Great if you want a paper weight, take maps you will need them don’t waste your money if the system can find your map it will normally freeze up and that’s if you can get past the start up screen

Went to vic high country. Got lost/missed turn offs. Had to manually select maps, when one section finished, or it flicked to Gregory version which didn't show most tracks. Destination is in a straight line, useless. Waypoint setting ok, but it had difficulties keeping the breadcrumbs track logging. Wouldn't turn on every time. Save your money and get a hema to go with their great paper maps.

Although the GPS navigation worked perfectly fine on-road while it was within Telstra network data zones, it failed to locate my position and load the map when I went outside network data zones. The whole point of buying these units is so that you could locate your position in remote areas offroad and it didn't even do that! Complete waste of money and my time, I'm glad 4wd Supacentre gave me credit back on this product because contacting VMS directly proved to be another waste of my time. Save yourself some headache and steer well clear of this product

Bought approx 2 years ago send back as it did not work received back with new card still does not work
not reliable enough to go bush 2 years never use once how about a refund

First one died. Second one sent to me didn't work either. The unit sent back was second hand. These units seem to have a bug in them. Very disappointed with it.

Total waste of money kids bought it for my 70th birthday has never worked in 4x4 track mode. Keeps telling me to insert SD card is only 15 months old. How can you sell such a load of rubbish.

The unit has had 3 replacement cards in it. Each time VMS tell me it is fixed. Still has errors. The map information is rubbish, gets lost all the time. Totally unreliable, better off using goggle maps. Very dissapointed, if my wife had her way it would have been out the window ages ago.

Occasionally freezes up, unknown error, not even 12 months old comes up with SD card not inserted, total waste of $ 269.00 ! Emailed VMS in Melbourne was quizzed 101 questions did I do this did do that, is it charging properly ? Then had to fill out a short story on its doing / not doing . Save ya money folks

Worked ok for a while than just started to play up it is just not worth the problem do your self a favour and don’t purchase
I have bought many items from supacentre and have been good for the money this item needs to be upgraded and they are very slow in returning money

Had the unit for over 12 months no issues for the first few months went on holidays interstate that's when the unit went stupid kept going into error mode and dropping out contacted VMS told them the issue and they replaced the SD card immediately only issue now every now and then it loses signal purchased it from the 4WD Supacentre would not recommend buy a Hema

This GPS works fine on sealed roads. Had mine for 1 year. No good in the gulf as it doesn't recognise that you are on a main road. First time on corragations it had error code. It's now in the bin. If you want something for off-road leave this alone. Must be different mapping on the ones on tv shows cause mine had no idea once in the bush. Terrible product, you buy and you will be disappointed.

My VMS HD700x gps is now 12 months old. From new it worked well, with minor annoying features which I cannot find out how to change. However in the last 2 months the machine progressively developed software errors so it would not turn on, would not navigate or stopped navigating randomly. Annoyingly this became critical when I was holidaying away from home. Reviews from this site are BAD. I email VMS asking for help, expecting to start a Consumer Affairs war with them. To my surprise they were prompt to reply, helpful and rapidly posed a new sim card to me to fix the machine. SO annoyed by the fault, pleased with their service

In one word crap. To slow have to bash the screen to enter letters and numbers and freezes. Only had for two hours returned to Supacentre for refund hopefully they refund to my credit card.

Piece of crap. Using the vms is like going back in time, the technology is that old. Touch the screen and prepare to wait 2 minutes for it to load, or maybe it will just freeze. The mapping system is that poor you can't even zoom in without the screen going all pixelated. And don't even try return it to 4wd supacenter, they won't accept refunds on this item. If you buy it prepare to throw it out your window at highway speed.

Difficult to operate, frustrating time consuming software downloads to do simple updates and unidentified maps in the offroad section. Poor vision/image in bright light.

Waste of time and money.

Binned it and stuck to maps that made sense.

Maps not up to scratch. Off-road insufficient detail. Easy install. GPS ok. Constantly fails due to constant freezing and errors, usually at vital times. Would not recommend to anyone, get something else.

Absolutely garbage thing keeps freezing and saying that the sd card is not Installed don't waste your hard earn cash on this product go buy a Hema you will be better off.
crappiest product I have ever bought for my 4wd.

4 days ago i bought a vms from newcastle super center i started truck this morning did not turn on i went straight back to the super center and they simply said we can't help you ring vms direct well i did an they said it should be a refund from the super center being 4 days old so i went back to newcastle supercenter told them what vms said even asked them to ring vms they told me that it's not there problem they just sell the units for vms so i now have a 4 day old vms which does not power up no light indicator it's useless 4x4action on youtube must be paid actors because no one could be happy with 4x4 super centers and there's 100s of problems with all the vms gps over last couple of years
