Good solid fridge, hope it lasts as long as its predeccessor
Our faithful Westinghouse Silhouette 390lt circa 1989 just died quietly, he just made a slight whine and poof gone.He must have known it was the long weekend, despite a few attempts to revive him he was gone to the white goods pasture in the sky.Good bye old friend !

n to try your service but its all about timing) . Took a punt on my local Bing Lee doing a deal, called up and was told yes we have that in stock, the delivery boys are keen to go, COD ! . Wow 45 mins later new fridge arrives, old one emptied and ceremoniously departs via the delivery guys.Waved off with a tear in my eye !. Got the bottom mount freezer and wasn't that a surprise, no more bending down to look into fridge.New fridge slightly taller as well, very cavernous. Got all my old fridge stuff into it (bar those chiko rolls with a Victorian expiry date !) and voila new icy cold beer. My son (2 year old) was asleep having his nap at the time when all this was happening, imagine his surprise walking into the kitchen and doing a double take !. Never Buy from Electrolux !
Westinghouse / Electrolux Fridge ($1000) didn't last even 4 years..... they sent the technician for $135 to come & confirm the fridge is dead. Though they were prepared to fix it and charge me $35.00 for every 15 mins labour, but they never confirmed how long it takes to fix the fridge : 15 mins, 3 hours or the whole day. They also offered as a "GOOD WILL GESTURE" a new (the same) fridge for the reduced amount of $861 (plus delivery) - original price $1629.00. "What a bargain!" t took me more than two weeks to realise there's nothing they can offer me apart from their dodgy alternatives. I see the whole thing as a joke. They position themselves as a serious brand but when it comes to situations like mine don't take any responsibilities. Extremely unreliable. Stay away from them.

Nice,but noisy
Purchased this fridge/freezer as the doors can be left side hinged.The unit itself is very practical for our needs,but is noisy during operation to the extent that one longs for it to come out of cycle.
Plenty of room in both fridge and freezer,easy to keep clean,nice layout inside and out.
I do find the fridge stops and starts a lot even with no use.
Practical,smart looking.

Spacious Fridge/Freezer
I bought this Fridge/Freezer at Harvey Norman in Ipswich.
After checking out various manufacturers and models, I decided to go with this brand as it had good reviews and seemed like a smart buy. I'm glad I bought this product as it isn't too noisy and it manages to fit quite a cavenous amount of food into it.
Bought it with an extended three-year warranty.

Great fridge, worth the money
I bought this in December 08, and now it's Nov 10. So far it has done its job without any problems. We experienced two power outages, but the fridge was not affected and it continues to work perfectly. It's not too noisy unless cooling down, and energy rating is good too. When i bought this 2 years ago, friends said it was expensive, but after two years, I am glad I have a reliable fridge. I know there's some luck involved in buying electronics, but I'm really happy with this product.

so I am going to improve the rating to 5. No problems whatsoever even though I had it in storage for a year as well. I think this model was made in Australia but some smaller Westinghouse fridges/freezers are made outside Australia and you can see that they don't look like the same high quality as the Australian made models. So far, very reliable. Vegetables stay fresh longer (using the veggie setting -more humidity in the veg compartment). Bottom freezer drawers are great.
