Good allround 25hp outboard
My 25hp nmhs is on a Sea Jay Nomad 3.7, with bowmount motor and all safetygear etc. Very quick@28 knots (gps) with 11 1/4 pitch prop. Idles trolling smoothly with no plug fouling issue. Using 80:1 semi synthetic oil. Will be switching over to AMSOIL Saber synthetic from next tank fill, still at 80:1 though. I also use 'Fuel set' by Liquid Engineering in WA. This keeps moisture and waxing contaminants at bay in your tank. Never had a fuel issue in 30 years of using this product in petrol and diesal engines. We also go up to the Gulf fishing, 70 to 90km trips daily.

Smooth as silk
I have one of these on my second boat. I am a 4 stroke man but after much research settled on one of these. I use it on a 396 Clark Magnum set up with a bowmount Minnkota. The rig is a missile with this motor. For a 2 stroke it trawls beautifully. I took mine up to to the Gulf for barra trip and flogged the living daylights out of it. y a 25 HP 4 stroke get one of these. The most important thing is the correct prop which will ensure top performance and fuel economy. Reliable. Great fuel economy. Light weight. Easy maintenance. Plenty of service centres. Quiet. Smooth.1 comment
