Had been feeding him Royal Canin for a while, but couldnt afford it last week so husband got the chunkers lamb for him to have. He eats it and seems to like it, but after the first day he started scratching like crazy and by day 3, today, ive realised its this dog food. Fur literally everywhere! He seems to get like this with anything from the supermarkets though. Just my luck to fall for a pooch who can only eat a high end product! Just because one likes the taste of something, doesnt necessarily mean one should eat it..sigh, off to royal canin i go.... will def not be buying cheap food for him ever again.

thanks, i didn't really notice any ingredient that jumped out at me as bad, i do wonder what the preservative is though.
My dog loves these, he is a Maltese, and loves both flavours, I put them in the freezer and pull out what I need, it is always fresh then. I put in the microwave to give it too him warm, or crunch a little in the oven.

My 2 dogs love these treats, unfortunately I can’t find a supermarket that stocks them anymore.
I need to feed my dogs’ addictions, where in NSW can I get them?
They also love the lamb and chicken chunkers, which I can still get.
Great products, love that they’re Aussie made and produced.

Every bag I’ve had have been fresh, my 3 dogs, (1 adult & 2x almost adult), all love this product & have them for breakfast every morning.
Must be kept chilled & helps to stay fresh if the zip on the bag is closed properly.
I’ve never had a bad bag or had a bag go off half used - I always use the full bag right to the bottom.

Perfect they never go off when closed properly
It’s the only thing I can get my pug to eat and they are always the right colour and they do not make dogs sick they are probably already sick and quick to blame this product.
If the bag is closed properly with the zip lock it cannot go bad and I roll it over as well. Some of the reviews are a bit over the top and I would only listen to the good reviews as some people like to mess around with reviews.
Opened a fresh bag to find slugs and don’t know if there was more as I threw it out!

My dog loves these! She eats them with her kibble every night. I think the problems other people might be having is the size of the portion. If we give her too many or forget to also give her kibble her poos do become soft. She has never been sick from them though.
We will continue to buy the chicken ones for a long time.
Both dogs got very sick, ended in hospital. Vomit, diarrhea & lost appetite in food & also refuse to drink - had to be on drip!!!

I switched my both my english mastiff and toy poodle to this brand food recently. I serve it mixed with dry food and both dogs love it. Since being fed this all stomach upsets have disappeared.
I have tried every 'premium food' but this is the only food he will eat. No problems with it going off - I make sure that I seal the packet

Its says on the packet that 1.5 of the net weight is "salt" so i work that out as 15 grams in 1 kg. My dog eats this meal and less than a hour later he is drinking water like hes eaten a bowl of chili peppers. Somethings not right with this dog food. The following day i give him natures gift sausage and hes a few licks at his water after eating.

Bought this for a very fussy Jack Russell puppy, she loved it at first but went off it when we bought the second pack. Unfortunately the packet was no good after 3 days. The chicken balls were off, so we decided to give the rest to our older 12 yr old dog to eat. He does eat anything, and enjoyed it.
That was the main problem for us- the product wasn't fresh enough once opened, after 3 days.

I have purchase the Lamb Chunkers a few time from different supermarkets as my two maltese dogs love them, however each time they have only lasted a day in the fridge before they go off.
The last time I fed them to my dogs I didn't realise they were off, might have been just on the turn, & both my dogs were vomiting the next day.
What a waste of money having to throw away almost a whole bag each time, very poor quality assurance from V.I.P.
I have been feeding my dog the lamb for 4 nights and he is very sick and his skin is itchy and red the poor thing has not stopped scratching all day and I decided to look up clunkers lamb and realised my gut feeling is write.. I bought this at Woolworths. I will never bye this product again.. He is still scratching and has no fleas has never behaved like this before. I looked to see what the ingredients was and very little on packet. not much.
No dramas feeding mine this product find it much better than the rolls .. happy pups and I mix with good biscuits
No rotten pks or such
I find the reviews on here interesting, because there are so many bad ones. My little dog (Pug X something) things it's wonderful! He can't get it down quick enough and I've never seen him sick in any way from it.
Anyway, I searched your product online to find out the variants and came across this site with the poor reviews. I haven't thought to weigh the packet but will in future just in case and will let you know if it falls short.
Hopefully our dog will continue to love it because we'll be buying more of it.
I have two small dogs ( Maltese and schnitzel) . We have been using the chicken chunkers for the past few months and have noticed the babies bowels are great after changing from a previous wet food. They love their food. They won't even touch half of the other tin food such as Pal and my dog . A very happy customer. Keen to see what other products that may be released
After the first day the meat went grey. My dog was sick, took the packet back and got another packet, it went grey after another day. Had it in a very cold fridge, did not give it to my dog, will not buy it again. It was Chunkers lamb and the use buy date had 3 weeks still on the packet.

We bought Chunkers chicken balls for our dog as a treat. After the first meal the diarrhea was so bad, and so fast, that we had to throw out a lounge room rug. Then again last night she had diarrhea, was incredibly sick with it and my husband had to stay up in the case he needed the emergency vet. How dare VIP keep this product on the market knowing that it is doing this to family pets! The reviews on here certainly not flattering, and food poisoning in a dog is not a matter to be taken lightly.

This product WAS great and my old dogs ate it, until I bought another couple of bags and the food smelled off (not fresh). This dog food could/should have been a wonderful alternative to dry food for older dogs with sensitive teeth etc.. Such a shame! The cost of this dog food and also wasting space in the supermarkets fridge meat dept. is ridiculous. Unhappy Customer to say the least.

Cheating customers with less weight than advertised on the product
I have purchased your Lamb with vegetables product from a local IGA in Perth, WA and even though my gods liked it, I will never get it again! As I have one smaller god I had to weigh their portions..
Well, the bag of 1KG contained 730gr of food!! What happened to the rest of it!?!?!
I should be able to expect quality and QUANTITY in products that I buy from VIP. It appears that VIP's quality control leaves a lot to be desired. From the reviews I have read on Australian websites, it appears that VIP has a major problem with the freshness and quality of their product.
Shame on you VIP!!!

These meatballs poisoned my dog. After 2 days of eating these she became to hemorrhage and vomit huge blood piles and her bowel movements were nothing but bloody liquid. After spending over $1,000 at the vet she is doing ok, but not 100%. I am not a happy person because had we not rushed her to the vet they said she would have died.
I purchased chicken flavour at woolies, when I opened the packet the odour was so bad that it spread through the house, I'm reading all these reviews and nothing has been done to solve this issue. Clearly something is not right, the used by date still had 1 month to go, I'm not happy. This product could do damage to my dog, please do something rather than replying with same comments not acceptable.
thankyou for your feedback I will pass on to our quality Assurance team for investigstion

Toy poodle ate once then would rather starve than eat again she was not herself after the first lot retreating to her bed suspect she didn't feel too good as usually very active. I noticed they hade a not nice smell when I tried to feed her the next day ? Gone off? In refrigerator 10 mins after purchase. Tossed them out waste of money gone back to making my own would not recommend . Daughter said later her dogs had same experience and she noticed an off smell wish she had told me before I wasted my money and put poor little dog thru the trauma.
