Stopped working pretty quickly
I bought this about 8 months ago and it already stopped working. I kinda expected it because of the low price, but I was still a bit disappointed. I took apart the shaver after trying many batteries and found the motor had corroded. I never got it too wet but perhaps more than I should. If using, be careful to keep it bone dry or it'll break quickly. Offers a good close shave though.

Great value for money
Gives a nicer and smoother trim than other trimmers that are worth more. I purchased mine about a year and a half ago but ended up buying another rechargeable one because I got tired of buying batteries.. While that more expensive rechargeable one gave a slightly closer shave it was always extremely rough and has now started pulling hair so I've gone back to using the beard buddy. I forgot how nice and smooth a trim could feel! It does chew through most normal batteries quite easily though.
I should also add that not long after I purchased t...
Read morehe beard buddy I noticed the movable shaving blade of mine was a bit off center. I contacted VS Sassoon and showed them this and they ended up sending out a new shaving head for me. Excellent customer service.Purchased in at Target Australia for $25.

Great beard trimmer for the price
This is a sturdy little trimmer that sits nicely in the hand. It uses 2x AAA batteries which is great as you can take it anywhere and don't need the charger. It shaves well with all attachments. Just to mention, the ear/nose attachment gets a bit hot after being on for about a minute, because of friction. Another cool thing is that you don't to oil the blades and can just rinse them after use.
The only frustration I had was with removing the shaving head to replace it with nose trimmer. That process is not clearly described in the user manual. So I made a quick video that shows how to change shaving head attachments.
Overall, this trimmer performs well at a very reasonable price.

Good basic product - let down by poor 'product instructions.'
Lower price range beard trimmer quite functional for the price. Supplied with 6 position comb guide, rotary trimming attachment for nose and ear hair, 2 AAA non-rechargeable batteries, and a booklet called Tool Tips.
The unit works well for light trimming and shaping. The comb guide in the shortest setting apparently maintains a stubble look. Use in this instance is using the trimming blade without the comb guide to shape a pointed circle beard/moustache. It's compact enough to handle and maneuver easily for accurate shaping.
The unit fits co...

Good for the price
Only had for a little while but it seems to do the job. The ability to change the length of the trim with one plastic guide thing is really good whereas with other razors you have lots of individual lengths guides which creates clutter. You're not going to get the same quality as you would with a $100 razor of course, but if you're on a budget it will work fine. I would recommend if you have a low price range. It uses disposable batteries instead of an inbuilt rechargable which could either be a positive or negative for you, for me I don't mind it. I don't have too much facial hair so it works fine for me. Can't say if it would struggle with thicker hair, but I think if you go slowly it works well.

Questions & Answers
I am unable to remove the trimmer to attach the rotary trimmer by following the instructions. Neither were the other reviewers so how do you remove the trimmer blade and replace it with the rotary trimmer.
For some reason your comment has been batted to me Jim, a previous reviewer, one of the 'couple of others' you refer to in your query. I still haven't figured out how to do it! It actually doesn't see...
Read morem possible. It may actually be a product fault or a false and misleading claim. Product Review asserts that brand reps monitor these comments and offer advice. Still waiting…may need to escalate this to ACCC…How do I attach the rotary nose trimmer please? There are very detailed instructions to attach the comb and that really does not need instructions - you can tell by looking at it, but for the rotary attachment it just says 'attach the rotary trimmer' but I can't work out how. Thanks. Gemma
