Excellent urban pram
I've owned the vista and the alta now and was a little surprised the alta was a bit bumpier comparatively than the smoothness of the vista at first
Having said that, they're two different beasts, and whilst I leave the vista open at home for walks and shopping, the alta is great for the car as its lightweight, relatively compact and the high upright tall seat is great
Uppababy prams are really fuss free and everything about them is just easy, there's no fighting with these prams.
I would recommend the vista if you live in areas where there was a lot of unmade paths or hills, and the alta if you live in urban areas
But both are terrific prams

Best stroller I’ve owned
So easy to maneuver
Easily to fold and unfold.
Light weight
Seat hold a heavy baby (unlike my old one)
My favourite feature is the MASSIVE basket underneath. Means I can go shopping and fit so many groceries underbeath as it can hold 12kgs (or was it 13kgs??) in the basket alone.
And I love that the seat is interchangeable with the bassinet and it can be forward or rear facing.

Comfortable but annoying to transport
I've found the UppaBaby not as easy to use as I would like. We began with the bassinet and found it difficult to access the basket beneath it as there was little space between the two. Once we switched to the normal seat with infant insert it was a lot better but we still had to take it apart every time we put it in the car - now it's forward facing it's possible to fold the whole thing as one piece but it's still quite bulky.
The shade doesn't have a lot of coverage until the seat is almost upright.
I've also noticed it's not great on anyt...

However I do like how steady it is thanks to the four wheels (not easy to tip over), and with the normal seat, the basket is easy to access and roomy. The seat has a good number of positions for reclining etc although it doesn't recline flat. I would not recommend this pram based on my experience, but I think if you walked everywhere (ie didn't load it into a car frequently) and had smooth pavements around or shopping centres, it would be suitable.

Great pram
I chose this because it had a big basket, is easy to fold down and has the option for backward n forward facing seat. Perfect from newborn to toddler age. Another reason was because it wasn't as heavy as other prams. I like that it's easy to drive around, although can be bumpy on rougher terrains like at the zoo but still manageable. Another positive is that I can remove all the fabric to be cleaned in a washing machine !

Love my pram
I love my pram but wish I had purchased the Vista simply so I could easily add on a seat. At the time of purchase the cost difference was too much but now that our bub is older and we are considering another, I kick myself for not spending that money. The Alta like the Vista is beautiful to use. Super lightweight, fantastic control, easily stored and well constructed. Visually it is a beautiful looking pram and the icing on the cake is customer service are fantastic to deal with!!

Best baby stuff I ever bought
Loved it so much that I want to keep and give it to my daughter some 30 yrs later! It is light, yet study and durable. It has a HUGE basket which makes it perfect for going to the shops. Very easy to clean as the fabrics can be wiped down and inserts can be machine washed. Do not need a bassinet which is a great saving! I am using it for my second child now and still looking like new!

Perfect for Sydney life
We bought this pram for our baby born in February 2017. Note that is does not come with the bassinet, which we bought separately and is highly recommended.
Pros: well constructed, sturdy, HUGE shopping basket (toys, nappy bag, groceries, jackets, freebies from baby expos), narrow wheel base for a full sized pram makes it easy to navigate busy shopping centres, relatively light (<10kg) so my wife has no issues lifting it into the car boot, foot brakes work just fine, folding up is a smooth action
Cons: the UV extension canopy looks and feels really cheap (but does the job well), UV canopy could extend longer to give better protection of baby's eyes

A solid stroller.
This stroller has served us well. Easy to maneuver, collapse and reassemble. The build quality is of a high standard and we've had no issues after two solid years of use. Maybe a little heavy to lift in and out of the car on a regular basis. Lighter materials would be advantageous. Good accessible storage under the seat for all your gear.

Not worth the price!
I have been using this pram for about a year now and am not satisfied with it. It is relatively lightweight and easy to fold and unfold. It is also easy to manoeuvre on smooth surfaces. However, if you try to go over a small bump, the pram struggles! It is priced as a premium pram but functionality is anything but that!

Very good pram, overall quality is excellent and ease of use outstanding.
We have the vista as well and whilst the Alta is very very good, the vista is our 'main pram' especially for walks, but I love the fact the alta is our perfect pram for the car as its really more of an urban pram. Little one loves the high upright supportive seat which is really difficult to find on most prams (the only others we found were the Jane, mutsy, stokke and emmaljunga prams) that had nice bolt upright seats. Very happy with our Alta thus far.
The only downside would be the wheels after owning a vista and I would recommend the vista if you're going to be using the pram on rough terrain. If we could interchange the vista wheels on the alta it would perfect in so many ways!

Good lightweight pram
I was looking for a lightweight pram with a reversible seat good for inner city walking. The Uppababy Alta comes close (unfortunately my perfect pram doesn't exist I think).
Good points
-Light and easy push and steer
-Large basket
Not so good points
-Can be bumpy on the uneven pavements/ footpaths where I walk
-Bulky fold

Great pram but it doesn't take the knocks!
Great value for money. Very manoeuvrable and easy to handle in tight situations. Folds down easy enough and light enough that a smaller mum can get it into/out of the boot.
The negatives- the wheels have started to wear out on the back with consistent use, and the metal frame starts to look scratched with all of the folding/unfolding, getting out into/out of the boot. We use the pram almost everyday and it doesn't handle the daily grind as well as expected from a higher-end $$$ pram.
The biggest negative for me is that when you have baby on your hip, it is almost impossible to unfold with one hand. This should be a must for prams and something I wish I'd known to test for when shopping for baby no.1.

For the Mum who wants it all... The research paid off!!!! Awesome pram :)
I did a huge amount of research before settling on the Alta... My main goals were to have a pram that was compact, light, easy to maneuver, sturdy, front & rear facing chair, capsule friendly, bassinet friendly, large hood, and had a large basket. Basically, I wanted everything.
The Alta delivers on all of this!
That BASKET is AMAZING! I regularly walk to the supermarket and come home with 3 weeks worth of groceries (usually when I've gone in for one thing... you know the deal!). I'll have the basket full, a nappy bag hanging and extra b...
Read moreags hanging off the handle. I've been doing this regularly for over 2.5 years and the pram is still going strong!!!! Seriously, I've put this pram through hell, and it handles it like a champ. I keep the pram unfolded and ready to go next to my front door (I have another super lightweight pram I keep in the car), so I haven't folded/unfolded as much as I would assume most would, but when I have had to I find it easy to fold. Unfolding is a bit awkward with the lock on the side, but makes sense. The only issue I have ever had with it is the brake - sometimes is push the pedal to turn it off and it doesn't seem to work - I push it again and jiggle and it works itself out. I hasn't bothered me greatly. Highly recommend the bassinet too - it's large and so sturdy :) An all round winner in my opinion!!! Get on it people :)- 3 reviews

excellent pram, look pretty, easy to use and reliable
bought it for my first baby, i got a red color, it look brilliant :)
Easy to maneuver, turns smoothly. it's a very reliable built. it's easy to fold and light weight, you definitely won't want a big heavy pram to lift onto the car several times a day.
only down side is the UV shade is a bit small, especially when baby is at a lying down position, i had to buy a extra shade for bub
Dissappointed
Purchased an uppababy alta for my second baby as it had all the features I wanted and was lightweight but find the pram so awkward to handle. The handle is too high, the chassis scratches so easily making it look worn, the basket is big but hard to get the baby bag in and out of due to bucket seat, the basket branding ( I bought jake carbon/black) is white and a totally different colour to the pram branding making it look cheap ( I couldn't see as they didn't have a black on display in store), the cover is flimsy and needs to be pulled firmly t...
Read moreo stay open, the fold mechanism is fiddly, the clips to move the pram forward or back facing are too small and also fiddly to move, the pram only folds in one specific position (in line with frame). My 3 month old has hip displacia and the seat is so awkward he can't sit in it. I am so dissappointed because as a second time Mum I knew what I was looking for and thought I'd matched it but was very wrong and regret buying. I paid almost $1000 for this and it has not been worth it and I'm frustrated every time I take it out. I also forgot the windows/air vent are in the wrong position for peeking on a sleeping child when napping in the pram, you end up looking at the back of babes head. I bought the Pram, car seat adapter, cup holder and snug seat.- 5 reviews

Brilliant first pram!
I decided to buy the uppababy alta after reading reviews and checking it out in store. I took my sister with me to inspect as she'd had kids and I wanted an opinion from someone who knew what they were talking about.
I needed a small size pram, because a) our main car is a Renault Clio and it needed to fit in the boot - which it does with plenty of room on the sides for groceries. And b) I hate people who have unnecessarily big prams at the shops and didn't want to be that person.
After buying it about 4 other friends and family have said the...

Beware for wheel problem and poor customer service
Beware of wheel problem and poor customer service, in general the pram is well design however there is seem design flaw in the rear wheel, after 2 wheel and 1 frame replacement, customer service refused to either refund or upgrade the pram [with paid the difference] to vista (since we noticed ALL alta display in store have this problem not vista nor other brand even if they have smaller wheel) stating that they will not do anything else, since they dont believe there is nothing wrong with the pram, luckily when we get the second new wheel and...
Read more frame we tested in store and straight away complaints nothing change, and store agree the problem is not solve, the store which is baby Kingdom, agree to upgrade to vista and we paid the difference out, the store clearly lost money on this replacement which I believe suppose to be uppababy responsibility. Thanks for Baby Kingdom for sticking with their customers, and shame for uppababy not to stick with their products. Do yourself a favour and check uppababy alta in store for wobble, compare it with other brands. Or stay away from uppababy, since they will not help you if you not happy with their pram.- 4 reviews

Excellent pram
Love this pram. Very well constructed, good quality. one of the lightest prams on the market, super easy to manoeuvre. Simple to collapse and fold out again. The basket below is huge, can fit an amazing amount of groceries in there. One thing to consider - if you plan on taking your baby for walks in the park or anything off-road, consider something else. If you're more of a shopping mall type of parent, its perfect, as the wheels aren't very big and bub can feel the bumps quite easily.

I'm still very happy with my choice
Thanks for people that shared their reviews on here so I made the right choice. I don't usually walk on streets with bub, mostly in the shopping centre. I have to admit that it could be bumpy when you walk on grass or rocky road. In consideration of small wheels, I think it's one of the downsides, not steady enough. Other than that, I feel nothing negative about it. I love its extra large basket, and its height. ( my SIL has a bugaboo bee, it's a bit too short)
It also has 5 recline position, and front/rear facing, and it folds easily. I ha...
Read moreven't experienced any faulty issue so far as I've just used it for 8 months, hopefully it will never go wrong. We paid $999.95 for the set, including bassinet. But I think the bassinet it could be useless, when bub is little, you don't want to wake them up by transferring them from car seat to bassinet. I wished I get the capsule instead of the bassinet.- 9 reviews

Do yourself a favour
Not a lot I can really say here apart from buy this pram. While it has a higher cost than most (although not as high as many other more famous brands), it's an investment you will not regret.
Everything positive that other reviewers have noted reflects our experience, and I can't say we've suffered any of the negatives like wheel or finger jams. We live inner-city Melbourne and there are a lot of bluestone cobbles - they can be bumpy sometimes, but that's the case when I'm driving on them too, so I don't feel that it's the prams fault!

Sick of the wheel issues
We were very happy with this pram for about the first 6 months or so. Since then we've had ongoing issues with the wheels locking up on particular surfaces (mainly in shopping centres). We've had the frame replaced yet the issue is still happening.
Pros
-very light
-easy to fold
-narrow so fits through doorways/shop aisles more easily than other prams
-forward and rear facing
-huge basket
-adjustable height of handle

Constant rear wheel problems
After a couple of weeks of use we noticed the pram was vibrating even on extremely smooth surfaces and it started making a clicking noise. Uppababy sent a replacement frame but that didn't change anything so they sent replacement wheels. It didn't seem to be any different but I was told to "wear the wheels in". After a few weeks the vibration was so bad I couldn't take bub in it any more. Another frame was sent (even though I told them it was the rear wheels). I sent a video showing how warped the rear wheels were and they sent another set of w...

About to submit second claim for being faulty
Have used this pram for 15 months. After 6 months, had to get the entire frame replaced as it was squeaking and wasn't repairable. A completely new frame was provided, and the same problem has happened in recent months. I only use the pram 2-times a week these days, always on paved paths near my house or at the beach or at shopping centres. I really want to love this pram as it has so many good features but it appears something is not right in the construction which makes me question the value you get for the price. This is also a problem as I have to travel and hour to get to the nearest uppababy dealer.

Its still a big pram
Bought this as i was looking for a smallish pram. Its not small at all, and takes up most of the boot space in our medium SUV. Easy to fold but not that easy to carry, have jammed my fingers a couple of times. The buggy is terrible on cobblestones, and quite a rough ride if not on a sealed surface. Its definitely well built but doesnt suit city living ie. walking to the shops in an old establish inner city suburb where youre constantly popping a mono to avoid the front wheels jamming and the baby flying out. There is a provision to lock the front wheels but then maneuverability is compromised.
Everything we needed.
This pram ticked as many of the boxes that we had:
- Large storage basket
- < 11kg
- Reversible seat
- Large sunshade
- it couldn't be the size of a small hatchback that some prams seem to be these days.
We purchased this pram for our newborn and have had it for 6 months now. We opted for the infant snug-seat to go with it rather than the bassinet option and didn't regret this option - bub didn't want to lie down after a month anyway so it wouldn't have been of much use. Bub slept ok in the fully reclined position, though it should ...
Read morebe pointed out that it's not complete lie-flat, the little legs are still propped up in the seat a bit. I have taken this pram jogging with no problems, though that was on a bitumen running track (Centennial Park) with no joins or uneven pavement cracks etc. It's not designed for jogging and it's advertised as such, but on a smooth path it's great - lock the front wheels if this is something you want to do.Extra Information
