Poor customer service
Received my card a few days ago, didnt receive a PIN.
Rang customer support, got strangely disconnnected after being on the phone for about 2 minutes.
Rang thru again, got told i was in the wrong department and was going to get transferred to the correct department, but they just sent me back to the main automated message.
after 15 mins of wasting my time i gave up.
These guys really need to step up their customer service if they want to compete with other similar products.

Don't risk using this card!
Don't risk using this card! Complete lack of client service.
In early December 2016 I transferred $6,000 by bank transfer to my card which was rejected. It was not returned to my Westpac account.
After many calls I was finally told that Global Wallet had just imposed a maximum annual dollar load limit.
I had not been notified of this.
As I was a big user of the card apparently I was over this new limit, so my $6,000 was rejected. It did not get returned to my Westpac account.
They have never returned a single call after numerous promises to call me back.
According to my bank, Westpac, they didn't respond to numerous requests for return of the funds.

A good way to get Velocity points
This is a travel card that's incorporated into the Velocity Frequent Flyer membership card. It requires activation before use as a travel card, which I found relatively straightforward. It needs to be loaded with funds, which can be done without fees by overnight bank transfer. If transfer done before close of business, I've found that my funds are available first thing the next morning. The main benefit is that Velocity points are earned on the expenditure. The drawbacks include no interest earned on balance, and poor foreign exchange rat...Read more
es (do check the rates before changing AUD into any foreign currencies). And in my experience, travel cards are not always accepted for payment overseas or even in Australia for some security deposits e.g. some car rentals. However, I've had no problems with using it so far in Australia, and since I don't want to get a credit card, this is a good points-earning alternative to a bank debit card. I haven't yet had to contact their customer support centre, so can't yet comment on how effective that is.

My fault, I mistakenly transferred over the limit and now my $2000 is in limbo. Transferred through BPay.
How long should I expect to get the money back as apparently global wallet won't accept the transaction.

I would give up. Honestly, it is more trouble than its worth. I did it because my partner went to the UK, we could also earn extra points, but all it did was cause hassles. Then they blocked the card for no reason, leaving my partner unable to use the card. By all means, keep trying, but I would give up now.
