I bought this TV for my parents about a month ago. The picture quality is good but not great. My father only uses it to watch the news. Says it's easy to use and works fine for him. Not a bad choice for the price.
Purchased in at Big W for $449.

At first this tv was a pain and the issue with having 2 replacements was that the second one was defective out of the box... this happened years ago (possibly around 2014) and since then the one I have now is still kicking butt! Somehow still working perfectly fine after 4 odd years. It’s got a bit of rust in the ports but they still manage. This tv initially started its life for outdoor use but a big concern was that there are 3 mosquitos dead beneath the desplay close to the centre of the screen which was something I have never seen before fr...
Read moreom past tvs. After a year of owning it, it was moved to my room inside which I then used for gaming purposes. It still sits in the same spot 3 years later and there are very little to complain about. Obviously isn’t the most vibrant TV out there but gets the job done. There is no noticeable input lag so that isn’t a problem either. My other concern was that, since it is so old, is that USB movies are mostly unsupported and is very limited. It’s a very basic tv and I never knew which tv i owned (my parents bought it) until I stumbled across this page :) it’s currently coming to the end of its life as a new LG 55UK6540PTD will be taking its place. Gotta say, not a bad tv when it works as it should.- Date Purchased

I have had this tele for about 12 mths now. The picture is very good. The sound quality is very poor, we can't seem to find an in between, It is too loud or not loud enough but paying only $400 for this size tele you could probably connect a cheap sound bar to combat this problem. I could not connect my older surround sound unit to this though I may be out of date.

I originally had this in the study but the wife made me put it in the spare room. Its a good second set - I wouldn't recommend it as your main TV though. Picture quality is good but not outstanding. If the movie has a lot of shadows and dark moments then things get a bit unclear. Sound too is average. Its listenable but a bit thin. Remote works well although changing channels is low at the start. Its a good second TV.

This TV was quite cheap and really surprised us with the quality as it was only meant for the bedroom. Actually I think I watch it more than the lounge room TV.
Design is really nice. Remote is easy to use although can be a but slow to change sometimes. The sound quality is OK too, not the best ever, but not annoying like some cheaper TVs can be.
The screen is better than expected, maybe the separation of the black and shadows isn't as good as the top of the line models but its really not too bad.
For the price this is a good choice,

Good as tv sets go-colour,sound etc good, price on special fantastic but it did not (could not ) do
Picture quality very good even with indoor antenna. Sound is good (adjustable) Adequate ports & connections - the headphone socket is a bonus - all work very...
Read more well. Unit is not a smart tv. Perhaps in hindsight I should have spent more dollars to get the feature I wanted or quizzed the salesperson as to what it does actually.- Date Purchased

Satisfactory picture, tinny but good enough sound, enough ports, usb playback (most compression formats work and you learn which file types not to download quickly, haven't tried the dvd player. Remote plasticy but usable. Menus easy enough to navigate. TV guide function hopeless and hard to get to. Overall satisfied for the money paid ($199 from BigW)

Screen goes black could hear sound but now nothing. Not sure if repairable or cheaper to dump.
I am really disappointed as I rely heavily on my TV for entertainment given I am bedridden. What does one do it is quite a dilemma.
Great picture, no problems at all, only one "white pixel" but don't notice it when watching tv. Only downside is that the usb socket is in a hard to reach place if you have it flat wall mounted, Researched it before buying and similar sized TVs were hundreds more and the same reliability, if this lasts me a couple more years I will be very happy. Got it over 7 months ago.
