Has been looked at 4 times. Not fixed, same fault.
I've had enough of Westinghouse and won't be buying another. We've had this fridge from new and had issues since day 1. I've rung Westinghouse multiple times in the past and got really bad customer service and reoccurring issues..
Issues we've had
- Freezer does not hold temperature and icing up very easily.
- Control dock inside the fridge doesn't respond to touch half the time
- Freezer stopped freezing completely and beeps
- Can't turn off beeping as the control unit doesn't respond to 'hold the button for 10 seconds'
- Starts working again out of the blue.
- Fridge has frozen up previously ruining my medical supplies I have to keep in there
- Milk in the door of the fridge has spoiled although the fridge seems to be cool still....Read more

Could have been better
Had some electronics replaced under warranty which was ok. Had some issues with drawers and Ice trays braking. Now we are having issues with the alarm going off and we think there is an issue with a temperature sensor. Has some cracking at the bottom. Time for a replacement.
Purchased in August 2021.

Don't buy Westinghouse
So back in 2014 when our fridge died, we bought this fridge thinking It would be a good reliable fridge, it lasted just under a whole year before It completely died, leading up to this, temperature fluctuations were the normal, and I am talking 8 degrees and up, and the best the white goods mechanic they sent out could come up with was out fridge was set out wrong, not wanting to address the real problem which was the fact that the fridge was faulty, it died completely within 2 weeks, inconveniencing my partner and myself by spoiling everything...Read more
. So a replacement was organized immediately, and that has gone okay for just under 4 years and now it has trouble keeping at around 4 to 5 degrees and that is on max, we have contacted Electrolux and they have said that since it was nearly 4 years old, it was going to cost us 159 dollars just for someone to come look at it PLUS PARTS. What a ripoff, they are not even willing to stand by their product for not even 4 years.... a fridge should last longer than that! Especially coming from a 'trusted' brand! rubbish product and rubbish customer care(no care) will be taking my money elsewhere from now on. BEWARE!!
Purchased in June 2021 at The Good Guys for $970.00.

Bad fridge and bad customer service
Approximately 6 years ago I bought a Westinghouse WBM4300WB.
I paid over $1000 for the fridge.
From when it was new it has not kept the required 4 degrees or below temperature, particularly in the door. It was always around 7 degrees or higher so we have never been able to keep milk there. From new, we have always had to have the fridge on the coldest setting. Even in the main part, it has been higher than 4 degrees at times, especially in hot weather.
Recently, I suspected the fridge had gotten even warmer so I began testing the temperatur...Read more
e in various sections of the fridge. The temperature varies between 9 and 11 degrees, pushing 12! I can see from reviews on the Product Review site that cooling in this fridge appears to be a common issue, regardless of the age of the appliance. There has never been such thing as a cold glass of white wine in our house! We’ve just been in the habit of putting the bottle of white wine in the freezer for 20 minutes before we drink it to compensate for the door temperature.Purchased in May 2021 for $1,050.00.

Cooling control back to front - dont buy Westinghouse
We recently discovered after many months of expensive food waste, inadequate cooling and the expensive cost of an unnecessary and service call that the reason our fridge wasnt cooling properly and that we were wasting so much food was that the temperature control is back to front. One would think that getting the temperature control correct on a fridge is a fairly important and basic aspect of refrigeration. Would think twice ever buying this Brand again
Purchased in June 2021.

I've been very happy with this model.
I inherited this fridge over 8 years ago, and it has never given me a single problem. Perhaps this is because it has never been moved in that time, and I wonder if other reviewers have issues after frequent moves. I haven't had any of the plastic parts break like other reviewers. It has never even needed a new light. It's always the right temperature, no rust or corrosion, and the seals are fine. The vegetables stay crisp in the crisper and the freezer works a treat (we always keep the freezer section fully stocked). It's a very quiet fridge and easy to keep clean. The fridge is a share fridge, and so gets frequent usage. .

Substandard interior parts
Whilst we have been happy with the cooling provided by the fridge and freezer, so many of the plastic parts have broken within a short time of owning it and this has made it very difficult and frustrating to pull drawers in and out. The ice cube tray also broke on a couple of occasions, making it completely unusable and this is upsetting, as this was one of the main reasons we decided to purchase this particular product. No wonder this product has been discontinued! Very unhappy with the company’s response to my feedback and request for replacement parts.

Great Fridge
We have had this fridge since new and in 7 years it has not given us any problem not even a blown light bulb
it seems to be sturdily made
the crisper draw cannot be fully opened with door only at 90 degrees would be our only complaint but it situated in an alcove with a side wall

Fridge and freezer wont cool.
4 yrs old and wont cool. Compressor runs, fan works, condenser gets slightly cool but wont get cold. Replaced control unit with no change. The important spare parts cannot be found listed under this model number and I suspect its discontinued because Westinghouse (aka Electrolux) know it's faulty and dont want to support it. Very disapointing for an expensive fridge from two big brand names, Westinghouse and Electrolux.

Only 5 years old. Fridge doesn’t cool
This fridge is only 5 years old and the fridge section has just stopped cooling. Freezer is fine. Totally unacceptable for an expensive product to not last. Could not recommend this brand. My daughter’s Samsung is 15 years and still going strong. I am very disappointed in this product. Will try and fix but by the sounds of it this is an inherent fault.

Great family size fridge!
We have had this fridge for 2 years now and absolutely love it. We are a family of 4 and had to upgrade because our old fridge simply couldnt fit what we needed. This fridge has two large pull out draws for fruit/vegetables which hold a lot. They also fit Tupperware Fridge Smart containers perfectly. The draw in the freezer is a little bit flimsy but hasnt broken...yet! Quiet to run and chraper to run then our smaller fridge! A great size family fridge/freezer!

A happy purchase
Maintains the right temperature in all compartments but a tad noisy when the compressor operates. Very easy to clean. I love the upside down design, the sturdy brushed stainless steel handles, the stainless steel panels on the doors and the glass shelves. The 510L space is perfect for my family. I recommend it for familes up to 5 people.

roomy and quiet
A nice sleek, roomy fridge with a big bottom mount freezer.
The "secure" medicine compartment is flimsy and useless, but the rest of the fridge is great. I particularly like the glass shelves, and the crispers which have a little switch so you can change the humidity level depending on what you want to store in them.

Sorry I paid $1371.00 for such a poor quality stainless steel fridge and the worst customer service
Purchased 430 litre Westinghouse stainless steel 2 door bottom mounted freezer refrigerator Model No WBE4300SBLH 24/1/2013. In December 2013 rust appeared on the outside of both doors. When I contacted Westinghouse they advised they would have to order 2 new doors which took 5 months to be installed eventually on 9/5/14. I noticed over the past 4-5 months of 2016 that the fridge has a problem as it is always fogging up, the shelves are always wet and vegetables in crisper are wet and soggy. Black mould keeps appearing on the top side of the ...Read more
freezer door seal (gasket) which is always wet. When I called Westinghouse re the moisture/mould they said I had to pay $145 for a service call plus the cost of new gaskets. I refused to pay for the gaskets, The technician replaced the fridge and freezer gaskets on 9/2/17, advising me to keep both fridge and freezer doors closed for one hour. When I checked the gaskets later, the new freezer gasket was not fitted correctly and was very puckered, especially along the opening side of the door. When I checked the old gaskets which I retrieved from my rubbish bin, I saw the rear of the old freezer gasket (which was unable to be accessed for cleaning when attached to the door) also had black mould and rust on it, presumably from the inside of the freezer door. The new freezer gasket has now been fitted over rust on the inside of the freezer door and the rust has now leaked onto the new gasket replaced only 2 days ago. The technician did not draw my attention to the rust behind the old gasket when he removed it from the freezer door. Wonder how long till the rust leaks through again to the outside of the replacement set of doors, When I contacted Westinghouse to complain they said that there is nothing wrong with this just 4 year old fridge which first had issues with rust 11 months after purchase on 24/1/13.Similar opinion? Fridge part stopped working
I have had the fridge for 4 years and have kept it like a new fridge and not overloading it .Got up in the middle of an extreme heat wave to find my cold water was not cold at all, in actual fact it was warm as was my milk which had turned to big blobs of sour milk. I dont have the money to buy another fridge as I am a pensioner living from week to week is there anything that can be done to help out in this matter. By the way the freezer works great. Regards Sharon

As of June 2016 all Westinghouse fridges now made in Thailand
It is still a good fridge 8 years later. Now buying a new fridge due to needing more vegetable space.
Long shelf on door broke and we paid for the replacement as it a much used shelf.
The icemaker tray broke but didn't replace due to price to replace it and lack of real need for it.
It is quiet and doesn't freeze up the vegetables like the Fisher Paykel one we had before.
Rusted a bit by the door handle, inside the door edge and at the top of the door - but we did live by the beach so I imagine this is pretty normal.
We were told these refrigertors are now made in Thailand and best not to buy one again.
No crack in the bottom of the fridge as mentioned by other reviewers.

Great Fridge
Love this fridge as it keeps the food crisp for much longer than any other fridge I've owned. The crisper is fantastic and I now understand just how Woolies/Coles can store fruit for so long and say it's fresh, coz this baby rocks. It runs quietly for the most time, though in the middle of the night I can hear the fan running at times. Cleaning is a breeze as is removing and adjusting the shelves. Have always liked Westinghouse, and hopefully Electrolux will continue the good name for this brand. The fridge hasn't missed a beat in the 18 months I've owned it.

Great roomy Australian made fridge
Have owned for a year and a half. I love my Westinghouse with freezer on the bottom, so much easier to use this way. I can find everything easy, has lots of room in door and big vegie bin. I did not find it noisy at all, at first you wonder what all the strange sounds are but it settles down after awhile, My vegies have been lasting longer so am happy. Has a great ice maker if you need it. Shelving can be adjusted and lots of room at the top too. This replaced a cheap Hellar which started playing up as soon as the one year warranty was out. I bought extra warranty with Westinghouse but don't think I will be needing it. I highly recommend this fridge and support a great Australian business.

Still going strong with no issues at all. Be interested in hearing from Westinghouse why this model has been discontinued and what is it's replacement. Still if you can get a new or second hand one still might be worth it.

The fridge (top) compartment is freezing food and water! The control display shows the fridge temp to be 7 degrees, which is higher than recommended (3-4) and definitely higher than actual - since it freezes.
How can i fix this? Thx.
