Has anyone had trouble with the griller controller knob on oven turning on with the slightest touch? My griller has been switched on accidentally and unknowingly just from wiping panel . Twice i have found grilled on and red hot. Very dangerous could set house on fire. Switch is a lot looser than the oven control ones. Need advise on what to do please.

i want to pre heat the oven. Is there a light that indicates when the oven has reached the desired temperature. All my previous ovens have a light that turns on and when temp is reached it switches off so I know it's hot enough to start baking

My fan is not working in my new oven that was installed yesterday, plus it is now over one hour and has not reached temperature, the most disappointing purchase I have ever made

Hi Marie.. I put the fan/bake on and the fan does come on so it should be working. Whomever you purchased the oven from should send out someone from to look at no cost to you as it sounds like a faulty oven which should be replaced.
Thanks Sandra, I put in a call and a service person is coming tomorrow.

should the fan work when I have it on fan/bake, my new oven does not. I was excited about getting this oven but after a frustrating evening of trying to get it to work I hate it.

I have just had a oven installed and the fan in the back does not seem to be working

Hello. The fan only comes on when set to fan bake or rapid heat. Give that a try. The fan bake function is not "fan forced" as they told me from shop where it was purchased. We only use the bake/pizza mode as fan bake is useless for roasting or cooking.

How do you operate this product do you have to turn timer on every time you want to use the oven? I am finding your user manual very hard to understand
2 answers
No, you select which heat you want then turn to the temperature you want and that goes for both ovens. You can set the the clock to "Timer" by pressing "Mode" twice and then the + to how many minutes you want, if you went to far press - and it will beep when the countdown reaches 0.
We have never used the cooking timer as we don't go out when the oven is on but yhere are only two things to set, the time you want it to start and how long, oh also then set the heat type and duration. (I think only the main oven works like that).
No need to use the timer, though I use it every time. You must switch both dials (temp and type of heat - bake, fan bake etc) for the oven to work.
WARNING CAUTION!!!
Not shouting, just letting you know what's not in the manual. If you leave the grill door closed it WILL melt the plastic frame - I know from experience. Others have reported fires!

I replaced my 20 year old Chef oven with the Westinghouse WVE665W. I find I have to turn the fan force up to 220c to even attempt baking potatoes and even turning up to rapid heat barely browns them. Definitely not crisp. I dread to think how I will cook anything properly. I would give anything to have my previous stove back. I have had this stove only two weeks and so far it seems to be a great disappointment. Will someone please tell me how to brown food in this oven? There is a top element in this stove, but unlike my other one it does not allow for browning in fact it does not even appear to be working. I really need someone to give me a few pointers. I am a pensioner and could not afford anything else, but I still do not think it was an inexpensive purchase.

I just bought WVE665S and had wall oven and had it installed. I am not sure how to use it though. Do I need to turn both function knob as well as temperature knob to start baking? The fan does not seem to start with only temp. knob turn on. Is this correct?
1 answer
Yes. You need to use both dials at once. Fan won't work unless you use the Fan bake or Rapid heat setting (but must set a temp as well).
