What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??

Hi Alexia,

Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.

Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.

Please let us know if you have any further questions here.

Kind regards,
VCB Customer Experience Team.

Hi victory, do you deal with Norman shutters or Normandy shutters ? Are this type of shutters are better than the rest & suitable for wet area & sunny area ? Thank you

Hi Nat,
Yes, Victory supply a range of shutters including Normandy and the Kleen range.
In our range there are 3 key timber types including Paulownia, Pheonixwood and Basswood.
The quality is similar with Paulownia wood becoming more popular as the sustainable Eco choice.
When it comes to wet areas the only choice is PVC and you can't tell them apart from the painted timber shutters.
PVC is high quality and impervious to the effects of humidity and wet areas such as bathrooms.
A Victory Décor Consultant can explain and show the variations in all types of shutters including PVC.

Hi victory,
Can I know what type of wood the company use for wooden plantation shutters? Thank you & is the type suitable for wet areas as bathrooms

Hi Nat,

We have several types of wood available including Bass Wood and Eco friendly Paulownia plantation hardwood. However, there are not suitable for wet areas such as bathrooms.
In wet areas the best product is PVC. PVC is reinforced and impervious to humid wet areas. It also looks and feels like wood and almost impossible to tell the difference when next to a wooden plantation shutter. We trust this answer helps you and look forward to an opportunity to providing a free consultation where a Décor Consultant can show you samples.

Have recently had 2 outdoor window awnings installed but not sure of their "quality" or if they are just faulty. They seem to be made from a "shade cloth" type material, which is what I wanted however there is "fraying" on the sides of the blinds (not sealed or sewn) and one has the hole for hook pull down not centred which I've always had with every outdoor blind before (told damage can be done to blind if "pulled" on either side, should be pulled down in centre). Is this standard or has there definitely been a problem with my order plus who do I need to contact? Have used Victory before with no problems but really not happy with service and product this time around but unsure who I need to get in contact for complaints and/or replacement as my previous experience for this order with office staff hasn't been good at all.

Hi There,

Thanks for getting in touch and letting us know about your concerns - it that sounds like we might need to have a chat to help figure this out with you. We can't see your name on here which means we can't bring up your order, so it might be easier to contact us when you have a moment. It's best to call Victory Blinds Head Office on Ph: 03 8793 5700 (then dial '0' to talk to reception, and they'll direct your call). I've spoken to Sue in reception to let her know you'll be in touch.

Thanks again for letting us know, we hope to hear from you soon to resolve your concerns.

Best regards, Ed Jones on behalf of the Victory Team
