Not working !!
I have neck and back pain yesterday. Applied Voltaren twice but still pain. Didn't make any impact. Switching to another anti inflammatory cream. Even Panadol worked better than the cream

May as well be moisturiser!
several GPs recommended Voltaren gel for arthritis (knee, neck, elbow, ankle), tendonitis (ankle & foot), ankle sprains, and other muscle pain. No formulation has worked for me. I apply it per instructions for 3 days in hopes of relief, then pass the tube onto a relative it actually works for. Applying moisturiser to the soles and sides of my feet provided more relief for the tendonitis! I'll stick with Goanna Rub and Arthro-Aid for chronic and acute aches and pains.
Purchased for $20.

its very Mild
I have had severe back ache and Voltaren was recommended. It's very mild and didn't work at all.
May be it was meant for mild injuries. At $20 price tag it was disappointing.

Works on only certain types of muscle injuries.
Had 2 types of tennis injuries. Voltaren worked on one, but didn't work on the other.
Hurt my muscles near my ribs, commonly known as intercostal injury from over swinging, Voltaren gel did nothing for it.
Then hurt muscles near elbow, aka tennis elbow. Voltaren gel gave me instant 100% relief but only for about 15 mins. Afterwards it's about 60% relief for 2hrs. Let's me sleep at least.
You just got to be lucky if it works for your type of injury.

Doesn't seem to do much.
I pulled a muscle in my upper right arm about two weeks ago. I started with Voltaren Emulgel almost immediately but didn't really notice much effect. It gives you a nice warm/cool glow which subsides in a few minutes but as for pain relief - very little. I was kind of disappointed as this stuff cost a small fotune. I bought it in the biggest tube possible as that was the cheapest per gram and I can tell you it will cost at least $3 per day to use this stuff. Personally, I don't really recommend it very highly, because I was expecting more for s...
Read moreuch a high price. A 150 gm tube cost $22 and it's been two weeks and I've used nearly $50 worth altogether. Not much bang for your buck. If I was going to do this again I would choose some sort of heat-treatment cream like Deep Heat or a capsacain cream and rely just on the heating effect for relief. You could just take Ibuprofen for the inflammation, or aspirin. Also, it's worth noting that this medication comes with two 'black box' warnings as it increases your risk of heart attack and stroke. So there's that...Purchased in February 2020 at Terry White Chemists for $22.

Have tried better
This works better on muscle pain or strain but that is it. Nice scent though and not like those that leave a strong scent behind either. Have tried better products of this nature.
