Time to relax
This unit is light years ahead of my previous unit that shall remain nameless. I now only need to vacuum the steps in my pool and the G2 looks after the rest. It gets up the walls well and powers around the rest of the pool with ease. I get a lot of leaf debris in the pool which it handles with ease. I can now enjoy the pool with very little effort.

Better than my expectations
I installed the G2 after carefully reading instructions and it is performing very well indeed, covering the whole pool except the top steps - (which would be a very big ask!) Cleans (light) debris effortlessly. Next Winter I will see how well it can the heavy fall from a nearby Jacaranda tree, with a pool cover in place to help it along.
However, it has stuck on the hydrostatic valve cover several times. I have just adjusted two inlets to point away from the cover and am waiting to see if this fixes the problem If not, I will be looking to the experts for a solution to this problem.

Excellent product - My fourth one in 20 years - on pebble pool (one of the hardest to keep clean)
My fourth one in 20 years (1st one was a Manta by Poolrite, same concept and diaphragm), that's nearly 7 years I've had out of each. I have a lot of gum trees mainly Wandoo. Fills my skimmer packed full in one day (now have the Zodiac leaf catcher - brilliant - which it fills one or two of in one day, with leaves and small sticks up to 3mm diam and 10-20 cm long.
It just works. No cleaning out filters etc. or power cord.
Need to be aware that the diaphragm needs replacing about every 6 months, and may have a break that is only just noticeable, but prevents it moving properly.

Been a great product!
Have had the Zodiac G2 for over 2 years, with no real issues until now. It has been a great unity, specially for the price compared to the K.K I replaced .Have not had to replace any parts yet, however, now find it doesn;t move most of the time. Have checked pressure, hoses etc. all seem ok, diaphragm looks ok, although I wonder if it has stretched a bit in this time (no visible damage) Will look at replacing this to see if it fixes the problem. Also, I wonder if (like the old K K) the flexible foot needs replacing? I recall on the KK it was textured, and when worn, wouldnt move. However, the G2 is smooth? Ideas welcome.

ck is getting a $2 coin and if it falls through the gap, you need to replace. Hope this helps.Cheers, will test this out now & maybe replace diaphram...after a couple of years I'm sure it needs it!

Doesn't travel well
Only just bought this item and hoped for great results. However, it was on for three hours and seemed to keep going over the same area. Went up three times to find it stuck in a corner. Last time I went to check, it had become detached from the main body! So far not so good....climbs walls and let's in air and judders constantly.

Great cleaner
I bought the Pentair Hammehead, Not a bad unit got around the pool and walls pretty good but I took it back after 3 hours as it just couldn't pick the long leaves in my pool like the woman said it would.
I found out my outgoing old cleaner was a Baracuda so I purchased the new Zodiac G2 model.
This thing would suck the chrome off a towbar, goes like the clappers up the walls seems to be picking up all the

Would'nt Be without It
I usually allow my pool to down grade during winter, with winter winds blowing debris and leafs into the pool, it was to much like hard work to keep it clean. Now I have the pool cleaner which is easy to maintain and keeps the pool clean all year round, with minimal effort by yours truly. Regards Alan February 6th 2017 Update: spare parts for Zodiac G2 The diaphragm on my zodiac G2 split after six months, but I replaced it with generic diaphragm which I purchased on E bay and bought two for $22.49 from best Pool Supplies as the cost from the local pool shop of genuine parts was $30 for one. Now I have had the diaphragm in for over a year with no problems and the machine works perfectly, and I still have a spare. I have found it works perfectly and I still have a spare So it is not necessary to buy original, as I have also found with my car and such things as lawn mowers, the generic part is as good as an oriiginal. Parts dont last
For the first month of buying my new Zodiac G2 i was very happy and impressed but the issue with the Zodiac product is the shocking poor quality of the diaphram.i replaced 7 (genuin) diaphrams in the first 14 months. its now 2 years old and it sits in the shed..i wouldnt buy a Zodiac product again

Broken after only 6 months
Normal use and set at the recommended 2.5bar suction setting the Zodiac G2 stopped. The diaphragm has a hole in it already. Sorry to say but after spending this type of money and getting only 6 months use out of a brand new unit I wouldn't be recommended it to anyone. Let's see what they say when went we ring tomorrow under warranty.

Looking Good
My pool is just over 40 years old and have only ever had Barracuda cleaners which have all been good long lasting cleaners. The pool has been just re marbled and I bought a Zodiac G2 to look after it. I have only had it in two days so far and it has gone straight to work doing a great job. The pool was a mess as I had been away overseas for the last 3 weeks and no pool cleaner. Within 2 hours the G2 had the pool back to new looking again.
At the moment it gets top marks, time will tell.

Zodiac G2 Cleans Well but Now Eats Diaphragms
Purchased a property recently with a pool and Zodiac G2 included. The G2 had been doing a pretty good job cleaning for a year or so until recently when I replaced the flexible hoses and cover plate which were developing holes causing air entry into the pump system. With the new hose and cover plate the diaphragms are now lasting not much more than a week!!! I have read the comments that probably the suction is too high which is probably the case except that I have a problem in that it is already on the lightest setting so there is no further options for adjustment. Perhaps I have to drill holes in everything to get it to work again!!!??? Seems like a pretty 'industrial solution'… Hopefully it will work -> To be determined...

Happy with G2 Cleaners
After my old Zodiac G2 Suction Cleaner finally gave up after many years of trouble free use it was an easy decision to buy a new one - It was also recommended by the owner of the Maplepool where I have been going to for many years for all my pool products.

Live and learn
I went to my pool people to have them pop in a new diaphragm (which was on the way out) plus a new rubber base plate which was perished. Got it home and nothing but trouble. Didn't clean well and never got out of corners. Threw it into the shed and for twelve months hand cleaned. Pulled it out today hoping that it had learnt to behave itself but alas no. Been reading all these posts and noticing the pictures etc and thought "that doesn't look like mine". The pool people had put the rubber base plate on upside down. Ripped it off, wacked it on the proper way and wham, runs like a treat, in and out of corners, up the walls. Pays to do things yourself !!!!!!!!!!!!

My old Barracuda suction cleaner died after years of good service. New one immediately did sterling
Great suction cleaner. It had a major job to do initially which it is doing quickly and efficiently.
I do not, however, like the new bayonet connections on the pipes as it renders all my old pipes obsolete.
Recently I had (with the old cleaner) a spate of diaphragms that lasted from anywhere between a week and a month. An unacceptable failure rate not cured by replacements that continued to fail miserably too.

Great product, saves time & pool is very clean!
Purchased online, prompt delivery from Pool & Spa warehouse. G2 is fantastic, moves easily around entire pool, cleaning it beautifully! Early days though but at the moment very happy! Our pool is used daily in summer & it is great to have no dirt or leaves it in as the G2 picks it all up!

Zodiac Barracuda G2 Rubbish
I was advised to replace my old Voyageur with a Zodiac G2. Bad advice this product is garbage. The hose sections failed after one month and likewise the replacements. I was told by Zodiac SA that it was a production line fault. I now use half Voyageur hose and half Zodiac. The diaphragm needed replacing after 11 months and the replacement after two months. Nabridas the agent in Mauritius should product test before recommendation of this South African crap!

Buy the G2 at your peril
Have had the G2 for one year now, and have had to replace the diaphragm 4 times. Am going to bin it and revert to the old Zodiac Pacer which was quite adequate for many years trouble free.

Very good, but a recurring issue with the skirt
I have had a G2 for several years, and in the main I'm very happy with it. However, I have just thrown away my 4th skirt which had the same problem as the previous 3. They all started 'losing' the outer layer, dropping bits of blue rubber into the pool, and then became 'sticky' touch and not able to be used. I have a salt water, fiberglass pool. I am hesitant to buy another one and the same thing happens. Maybe they should make silicon skirts.

find on the market. Any skirt pool, however, is a wear-and-tear part that needs replacing over time. Brilliant
Didn't take long to connect, followed instructions and worked first time brilliantly will never be with out one again. It negotiated the stairs very well and cleaned the walls. Its a big improvement on the old g4 I had although that was very old. Love the new hoses as they click together much easier especially when you are not really strong like myself.
