A Great fridge/freezer. It makes life so much easier to have the fridge section at the top and it has a door alarm which sounds when the door has been left open for too long, great when you have forgetful kids. It doesn't go off when your putting away the shopping either. It's quiet running and doesn't wake anyone during the night, a consideration if you have any light sleepers in the family. Would recommend this to anyone.
Everything. A good looking fridge/freezer. It's quiet, sleek and very easy to clean. It really doesn't get fingerprints on the door either. A good size especially for a large family. The crisper's keep fruit and veg fresher for much longer than my old fridge could manage.

Good
I am very happy with the fridge. It does the job well. It's definitely big enough for 2-3 people and would recommend it. The upside down mount is great, and liked having the option of left or right opening door when we purchased it.
I like the bottom mount freezer, as we are in the fridge far more often then the freezer, so it eliminates bending over as much and I can see everything that is in the fridge (nothing hiding down the bottom). The storesafe compartment is great for medicines or chocolate! The fridge is quiet, easy to clean (we h...Read more

Quiet, spacious and *tough*
We have the model with the freezer compartment at the bottom, like others I find it much more convenient that way. Have had it for over a year now and it just works, no fuss, no muss.
One stand out feature - its flood proof :) Our house went under in the Brisbane floods and the fridge floated round the kitchen for 24 hours. It picked up a few dents in the process, but a week later we dried it out and cleaned it off and it started again with no problems and has been running flawlessly ever since.
reliable solid inexpensive good value

Had the same fridge but in the older version slightly smaller 410 ltr for over 15 years.
As I had a good experience with the old Westinghouse upside/down which is still going, thought I would stay with the same brand, just update.
Love the glass shelves as it catches those leaking milk bottles. Fridge section is slightly larger and freezer space slightly smaller than old model. Freezer drawers are easy to slide being on telescopic sliders. Even temperatures throughout the entire body of refridgerated section. Door storage excellent.
Hope Westinghouse don't go any larger with this model as my kitchen will not take a bigger fridge/freezer and still leave the required space between cupboards & fridge.

Very poor customer service by Electrolux
Westinghouse fridges come from Electrolux, a company which apparently does not care about customer service for product availability and delivery. After purchasing a Westinghouse fridge and being given a delivery date for 2 weeks (during which time we lived out of an esky),the fridge was not delivered and we had not received any calls. We contacted David Jones and they followed up with Electrolux - we were advised we were still 21st on the Electrolux waiting list and they could not confirm a date it would be ready. The next day we received a 'co...Read more
urtesy call' from the Electrolux call centre to tell us that they might get some of these products in their warehouse in another 2 weeks...but we'd still have to just wait and see (like a lottery!). I called their sales number to complain and try to get some useful information. I was listened to this time but in the end the response was that Electrolux doesn't have any way of knowing when their products will be made, therefore they are never able to tell a customer when it will be available. I was told that most people are happy to just wait and see when it will become available, usually waiting 2 months! I won't bother with such a third-rate company again.1 comment
Why would you buy it if it wasn't in stock...your story is your own fault IMO

We got the WBM4300WB in white, second hand. It's served us well so far. Love the twist ice cube trays! Easy to clean too. The drawers in the freezer make it easy to access the contents. We haven't had any problems with this fridge!
The fridge being up the top, the ice maker, the anti-spill shelves, easy to clean.

bought this fridge after several months of extensive research, very happy with final decision. it looks much nicer in the kitchen than in the shops. a lot quieter than i expected. heaps of space, huge vege baskets, freezer stores a lot more than expected. awesome ice bucket, even comes with a little scoop that sits nicely on the corner of the bucket. have found that a good fridge makes food lasts longer, true for this fridge, have left an opened thickened creme tub in the fridge for 2 weeks (normally lasts 3 days in the fridge once opened) and it was still good. highly recommend this fridge

Generally good with decent frig compartment temperature management. Not impressed that the icedmaker broke 6 months after the warranty ran out.
Relatively quiet. Keeps the frig compartment properly cool across the whole space.
Icemaker broke after 2.5 years. Could not take the twisting. Icemaker ice catcher bin too big so it blocks the freezer.

I love this fridge
Love this fridge. I have more space for food storage & also have better organisation of food. i even have a sercet location for my chocolate. the temperature control is consistant for both compartment. drinks are now more secure on the rack becoz it has a stopper to stop it moving around(which is one of the main reason I picked this brand).
The installation was a little different than what i thought, there were 2 wheels at the back which help you to position the fridge a lot easier, after positioning, just adjust the fix leg at the front t...Read more
o secure the position. 430L just right for 2 of us. compared with the one in the old house(350L), i quite often struggling to fit extra food inside the fridge. I picked the white color one, i don't need stainless steel finishing surface. I just want a fridge works. the only con for me is the fridge is quiet high for me to access the top shelf. the price, size, space2 comments
Some addition information:
quite easy to clean the fridge as it use safe glass plate instead of mesh rack. when there is spill or leaking, it just stay on the glass. just slowly remove from the fridg... Read more

WBM4300WB - This fridge is very quiet, cools and freezes really well and has a 4 star energy rating which is pretty good.
The fridge can be purchased with left or right side opening doors which is especially handy if you are buying a fridge to fit in an existing space. The Crisper bin is humidity controlled which makes the fruit and vegetables last a bit longer and the humidity is adjustable according to what items you are storing in there. The temperature controls for the fridge and freezer are seperate. The fride also came with an egg holder...Read more

I'd give it a 9 out of 10 Now that I own one I can rest on my laurels and be satisfied that all of the people who took my advice and bought this fridge from me can rest happily knowing I put my own money where my mouth is.
I've been a long term beleiver that Westinghouse make the better fridge and having been a saleperson strongly recommended them against others. I have always owned one and recently updated to my new stainless steel wb5100 bottom freezer. I find the bottom freezer makes the refrigerator so much more practical it easier to manag...Read more

Great fridge, worth the money
I bought this in December 08, and now it's Nov 10. So far it has done its job without any problems. We experienced two power outages, but the fridge was not affected and it continues to work perfectly. It's not too noisy unless cooling down, and energy rating is good too. When i bought this 2 years ago, friends said it was expensive, but after two years, I am glad I have a reliable fridge. I know there's some luck involved in buying electronics, but I'm really happy with this product.
UPDATE: It is now 2016, 8 years later, still going strong...Read more
so I am going to improve the rating to 5. No problems whatsoever even though I had it in storage for a year as well. I think this model was made in Australia but some smaller Westinghouse fridges/freezers are made outside Australia and you can see that they don't look like the same high quality as the Australian made models. So far, very reliable. Vegetables stay fresh longer (using the veggie setting -more humidity in the veg compartment). Bottom freezer drawers are great. Large capacity is always convenient even though it's just two of us using it. The price! Paid 1200+ for it!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad
Buy with caution. I expect that we've just experienced bad luck, but we'll be asking to hear the fridge running in the store before we make our next purchase.
Looks nice.
Our experience with this fridge has been terrible. Our first one had to be replaced due to a manufacturing fault and the second one is so noisy you can hear it revving up every 20 minutes from the other end of the house - even during the night. We can't wait to get something different. The fridge handle isn't that useful as its too low.

The fridge (top) compartment is freezing food and water! The control display shows the fridge temp to be 7 degrees, which is higher than recommended (3-4) and definitely higher than actual - since it freezes.
How can i fix this? Thx.
