Not a bad nailer
I purchased to mainly do smaller tasks like nailing furniture together or making small wooden frames etc. I find with larger nails it struggles to push them into harder wood. I have upped my compressor output pressure to over the recommended 100psi but still doesn't quite work all the time. I will have to try and play with it more as I have only purchased it in the last 2 months and carried out only a few small jobs.
Overall for the price it's quite good. I also purchased a larger framing gun which I have not used yet but Unimac brand which I don't have too many issues with
Purchased in July 2021 at eBay for A$120.00.

Brilliant little brad nailer
I've bought mine for doing a lot of architraves and skirting and have used it on so many different things since. Lining planter boxes with plastic, reupolstered a set of chairs etc. It's one of my favourite tools and the price was excellent on Kogan. Battery lasts for ages. I'd definitely buy again. Mines only the 18 gauge so only for light work but I'd happily buy same brand framing gun if it's anywhere near as good as this. I've had it about 9 months now no trouble.
Purchased in July 2021 at Kogan.com.

Battery problem
Mine is UNIMAC Cordless 2 in 1 Stapler and Nailer. I think it's early model of the type (18V). I used the gun for less than 5 times. The gun is fine but the battery shows problem after 2-3 charges. It's now denying charges and slowly drains out. Contacted Edisons for support and got answer that battery is not under their warranty and suggested to by replacement battery, which is at the time of this writing, selling for about $55. How come a new battery shows problem after few charges? This poor quality battery was also reported here and new rep...Read more
lacement battery might have same problem. I dont want to by replacement over and over again so my reply is No to the replacement and ditch the gun theoretically. By the way, image of the gun here is not actual image of my gun.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Batteries don't last. Unable to buy spares batteries locally.
The nail gun works fine but the batteries do not last. Very frustrating. Tried to buy batteries locally but could not find any. Bought more on line but same problem. Last for a couple of uses and then they drain and don't recharge properly. Tried to get phone assistance to no avail.

Brilliant Cordless nailer
I was after a brad nailer, but didn't want to spend hundreds. I saw Masters hardware has an electric nailer/stapler in their range, with reasonable reviews on their website. However, it can't take anything longer than 35mm 18 gauge brad nails. Not quite long enough for me. I don't have a compressor, so an air nailer was not really an option either. I saw the Unimac nailer on Ebay for $169 and thought it was worth a punt.
The Unimac is cordless, and is also a nailer/stapler. It will handle up to 50mm 18 gauge brads. I have used it on a few DI...Read more
Y projects and it has performed exceptionally well. I have used 25mm, 35mm and 50mm brads into hardwood and the nails have all been driven in just below the surface. The magazine hold 100 nails and they claim it will fire 1200 nails per hour. This may be optimistic, but I can't say it doesn't. The battery seems to last for a few hours of pretty constant use and recharges in an hour. For the price, I am extremely impressed with how well built this nailer is and how well it performs. I have not had one jamming issue after a couple of hundred nails used. It probably isn't the best for commercial/tradie use, but is fantastic for the DIYer. Nails can be bought at any decent Hardware store, so no issue there. Thoroughly recommend this nailer. It is a corker. The only negative is that it is a little heavy, certainly not a deal breaker.1 comment

I believe some of the Unimac models take the same nails/staplers but if you are asking about quality of the unit then nothing compared to a Paslode

I too have a 34 degree Unimac gas nailer and it has yet to have a box of nails put through it and it doesn't want to play the game. Sent it back to Edisons in Sydney where I purchased it (the agents) an they tell me it has a firing pin problem and that my gun is not repairable due to it's age (which is 2 years) and yet they still sell the exact same model on their web site. Can someone give me some info on where I can either get a new firing pin from or somebody who can fix it because obviously these agents can't.
