Excellent!!

published

We absolutely LOVE our Ziggy! We actually cook all of our meat on it even at home. Weve tried other barbecues but this is by far the best as it gets really hot, ideal for searing and charring. The temperature regulator is wonderful also which allows us to roast and bake in it with excellent results. Would never use another barbecue.

More options than a weber

published

Easy choice over a weber. We wanted some th ing for the two of us and extra space for entertaining. Love the twin grill option. Just turn on one side for small amounts. Does beautiful roasts. Easy to clean and has lots of cheaper accessories for pizzas and plates (rather than grill) etc. Love the open lid cooking option too.

Wouldnt be without it

published

We recently upgraded to the Ziegler from a Weber Baby Q. I find the Ziegler fantastic. It is easy to fire up, with the flame thrower ignition making it easy. We have the add on trolley, which provides a stable home for the bbq, and allows us to take it away camping. We purchased the half hot plate for the bbq, which provides the best of both worlds, and gives plenty of room for cooking for the entire family. Have not looked back since purchasing.

We’ve taken our bbq every where

published

Our bbq has been taken everywhere on camping trips. We cook everything we cook at home on this one bbq, it’s a oven, cook roasts, chooks and cakes. Cooking steaks, and meat is real easy and cooks the meat with nice flavours.
The build of the unit we cannot fault. We have thrown ours in the back of our camping trailer. We’ve had ours around 4 years and still going strong. When it comes time to get a new one. We would definitely buy again.

Castors that simply fall off???

published

After purchasing the Ziggy with stand and wheels/castors,......one slight uneven surface,....the stupid castors fall out? So annoying and a VERY basic feature to ensure the safety of the BBQ not to topple. When both fall out the whole BBQ is on a dangerous angle.Please,...get it right and make appropriate attachments.

Best BBQ

published

We are very happy with this BBQ. Easy to use, food turned out as what we have expected. Like the lid which helps to maintain the temperature and keeps way from birds' dropping. Though it's a bit expensive but it's worth it in the long run. We bought cheap BBQs before but keep chucking them out after a few use. We believe in quality.

The worst bbq ever

published

The Z & B three burner I purchased two years ago is the worst bbq I have ever used, without doubt.

The burners are way too low and you struggle to fry an egg or cook bacon on it. Don’t even think about using the wok, it doesn’t even get a sizzle up.

An over priced piece of garbage.

One word PATHETIC.

Do not buy one, you’ll regret it.

What a gem

published

I purchased the 3 burner model from BBQ Galore. Best BBQ I have ever owned. Great for roasting, cooking pizza and, of course, steaks. Electric oven stopped working and took a couple of weeks to get repaired. Used the Ziegler & Brown for all cooking, didn't miss a beat. Super fast to heat up and holds temp with only one burner on low. Would highly recommend.

So versatile! Love the ziggy!

published

We have a Weber Q which does us well but we normally go camping in big groups so bought the Ziegler twin and we love it. We have cooked schnitzel and veggies in pots and pans on it, made a roast, warmed up food, bacon and eggs BBQ u name it and it’s awesome!!! We take it everywhere with us. It’s a bit heavy but that’s to be expected and big but u can’t have that without the versatility it offers. You won’t look back if you buy it!

not perfect but good

PROS
Bought this from gumtree and have to say its a very good investment.Fairly even heat distribution.
The hood cover and bag cover it came with keeps it well protected when not in use. Still in a very good condition.

CONS
- The dials are a bit plastic and have to really push at times to get the grill to turn off.
- only comes with one hot plate. (though understand a second hotplate would always be able to be purchased seperately)

Best BBQ I ever bought

published

After buying relatively cheap or BBqs for years I decided to spend a bit extra and get a BBQ that would hopefully be used more often. It came down to the weber equivalent and the ziggy two burner. I went for the ziggy based on having the option to to cook if I wanted to (rather than put the hood down) and given the ziggy came with extras such as a hot plate (a must have for me) and utensils, covers, etc as well as being cheaper. I am very happy with my choice and the ziggy does a great job cooking with the right amount of heat. I don't usually write reviews but I think it deserves some kudos. I BBQ far more often these days.

Perfect Roast!

published

I have been satisfied with the bbq since my husband bought it for me. It is very easy to use and is also very easy to maintain and clean in my opinion. it is very easy to move around and cooks the perfect roast. I wouldn't think of buying a different brand bbq. This is honestly the best bbq i ever used.

Perfect for summer months

published

We love our new grill and use it every second day to cook an array of meats and vegetables. So far it did not disappoint. The lid on top is perfect and prevents mess all around. The meat is juicy and cooks fast, also cannot wait to see our energy bill go down with so much outdoor cooking.

Love it!! Roasts are a dream

published

Have the Triple grill. Have done plenty of roasts without fail. Christmas ham turned out beautiful. Cost a bit to get the right plates I wanted but cooks big enough for 4-6. Baking dish in centre fits alfoil trays. 3 burners can regulate the heat with ease.
I liked the Ziggy over Weber due to plates, 3 zoned burners, better ignition, can cook with lid open and on any surface and price!!. The cart is awesome with spots for all unused plates, trivets and baking dishes under the ziggy along with the storage in front.
Easy to use, great to clean. I have used a mid range weber through work and ziggy gets the win.
Got mine in a big package from bbqs galore for $999.

Trouble free performance

published

BBQ meat has never tasted so good. We have had your standard 2 or 3 burner BBQ's in the past but after a while the jets etc seem to start getting blocked or performance deteriorates. With the Ziggy there's been no issues at all, always easy to light, easy to use and not too bad to clean.
Sure it doesn't have as much cooking space as a normal bigger bbq but I guess could always buy the bigger 3 burner model.
We've been so happy with our Ziggy that we've brought a single burner model to take when we go camping.
