deals with mortgage brokers and believe me ubank is by no means a more painful experience . Now the negative; last round i was given the wrong advise to close a credit card to have enough credit capacity to keep going; after i used fresh cash from my end to do that i was told the information given was wrong; some one from ubank called me to advise of that and when i said i already used over 15k of fresh cash that i could not get back they said "too bad". Without getting into the arguing round details some one called me the next day saying that the loan was going ahead. To me is clear that some one down there go the rocket!!! The point was never whether i could afford the loan or not as i can easily with my salary; their issue was that they sent the poor junior team lead to fight a case that at time she herself admired she didn't have a case for. My recommendation; never lie, never insult and always and ALWAYS remind them their own words " this call is being recorded" and ask for your call reference number. In summary do I hate ubank; of course not, they are a good financial place to put your loan on, but when you bump into these extrovert people that want to flip the plot always stay calm and remember your words: "all calls are being recorded; can i please have me reference number" (once again this is assuming you are not the one flipping the plot......)Similar opinion? Pathetic! Absolutely Pathetic And A Waste Of Time.
This is the worst loan application experience of my life, as one other reviewer has already stated. I have spent now nearly 3 months providing them documentation, scanning, re scanning, sending, updating, re sending, every time I give them the document they want, they ask for something else. When I ask them to just tell me in one go what they need, I get no response. The live chat is utterly useless.

So I figured I will star another one with them and guess what? I completed all the initial details I needed to online, then got to the end and accepted the privacy terms, clicked 'Submit' and it spat back an error that the form cannot be submitted due to an internal error. Big time cheaters
Just can't believe how they steal 60% of interest on USaver - UBank big cheaters, never again. Just bought a property and their interest rate on UHome Loan was tempting but nah never again UBank.

What a nightmare !
Setting up an account is complex and involves queuing at Australia Post with verification of ID documentation. The internet site and a telephone query suggested it can be all be done simply and online. When an internet session times out you cannot log in again and cannot reset the password - very frustrating but the issue is known to them. When something goes wrong with the account the service is terrible. Escalating problems does not receive adequate attention.

Whats the story with designating my Linked account as a Payee account? Of course its my linked account- Thats where the money came from. I send you a secure email to request information but no answer from YOU. I ring up and wait, and wait on the phone to talk to someone. Only to be told your Linked account is a payee account with a 20k withdrawl limit. I have to wait 10 Days for verification WTF. You make it so difficult to use this account with all your hidden tricks and inability to communicate with your customer. Worst bank Ive ever delt with and the online reviews confirm it.
