The little things.
It's always the little things that make bad service. Bought a brand new motorcycle from there and was promised a free first service, it wasn't, Poor customer service, the mechanic who road tested it must have been tall with big hands because my mirrors and levers had been adjusted greatly, water pooling in the dash and switches after the wash and the service number sticker still left on the mirror. Im not one for confrontation thats why im writing this. I thought a1 were the good guys but obviously they're just as bad as peter stevens. Lucky i'm a mechanic as i will be doing my own crap from now on. My dad has been in the motorcycle scene for 40+ years and knows [Name removed]. I'm sure he would like to hear what i have to say too.
A1 service centre ringwood
Bought a yamaha r15 for my first bike and I was told by the seller that it only needed new tyres, a service and a new battery to get it road worthy ed. Service was done and everything changed by the day after I took it in, then they called me to say I failed the roadworthy because of a bent handle bar. Fair enough I gave it an ok to change it and they said it will be done by Friday. It's Tuesday the week after now and they just fixed it and now they are telling me that I failed the roadworthy again because of a bent front disc, keeping in mind

Was all set to buy a new husky with a trade in at A1. I was in store and negotiated a new bike price ride away. Then when I came in the Following day the price had changed overnight for the new bike according to them. I checked with other dealers and with Husqvarna themselves and was told this was not true. Then they offered $400 for my registered roadworthy 1100cc trade in with 12000ks on it! Ridiculous!
A1, the bike community talks to each other. Lots of us are in clubs and we tell each other this stuff.
When you screw a potential client, many more people hear about it.
Horrible at best
Story is a bit long, sorry
Found bike online with A1 Motorcycles to which I was told that it was in fantastic condition, had been looked over by their mechanics and recently had a full service completed. Negotiated a price and agreed to have a look on the weekend.
Test rode the bike, was running a little rough and I thought a little warm but they assured me that the bike was good and that the mechanic had completed full check, a service was just completed and both mirrors repaired. (grommet replacement)......... Both mirrors broke before
... Read moregetting home Things started getting bad from here, I took the bike to a mechanic (1 hour ride to Triumph Mechanic) and had a phone call the day after dropping the bike off advising that they were amazed the bike actually ran due to MAP sensor hoses split/ not connected, throttle body boots split and that the radiator was full of sludge. The bike had not had any maintenance for a long time and would have been obvious to any mechanic if they looked the bike over. (I should have been more thorough I know) Bike now running after a huge bill and still have a starting issue which is to be resolved Provided feed back to A1 a week ago expecting a response or even an apology but zero reply.Find out how A1 Motorcycles compares to other Vehicle Accessories & Parts Shops

Abysmal Service, Laughable administration and Mechanics know less than their customers
I delivered my bike to this establishment in January with an electrical problem that I could not self Diagnose. I wish I had spent a bit more time working it out for myself as the service department in Ringwood are less experienced than their novice customers. I had spent most of my Xmas leave replacing engine components that had been destroyed when an internal bolt had worked itself loose inside the motor and destroyed the Stator. I took the oportunity to replace the Stator, Pickup, Exhaust and all oil seals whhile I had it apart. Once the mot

Direct injection of fuel down the carburettor made no difference and I did not have the electrical test equipment to self diagnose. So I had the bike transported to A1 Ringwood giving them all the details and advising that this was most likely an electrical issue. Well then the comedy of errors started. They pulled down the bike and removed the covers to check my work requiring a fresh gasket set (which they didnt have in stock). The gasket kit took over a month to arrive from the distributor before they could put it back together and continue the diagnosis. I was then away for 6 weeks with work and they assured me that it would be fixed and ready on my return. After a further two weeks I received a call advising that they had diagnosed the issue, it was a faulty carburettor which would cost me $500 to replace. I ended up buying a brand new one from overseas for $100 and had it delivered to them. 4 weeks passed and I was back in town and went around to pickup the bike which they had promised would be ready. This time I was told that nothing had been done with it in the past 3 weeks and they had no mechanic that could do it so the supervisor was taking on workshop duties. I was promised by the Supervisor that it would be finished the following Wednesday (Now 3 months). Of course when I next contacted them on the Saturday to pick it up, I received another excuse that they couldn't work out how to put it back together as the original mechanic had left. Seriously what a joke these guys are.... So two weeks later I received a call at work advising that they believed the bike had an electricalk issue, yep this is the issue I originally gave it to them for. Well I pointed out the fact that I had given it to them to work out the electrical issue and they had assured me that the Carburetor was the issue for which, I had paid out for an unneeded replacement. They said to me that as they could not work out the issue they would only charge me for an hours labour. They didnt mention that they would however also charge me for the Gaskets that they replaced which where brand new and a refill of coolant and oil total $187.
Disapointing and poor services
A1 was my preferred service centre for my bike and when I had a bit of damage to my fuel tank they were the ones that I though would be best suited to repair my bike. I had my bike quoted in early January, after following them and my insurance company up almost weekly nothing was sorted for MONTHS. I was constantly getting the run around from them saying they had sent the quote and the insurer saying they hadn't received it. After 2 months RACV finally confirmed that they had received the quote and they would organised a time to have an assesso

A1 kept on stuffing me around and only ever rung me back one or two times through the whole experience. I then noticed that they hadn't even been stamping my service book, I had to go all the way back out there to get it stamped. A1 just obviously didn't care. I was warned by others not to take my bike here and I should have listened to them. After three and a half months of being stuffed around I decided to take my bike elsewhere. One week after the job was quoted by the other place it was in getting fixed.Excellent Service & Repair
Took my bike in for service, blue slip, new tyres & a whole lot more. Got a call the next day with the quote of only $700 (I expected way more) and the bike was ready 2 days later. What an awesome mob that run this joint. They know their stuff. Thanks guys.
friendly and professional.
John, the owner, bought a bike from me. He offered me a fair price and was very good and honest to deal with, especially compared to all the would-be private buyers who wasted my time, month after month.
Amazing Experience
I purchased a second hand Honda CB 1000R from A1 this week, I have to say I have found the whole experience amazing, I have been riding bikes for years, and have purchased quite a few, more than I care to remember (both brand new and used) over the years from various dealers both large and small and have not felt more at home than what I did at A1.
I am a professional sales manager so I am super aware of customer service.

don't listen to customers
they know all.
I purchased a my bike from A1 motorcycles Brighton (motogo) and I explained the issue to them and I explained that I believe that it is the fuel pump as 1 issue that fixed that problem. issue 2 is o2 sensor they said that is not the problem so they put it on the computer and said there is nothing showing up so the sensor is fine and I explained that Suzuki did have problems with faulty sensor. So I disconnected the sensor and guess what bike runs perfect if only they listen they always think they know everything they just don't want to wear the cost typical. These guys do not have good reviews as I found out after I bought my bike I will never go back be careful.
Useless
Took my bike to them for a service and front tyre, they tried to get another $175 extra than what I'd been quoted..... "No way "......found later that they had fitted wrong size rear tyre to my bike. Have heard many complaints from a lot of different people about this organisation.
Rogues, rip off people anyway they can, do yourself a favour and forget they even exist.
Selling to A1
Recently took my bike in to sell it at Ringwood. After telling me it needed two new tyres that it didn't to knock the price down he offered me some stupid low price. I was not happy so he asked me to give him my details. How funny someone had phoned A1 while we were looking at the bike looking for my model. He rang them and instantly offered me 400 more but had to leave the bike there. As he was talking I took the phone number down off the diary. Phoned it up later how funny it was his mate. Obviously thinks there are some mugs about.

The bike I purchased was supposed to have been serviced and road worthy done, don't think this was done.
So far first day I had it the bike ld not start as battery was dead, when I took it home it could not start. I was also pulled over by police to find bike rego displayed expired on the same day I took it home as the right indicator had fallen off this was supposed to be fixed but I gather a little glue did not do the job I have sought a replacement indicator and fixed at my own cost, they also promised that the would fix and reinstall a

Bike was sent in for new valves and piston. Something that by rights should have taken a week maybe a little longer. Coming into my 3rd week without my bike. Was told i would get a call with a quoted price, no phone call. after calling them i was told nope no quote itll be around 1300. gee thanks dont you have a price set in stone? I told the service manager to keep me posted on the progress. No phone calls. I called them asking how its going and how much longer it would be, said it would be ready by next monday(it was Friday at this time o

God only knows. I've had a gut full. I spend a lot of time on several motorbike forums and will never recommend them to anyone. Wouldn't take my bloody push bike to em Clearly no idea about running a business and keeping customers happy.I feel ripped off!
After successfully attaining my Learner's Permit to ride a motorbike or Scooter
I went to A1 Motorcycles on Nepean Hwy, Brighton, Melbourne and after discussing my needs as a new rider with the sales person, I took his recommendation and purchased a 125cc Scooter from them.
Happy with my purchase and their service, I did not hesitate to return to them to 'upgrade' to a more powerful Scooter.
After speaking with the sales person and explaining that I was now ready to up-grade to a 250cc Scooter, he showed me the Kymco 'People 200'. When

So having no reason to question him further, I purchased the Scooter. When I asked for the Manual, the salesman said that at that time they did not have a Manual for the scooter but he would email me the web site where I could access and download the Manual. I had not received an email from them after 1 week so I rang and was told they would email. One week later, still no email or Manual. I rang again and finally received the 'link'.Thanks for your comment Matt. They are making me out as a liar!
Terrible experience with A1 and there service
Purchased a motorcycle from there Ringwood store back in February and they gave me a delivery date 0f 15 march, i contacted them and was told still would be a couple of weeks, rang up again and was told still not there asked for a refund and to my suprise had a phone call that afternoon stating bike had arrived and should take a couple of days to arrive, a couple of days later had a phone call saying that there had been a misunderstanding and bikes where not even there, it now mid May and im still waiting for my money back as i asked for a refu

Staff know what they're doing which made my purchase of a new Aprilia an absolute dream.Delivery was provided to my door and I was contacted by a staff member to let me know exactly when to expec my new bike to arrive.
I asked about insurance for my new bike and was provided with a very competitive quote which I accepted. My new bike was fully insured prior to deliver.
After all the paperwork was completed I met the owner of the store who was friendly and treated me like an old friend and he warmly invited me to drop in for a cuppa any time I
