About 7/10.
Great suction power, very noisy but! I find the filter in the wheel falls out quite often which is pain!
All in all good vacuum cleaner for the price. It's a bit noisy and lots of bit to take apart to clean like the filters. I wish the cord was longer. It tips over easily.

Little ripper!
I bought this on recommendations here and am not disappointed.
Having a dog in the house means I sweep tiles daily, but vacuum the carpeted areas weekly.
You would not believe the amount of dust, fluff and hair this cleaner sucked up, that my 30 year old other one obviously misses.
It's light to drag around and as I use an extension cord, (large house) the length doesn't matter.
Yes, it's noisier than the old one, but I'll get used to that.
Very happy and would recommend it wholeheartedly!

Sound like having a fighter jet engine around house
1- Too much noise
2- short cable, need to plug in and plug out several times. Perhaps designed for small units and not for houses.
3- Short handle, not the right ergonomic for human use, perhaps designed for midgets!
4- Did I say noisy? Very very noisy!
5- Also bought too expensive from Harvey Norman castle hill,,,, way above the price shown here.
extremely unhappy with the product.

Love it
This vacuum cleaner is so easy to move around and get underneath the furniture and it vacuums the floor very well wood all vinyl or carpet. I also take this outside to use it in my car as it's got the small hand tool to get underneath the seats and the front & back of the floor.

Great vacuum
Crazy amount of suction on the vacuum, rarely have it on full - has been great for removing Pet Hair. Really good value for the price. Only complaint is that the handle can be a little short if you are taller - the hose also seems to not be the most flexible.

Compact. Works great!
Love this vacuum, compact and lightweight so very easy to get around with. I use it in a 3 bedroom house on hard wood floors, lino, tiles and 2 large rugs.
Suction is fantastic! Used on my rugs which were covered in pet hair and they came up trumps. Haven't used the attachments yet but just the standard fitting is excellent and was good enough to remove pet hair. Very impressed and extremely happy with this product. Would certainly recommend. A+++

Lightweight Vacuum cleaner
Purchase a VAX Power 5 Pet 2000w bagless to use in our new Caravan. The suction of the vacuum is good, however the hose is too stiff, it's not a soft flexible hose as some cleaners are. The floor head works great, however the brush head doesn't do anything for me as the swivel part on the brush head keeps spinning around, it will not stay in the setting as you want to get into tigh spots.

Lightweight, compact and efficient
We’ve owned this vac for one year and it has served us well during this time, performing efficiently without ever breaking down. We have a small two-bedroom apartment, but with an indoor cat, it gets dusty and dirty with cat hair everywhere. We don’t have wall-to-wall carpets, just various sized rugs scattered through the apartment, so we use this machine on all sorts of surfaces and to clean our sofa as well. On average we do a full clean fortnightly.
PROS
- Smooth and efficient operation leaving our apartment clean every time
- Lightwe...Read more

It sucks, and does so quite well
Works well on all our internal floors, whether they be carpet, tiles or floor boards, easily picking up all the dust and dirt. No issues with blockages as yet, apart from the time a piece of paper got in and sat over the filter. A quick pop of the top to get it out and all was good again.

Blocks up quickly, noisy, attachments flimsy, terrible!
I bought this 2 months ago and it is nowhere near as good as my last vax cleaner (which my toddler broke). The HEPA filter located on the wheel keeps popping off due to the pressure of the air and the entrance to the dust chamber blocks with dust and hair as it is so small. The dirt seems to collect around this hole and does not move which stops the vacuum from collecting anymore dirt meaning I have to empty it every 5 minutes! extremely noisy and so light that it topples over frequently. Attachments are flimsy, the turbo head doesn't even work...Read more
(unlike last vax turbo head). Bought from Harvey's and tried to return as it is not doing what it is supposed to be doing but they're not interested in helping so next step is to contact vax direct and see what they can do. Terrible vacuum!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Does the job
Very quiet. Good for our hard floors. Light and easy to store and manoeuvre. I purchased it because our cheaper brand vacuum gave up the ghost and the guy at Good Guys said it was probably the best in its price range. He seemed to know what he was talking about.

In two words: Golfball, Straw.
Marvellous on both carpet and hard floors. AMAZING value for the price ($149 @ local Harvey Norman in FNQ). Like a Hilux ute, it could pull your mother-in-law away from a buffet!
Late mail: It worked like a champion, for about 6 months, then with a puff of smoke it went "Bang!" and went to Vacuum Cleaner Heaven. Seems to be an occupational hazard for these bagless cleaners. Harvey Norman did the right thing by me, though, without fuss.

Fantastic Cleaner!!
I purchased a VAX Power5 Pet vacuum cleaner after seeing it on a Harveymorman catalogue. we were on the hunt for a new cleaner. I don't have pets inside. it's just me and my husband. we've not long renovated (carpet only 8 months old) but the first time I used this machine over my floors WOW! it made the carpet look like its just been laid! and the amount of DIRT & HAIR!! I was shocked by just how much was on/in the new carpet. we are very tidy people. I vacuum frequently but this VAX I was completely impressed I plan to buy another one for my ...Read more
mothers birthday as she has 2 cats and a dog inside. I'd highly recommend this machine! I previously used a Hoover Harmony; which I have kept to use of our hard floors. the only let down to the power5 pet is I didn't find it appropriate for our floating timber floor. it did scratch it on the hard floor setting but that's why I have kept the Hoover. the pro far out weighs the con! it's obviously designed for carpet and does a fantastic job!! cleans thoroughly not suitable for hard floorsSimilar opinion? My Vacuum gets warm from where the Antibacterial HEPA media post-motor filter when using it, it blows hot air, i cleaned all filters, what else would it be
1 answer
I clean both the canister filter and the one behind the wheel. Check that there's no blockage in the hose. Some hot air can be expected if the vacuum is used continuously over 20 mins.

Update - about 6 months in and vacuum gets so hot at filter it's literally melted plastic on the inner side of wheel. Motor automatically cut off from over heating.
, fuss free. Taking it to a nearby service centre to be looked at/ repaired next week under warranty. Still, can't wait to get it up and running again! Until today I've been very impressed. Great for pet hair!Thankfully called the vax helpline... Read more
