Yes! Multiple to-&-fro chat, each time they refused a refund giving the same generic cut & paste that they had reviewed my "trip". No trip at all occurred.

I don’t represent Uber to confirm there is any safe child seat installed in all of the Uber rides. I saw most Uber drivers do not installed a child in their car. Perhaps you can request upon making a booking your Uber ride.
U can take Cab, upto 1 year old kid can go on lap at back seats only and above 1 year on back seats only but with seat belt and accompanied by an adult.
Drivers don’t have child seats. If they did they would have to store many capsules and booster seats.
Bottom line-riders should supply and fit for safety and legal reasons.

I have been booted out off Uber and ubereats on my and my son account for no reason you wouldnt let me use my bank card or anything yous are a joke you shouldnt kick anyone out for no reason you sould email them but u didnt but even give me a reason just told me to make a new account so I did that under my son account and got logged out and wont let me use my card on any account when it has money in there

The email address I used to create my account can no longer be accessed. Uber online supports refuses to accept my request for update as I am not using my original email address.
How can I Uber Support to communicate?

Hey Ron.
Try a whole new email address see if that works. I think their system is designed as such to stop people having multiple accounts. It’s a bit heavy handed I’ll admit. Had a similar issue with my driver account. It took some time they finally sorted it out
Give that a go if it doesn’t work. Email them tell them your old email is no longer in use.

Can i get Uber from emerald springs roadhouse to darwin? How much i need pay?

The distance is 200 km.
I just tested it in the Uber app and it says
‘Uber is currently unavailable’. So simple answer is ... not using Uber.
Even if it was available you would have to negotiate an additional cash fee for the driver’s return trip.
Edit: Uber is available in the Darwin area only.

I don’t understand why you would ask the public as this is NOT the Uber site.
‘please contact support about your account’ clearly indicates what action you need to take.
For drivers there has ALWAYS been support via the app as well as phone support. I have experienced problems with both because the call centre is ‘overseas’.
I found that attending their office has been the quickest way to resolve issues.
Please share Uber’s issue as well as the outcome.

I just tested it without booking and it appears you can.
But there could be typical problems with pickup.
Wrong address, father not out front ready, will driver be able to contact you via an o/s number, time difference.
You could try it with someone else who lives in NZ as a trial run.
Also if father is infirm suggest using UberAssist.

I have a disability and use a wheeled walker. I need to be picked up from the location where I requested a ride on the app, not from a sometimes quite distant pick up point or across a wide and busy road. I send a message to the driver spelling out where I am, but the drivers generally ignore my message and wait at the pick up point. How do I get around this?

‘Wait at the pickup point’ would indicate they went to the correct place. If you have correctly identified the exact pick up address (and not the automatically assigned address) and contacted the driver then you have done the best you could.
Note: the GPS is never 100% accurate.
I hope you are correctly using UberAssist (and not UberX).
According to UBER’s customer service’s call back, you have to call the driver within 5 minutes after the order was confirmed, because if you cancel the order within 5 minutes after order confirmation, it is free of charge.
However, I suggest you to use cab instead of UBER

Can I pay cash to the driver in Melbourne Australia?

I am not aware of any way to pay the driver cash if you use the App to order a ride. However if you arranged for him to pick you up without using the App (call him/her privately) you could probably get him/her to quote you for the trip and pay him cash. They are not supposed to do it but many do. I am not sure of the insurance arrangements in these cases.
As far as I know (and the procedure I followed) was to book the uber through the app upon which you include your bank details. Once your journey is completed uber bills you through your bank account and this is how they collect the money.
The downside to this is, for my ride the driver did not arrive for over 20 minutes and I was charged a 10AUD cancellation fee which I have disapproved.
Further I had to cancel my bank card and have a new card issued by my bank to prevent any further deductions from my bank account by uber.
Giving bank details to unknown parties are tricky and something I choose to avoid.
Uber is not any cheaper than taking a silver cab or a 13cab (some drivers do not know their way around Melbourne - watch out that your fair is not increased due to this)
Uber hires any person who wishes to drive for them, they lack professionalism and I would not use the uber service in the future

Has anyone found a phone number that you can call to speak to a human being if you have an issue you can't fix through the App? The 1300 number on the site, even though it says 24/7 rider support turns out to be only support for the drivers.

My family and friends have been using Uber extensively for nearly 3 years and have never been able to find any reference to Rider phone support. Please provide the relevant Rider web link you mentioned.
Research of their website only mentions Driver phone support.

Drivers main feedback is about riders who forget phone, sunglasses etc. Typically Drivers get abused, threatened, assaulted and receive no monetary compensation. I guess it is not surprising then that some items are tossed out (or taken by a subsequent rider).
Also not surprising, given hacking etc, that Uber refuse to help when a rider can’t provide correct account details.
Anyway there are a number of additional documented ways to contact Uber and specifically include lost items.
A friend forgot their phone in a taxi. Rang the taxi company and provided all the trip details etc. If you guessed the phone was returned you guessed wrong. New Phone=$1100.
If you do locate an Uber contact number, find a ‘phone contactable company’ or get your phone back please share here. Thanks.
I happened to be a passenger in a car and I spotted a very large building with an UBER sign on it. I went in and the staff there were very helpful. It was a Driver centre where they processed applications for new drivers. I explained my problem to the young man at the counter who said one of the support staff could help me. After about 15 minutes a young lady listened to my story again, took identification, found the driver and called him. He had the phone. He subsequently dropped it into the Driver Centre where I will pick it up today. Happy (if very lucky) ending. Write down your user name and password as if you get them wrong you haven;'t got a chance.
More interesting is that the driver still had it.
In this instance you solved the issue by visiting their office which contradicts with your ‘no chance’ comment above !?
I assume you were mistaken about the Rider contact number.
Did you give a ‘Lost Item Return Fee’, for YOUR inconvenience to the driver, as listed in the Help section of the app?
Hint - your phone is worth more than $20 :)

I can’t claim to have made that trip but
1. I used the front of the app to get a quote of $25-$35 (UberX)
2. I used the HELP section of the app and got a quote of $35-$45 (UberX)
Obviously it depends on variables as listed in the app including exact destination, traffic, road conditions etc.
Also listed in the app you would have seen ‘dynamic pricing’ (aka surging) which relates to demand which then causes price changes.. so yes I believe events impact prices.
Sometimes, if you find you are in a surge area, walking a block or two away from the venue will make a huge difference to the price. If you can't for whatever reason, get an uber to the next suburb, then get out and call another. Very unlikely to get a surge in the next suburb

Download and register then tap on the 3 bars at top left of screen and read all the sections to get all your answers.
If you need a ride, state which area you're at and at what time and your destination. I can almost guarantee there will be drivers willing to go there
