Advice
Rang the service department with a problem I was having with my new continental 650 gt Royal Enfield. I found the staff courteous, and genuinely interested in hearing about my difficulty.
The problem was sorted out with me not feeling like an idiot.
Thanks fellers, would certainly recommend you to my friends.

Excellent customer service - even from a world away!
A big thank you to John and the team at A1 Motorcycles for their excellent service and responsiveness. I was interested in a bike that had just arrived at their Ringwood (Victoria) store - however I now reside in Coffs Harbour (NSW). I had dealt with the guys before when I resided in Melbourne and knew that they had integrity, so I gave them a call and after a bit of discussion and a few photo swaps I purchased the bike. John even delivered the bike himself to my home in Coffs, with that enigmatic smile ever present on his face. Thanks again guys.

Excellent customer service, friendly helpful sales and service team.
The sales staff and management were extremely helpful and personable, they have a great range of bikes to choose from, lots of spares and accessories and no pressure was put on me to buy. I ended up doing a great deal with A1 after taking a couple of weeks to review some other options.

THEY TREATED ME LIKE A VIP CUSTOMER, NOT A NUMBER!
In November 2018 I start to shop for a new bike, I start by calling many companies and when I got to speak to John from A1 motorcycle I felt that he was very accommodating and treated me with utmost respect making me feel very comfortable and also like a VIP customer.
Not like the other big companies like Peter Stevens that I had a bad situation where I went there to test ride a motorcycle and was pretty much treated with total disregard, I felt like I was treated like a thief and no someone with the money to buy a new bike; I’ve also noticed t...Read more
hat people at Peter Stevens are very snobbish, it looks like they don’t really care until you pull the credit card or cheque to pay for their products, from this point on wards they change dramatically! When was taking the bike another guy come to tag along and I could only do a small trip around the block, something I didn’t like and felt again like I had someone over my shoulder to check me out, so I ended up giving up the test ride and leaving the premises in Dandenong. The other problem with that company is the price, they do really pump their price very high, I’ve noticed that their bikes were something between 1k to 3ks more than you get in the market, but because I got one bike from them in the past, and the service at the time was good, I thought I try again, but this time I was very disappointed and left the premise feeling like it was a total waist of my time. I got in touch with John and from the word go, we connected, he was as I’ve said, very accommodating and the conversation was very friendly; I actually felt like it was a chat I was having with a very nice friend, and not a stranger! John invited me to go there and test ride the bike, this was a Thursday, so I rocked up there at the A1 motorcycles for a test ride. The meeting was very nice and easy, we talked about my beloved CBR1000rr, how it looks and so on, he noticed also that my forks were leaking so he offered me to get it fixed as I wasn’t ready to get the bike right away and having to use my bike for a month, he thought it was dangerous for me to ride my bike, again he showed concern for my wellbeing and that was very nice! I decided to get my bike fixed there as the price he quoted me was impossible to miss on, so I did what have to be done! We then went inside the A1 Shop to see his stock, I was after a CRF1000 Africa Twin, yes I know the bike is amazing, and yes, I am now a proud owner of this gorgeous sexy looking beat! John come o me and handed me the motorbike keys and told me I could take it, I didn’t understand first because I had such a bad experience with many of the calls I’ve made and also the Peter Stevens issue, so I wasn’t expecting this kind of treatment; John got my license o do the normal paper work, explain it to me how the beast work and told me that I could go! How come I could go? He didn’t ask me when I had to bring the bike back so I’ve asked him when I should return the bike? John said to me to keep it for the weekend and enjoy it; I couldn’t believe I was actually hearing these words, so I asked him if I could really have the bike for a weekend? John again just told me: Yeah Edson, just keep it and enjoy it, I trust you and I know you’ll look after! At that moment I knew I was going to get the bike from him, here am I getting out of the shop with a gorgeous 21k bike without no hang-ups, no concerns, it was like a normal thing for John, like something he have done before. So I used the bike overnight and when I return next day I want to try a manual gear box, not the DCT system, again John said: Yeah Edson, take this other one and enjoy it, no problems! I took another ATA and left and spent about 3 hours riding and love it, that was the bike for me. I left the A1 motorcycle with this amazing feeling of being well looked after, John was straight forward with me and very helpful in my decisions. I left Australia to Mexico returning to Australia in December, John told me that I shouldn’t be worried because he was looking after me when I was ready to get the bike. In December I returned there and we set to discuss the price of my old CBR1000rr, I got the price that I want, not like the other’s who kept drawing the blood of me downing the price of my bike to make me feel my beloved bike was worthless, something I knew it wasn’t as I always looked after my baby. I gave John a figure and he said ok, no stress, just like that! Now we have to get the ATA, again john reduced the price by almost 2k for me and that was priceless, I also got a new helmet to go with the new sexy lady, and again he gave me a cost price on the helmet which was fantastic.

No thank you!
Dropped there on a quite Saturday. I knew with bike I wanted and with variant I wanted...After 20 years out of the game I was really looking forward to sign a deal. Salesman was informative about the model BUT probably for his sales target, was pushing me toward something else I had in mind. Was not interested in what I was looking for and when asked if I was buying today ( TODAY !) I replied that not before mid January; he just took off without a word or even goodbye.
Ending up traveling to Peterstevens Dandenong for my Africa Twin and I had the best personal service you can hope for!
Mister Salesman did not wanted to hear me...bad luck you missed a sale on a new bike...silly you.

A good purchasing experience
Just bought a second hand bike from A1. Overall a good purchasing experience. I test rode three bikes, two new and one used and decided to buy the used bike. A1 were approachable, knowledgeable, straightforward and helpful.

A pity they don't sell Aprilia anymore
Bought my new Aprilia from these guys 2 years ago. John and team were super friendly and patient. Their neighbours up the road, the ones that rubbished Aprilia when it was a competitor product (but now sell them), did not really put in a lot of effort. But John was enthusiastic from the get-go and let me try lots of machines on the way to my eventual purchase. A shame they don't carry Aprilia (and Moto Guzzi) anymore...

Excellent customer service
I will set the record straight, I did not buy a bike through A1 Motorcycles in Ringwood but didn't buy anywhere else either. I would just like to inform others of my extremely good experience dealing with A1 Motorcycles as a whole and the time and especially the effort that John went to, making sure I was comfortable in the showroom.
You see about 8 or 9 years ago I dropped a bike at another bike shop and have stayed away from all showrooms and motorcycles since then, I have always been nervous to walk into motorcycle showrooms and was very...Read more
nervous to throw a leg over, but John and all the others at A1 Ringwood took the time and patience and gave me all the assistance I required to get back in the saddle again. They did everything required and needed to calm my nerves down, then allowed me as much time as I needed to throw a leg over and allowed me to take my time getting comfortable on it and it honestly felt like Christmas morning as a 5 year old which was weird as I am over 40 years old (not sure if they realised the joy I was having and the phobia I had just gotten over). I will be getting back into bikes and will be ready to buy after losing a couple of kg's and will be heading back to A1 Motorcycles in Ringwood when that time comes. Thanks John at A1 Ringwood for everything, I now have my passion back for motorcycles.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very satisfactory experience.
Initially reluctant after reading some of the reviews but what with opinions being a very subjective thing I cautiously pursued a possible used bike purchase. I found Dean, John, and Brian to be very personable and helpful at all times. I experienced no difficulties in the process, and in my experience found no cause at all for complaint. I would have no hesitation in recommending them based on my experience.

Very disappointed. As soon as staff get your money they completely ignore you.
I have left feeling disappointed and blown off the service was terrible after cash was handed over. All the reviews are the same 5 stars because someone's happy they have a new bike and there excited or there had terrible service. Hopefully at least 1 person takes my advice and dodges this place.

Great service. Great bike.
I've recently moved to Australia and was looking to get back on a bike after nine years away. Having not ridden for so long it was a bit daunting. The team over at A1 Motorcycles took good care of me and gave me the confidence to take the plunge. The second hand bike I bought was in mint condition and the ease of buying it and all the riding gear to go with it was faultless. There was one minor hitch when organising the insurance but it was sorted the next day.
A big shout out to Brian for all his hard work and patience with me. He even stay...Read more

Once they have your money they don't care!!!
Brought a motorbike from here only rode it a handful of time and it blew up! I pay good money every fortnight to have this bike and now they are trying to tell me that this isn't there problem and I now have to fix it. They have been horrible from the start had so many problems before this. Selling dodgy bikes and they don't give you the time of day!! Never again will i be dealing with these incompetent people again!!!!!

I'm back on two wheels
I'm a mature age bloke who hasn't been on a bike for approximately 14 years and decided it was about time I bit the bullet and jumped back on two wheels again. The guys at A1 made it easy and enjoyable to buy my new beast. I felt like I was a kid again. I would recommend anyone to go there for a new or used bike. They make it an extremely enjoyable experience.
Cheers to Geoff, John and the support staff for all they did for me.
Best regards
Dan A.

Happy New Honda Customer
They let me test ride many different bikes no problems. Ended up buying a Honda CBR1000RR and could not be happier. Very good deal offered and finance was sorted no problems. Part of the deal included in house spend (at whatever price tag said no further discounts but i was still happy with package price) which helped me get set up with new helmet, boots, gloves, disc lock and other bits and pieces. Service department are very helpful and assisted me with lots answers that didn't result in sales but were happy to go through with me. On one occa...Read more
sion, they fixed my helmet with a new visor clip (I broke when dropped the helmet) from a helmet for free to look after me. Mechanics have fixed rates and hours for servicing etc and I found reasonably competitive. If you can do things yourself, it is always going to be cheaper. As much as others have had issues, I didn't and was very happy. I had one issue with the bike horn couple weeks later and called and told them. I 'suggested' they look after me and look at it and fix it. Was a simple wiring / horn problem adjustment but still was done free and I was happy. My advice to people is do your homework on whatever it is you want to buy or get serviced, negotiate a price/time frame, ask questions, compare the quote to other dealerships if necessary and confirm in emails etc. If you think they are dear, tell them you can get cheaper and leave it to them to make decision if going to reduce price or do better. Then make 'your own' decision to go forward. They are there to make money like any business. It's up to you 'the consumer' to know if a good deal or not. Doing what I suggest I think will make everything confirmed and something to fall back on if any issues. I am sorry that people have had bad experiences and disappointed to hear them of course. Buyer beware as they say sadly................... From my experience though, I would not hesitate in referring someone there and would tell them the exact process I mentioned above to ensure a good deal and leaving happy.Similar opinion? Never again!
I walked in as an excited learner to see the CBR500RA and walked out putting a deposit on the "last" Tri-Colour for a while. Thought I would put them to the test and pretended to be someone else then all of a sudden there's more on the boat. Very unprofessional and deceptive staff, will be going to Peter Stevens next time!
