Door frame melted on the separate grill
Westinghouse WVE665W Electric Wall Oven
Bought it last year went to clean the grill glass door and found that it had melted the frame that holds the glass in
Called Westinghouse they sent a repair man said that we had been grilling with the door shut
So my question is did they know about this DANGEROUS problem is so why haven't they solved it with fireproof materials
This is a fire hazard that I will be contacting consumer advise if not solved

Poorly Made & Terrible Customer Service
Purchased the oven a few weeks ago by a reputable retailer. Looks great, however first time use there was an odd smell.. after keeping it on for a few hours food was put in to cook, heard loud sort of popping noises & additional smell, only to discover that the paint had exploded in a few places & about a 2 inch crack at the front bottom.

onica did yesterday. Narelle called me last Saturday & advised that the WA Service Technician Manager would call me but I have not heard from them going on a week now. Perhaps you could track these people down & investigate the matter & get back to me accordingly. I have a defective apparently "brand new" oven unable to be used due to poor quality checking & customer service from Electrolux / Westinghouse / Chef.

I'd really like a refund
I bought this oven in October 2016 from Harvey Norman and since then I have called for repairs twice now. In February 2017 the element had warped which caused the fan to stop working after some loud banging noises. The same noise started last night so I turned the fan off and have a technician coming out for (most likely) the same issue. I am extremely concerned that every 4 to 5 months I will have another issue and eventually this will start happening outside of my warranty period.
Very disappointed as out 20+ year old Westinghouse lasted such a long time. Clearly they don't make them like they used to...

Oven good but Grill is useless.
Stylish looking with good sized glass door to see in the oven. Base heat function in oven is good. Grill is useless as tray is too far away from element to cook anything, even toast. Grill has to be switched on for a long, long, long, long time before it generates nearly enough heat to cook very slowly - a design flaw?

I love it!!!! It has a fantastic delayed timer.
I used to spend hours waiting for my old oven to get the job done, and when I stopped cooking in protest, hubby went out and got me this beauty for a great price and also free delivery. This gas oven with an electric grill is just amazing. It has a fantastic delayed timer, so it starts cooking when I'm out and about and dinner is ready to be dished up when I get home. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I would recommend it to anyone who has a busy lifestyle. It has changed my life!

POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
We purchased this oven on the 30/4/2017 from Good Guys Essendon. Their electrician came and installed it the following week Sat 6/5/2017. On the first use, following the 30min burn-off as outlined in the instruction manual, grill and oven were switched off. Doors were then closed some 30min after switching off. 3 hours later glass in the griller door shattered. Went back to Good Guys, called the Westinghouse Service Centre. I made two very very specific requests (a) That the service support arrive on Friday AFTERNOON (b) That we were not happy ...Read more
and want a replacement oven. On both counts Westinghouse failed to comprehend clear instructions. (a) Tony arrived in the morning as everyone was preparing to go to work. These matters should be settled at the CUSTOMER's convenience-not the sellers. (b) He proposed only to replace the internal glass. I would not recommend the Westinghouse product because of these failures of product and English comprehension.1 comment
