WE SWITCHED from tin food and biscuits as he didnt care for either and most was wasted. The dog also had yeast symptoms. The change to chunkers resolved all symptoms.

Getting dog accustomed to a diet of wet, soft food before major dental work, lamb Chunkers were gradually included into the dog's food over a week or so.
Dog finds them very palatable, easy to eat and has experienced no negative reactions.
Ongoing appeal would be high if the price were lower, but am pleased to have found this product as it is perfect for present needs.
Purchased in January 2021 at Coles Online for $4.25.

My dog has been throwing up since my Roomate fed her these. Checked the bag after reading the reviews and same thing. Moldy and had only just been purchased. Avoid at all costs

I bought the lamb flavour to my dog and she felt sick soon after eating and would not eat it again.
When I checked the package, the food was already mouldy! The package was just opened the day before and was properly stored in the fridge and within the expiry date.
Purchased at Coles.

I have bought my little mate this food, but no more,it has a short life it goes off to quick, even when its in the fridge,it goes all sticky and smells like vinegar its shelf life isn't long,so always smell this before you give it to your best mate,I was contacted by the distributors for chunkers, life span is three days, so best suggestion is freeze them and put them in single zip freezer bags in portions, and use them, when needed, but don't refreeze them, try this and then give us feed back hope this helps i will change my ratings when I try this
Purchased in July 2020 for $5.

To be honest, retrievers will eat just about anything, but our old boy has a very sensitive stomach.
He can nolonger handle bones or fresh chicken legs, so we feed a mix of chunkers and decent quality biscuits. He does very well on it. Any attempt to change the meat component creates flatulence and diarrhoea.
The product will go off, as any meat product should unless it is loaded with nitrates and preservatives. But we just make sure that when we stock up, we keep it well chilled and it is fine. If owners are consistently getting spoilt...

Opened a new packet of lamb chunkers today 13 Feb 20, well before expiry date which were riddled with white mould. This is not the first time this has happened. After this experience we will not purchase again.

Very dissapointed. I purchase Chunkers Chicken/ lamb and another competitor's brand weekly and store in the same fridge. To my regret by the 3rd day it is off well before expiry date. There are times it smells off from the time of opening with a visible fungal/bacterial type growth.
On many occasions I have opened and could not serve & had to discard. Whilst the other competitor's brand preferred by my other dogs lasts to the end (about 4-5 days) with no issue stored in the same fridge. I believe this product has caused my dog to have severe ...

Small vomit after first handful of lamb chunkers.
Wouldnt eat it when next offered.
Tried the chicken chunkers - dog turned away - very unusual for our beagle who is a chicken-a-holic and very good oreiented usually inhales all offered.
Had a weird unnatural smell when opening both packets.
very disappointed.

My Rotski is a real fussy eater and its very hard to get here to eat anything new, but she took to both flavours of these immediately and hasn't looked back, no ill effects at all.

Hi Mark, Thanks for the great review. Great to hear your fussy girl enjoys both flavours!

Had been feeding him Royal Canin for a while, but couldnt afford it last week so husband got the chunkers lamb for him to have. He eats it and seems to like it, but after the first day he started scratching like crazy and by day 3, today, ive realised its this dog food. Fur literally everywhere! He seems to get like this with anything from the supermarkets though. Just my luck to fall for a pooch who can only eat a high end product! Just because one likes the taste of something, doesnt necessarily mean one should eat it..sigh, off to royal canin i go.... will def not be buying cheap food for him ever again.

My dog loves these, he is a Maltese, and loves both flavours, I put them in the freezer and pull out what I need, it is always fresh then. I put in the microwave to give it too him warm, or crunch a little in the oven.
Purchased in June 2022 at Coles.
Opened a fresh bag to find slugs and don’t know if there was more as I threw it out!
Both dogs got very sick, ended in hospital. Vomit, diarrhea & lost appetite in food & also refuse to drink - had to be on drip!!!
Questions & Answers
Why does this dog food contain garlic, when garlic is toxic for dogs?
Hi Caroline,
Garlic has been used for many years for medicinal purposes to help boost the liver and cardiovascular system. As it has immune boosting properties, it can also aid in inhibiting bacteria and fungi growth.
We can assure you that we include only a very small, controlled amount of garlic our products, at levels far below the doses that studies have shown to be dangerous to dogs.
We hope this information helps! If you have any further questions or concerns, we can be reached on 1800 732 573 (option 1) Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm AEST.
