Excellent van and tows very well. The BMW of caravans.
Recently purchased in July 2016 and have already taken it out for a family trip with the kids.
Everything on these vans is high quality with superb fit and finish compared to locally made vans. And the price is cheaper than the local stuff to boot due to mass manufacturing at Adria Slovenia.
Service and support from recently opened Melbourne dealership run by the importer Apollo motor home group is first rate.
Highly recommended.

Great Product. Absolutely lousy after sales service
We love this van. It is a quality product that tows really well. It's been reliable, does not leak, is comfortable etc - all the things you expect out of a van.
Probably the only fundamental thing wrong with the van itself is the fridge. It's a Dometic 189 litre. It's a sub-tropical rating but these aren't good enough for Australia and they now only use tropical rated fridges. We've done all we can to make it work more effectively, like fans, shade awning an moving the sensor. Also it struggles to keep its temperature when running on 12v. Th...Read more
e problem is the wiring in the van is too small and there's too much voltage drop between the car and the van. The biggest problem though is that the brand is let down by deplorable after sales service and warranty support. Let's deal with the service side of things first. The first thing we found that service agents come and go. One minute they're an Adria dealer, the next they're gone. Even when you find one, we haven't been happy with their service; they've been unreliable and unprofessional. On the warranty side, we were very annoyed to find that genuine warranty claims (like a plastic ensuite fitting cracked through movement) were denied. The one that was admitted took months and lots of follow up (directly with the distributor Apollo Motor Homes) to get resolved. You'll also find the parts are frightfully expensive e.g. $900 for a small ensuite window.

Love it!
Purchased a 2008 model caravan a couple of years ago now, as was rated to be ok to tow with my VW TDI 2.O Golf.
Quality, clean, modern with good design. More than you could imagine packed into such a small light weight easy to tow caravan.
Travelled up & down through our wonderful WA.
Hardly a month goes by without use.
Traded up vehicle to short wheel 4x4, still tows like a dream. Hardly know it's there.
Proud owner of this little "cubby". Home away from home.

Full caravan annex
We have an Adria 403 PH caravan and we want to put a full annex on our caravan but have been told we cannot as the gas fridge will vent into the annex and this is illegal in Australia. Has anyone found a way to have the gas fridge re vented and have a full annex attached?

Leak from air con
I also had a leak but the dealer had gone out of business some months later and Adria initially refused to help. Another dealer grudgingly repaired but charged me all the same. Caravan warranties aren't worth a cracker. Unlike cars, all the internals (fridges microwaves etc) have to be dealt with the mfg of those items.

Good thing - small package
We bought an Adria Altea 390DS last November. We are loving the compactness, with seperate bathroom and toilet is is perfect for 2 people who want to tow a light van with bathroom - 12ft long. It took us a while to sort the bedding out but it is very comfy and we have a full annexe which gives us plenty of extra room. Love the finish and all the detail. Are learning a lot about vanning in a small way and will be ready to step up in a couple more years. For price and build we give it 5 stars. We did have an issue with a leak just after we bought...Read more
it and found the after sales from the dealer unpleasant - seems once he sold it he didn't really want to know about us. However, they did arrange a fix and all is perfect now. Love our van - not sure about the after sales attitude! Compact, light and very well finished considering it all has to be light weight After sales - might consider the 432 which is slightly bigger but still very happy with the size as starters.Similar opinion? We have a 2018 Adria Altee 552UP. Recently there is a leak from the shower It comes from under the exterior wall of the show and runs into the interior of the van. Recently my wife has not been putting the shower screen across the mirrored cupboards and the toilet. There is a gap between the sink flap and the back of the toilet. Is it possible that water is getting through this gap and leaking into the van. There is also water falling on top of the toilet waste cartridge would this be from the same leak? Thanks Peter.

relative newbie here, so please be nice...
on an altea 552pk, how do i get the taps/shower to switch between water in the water tank and the 'city' water that's being supplied via a hose connection ?
thanks in advance

As far as I know you need to disconnect the city water hose then turn the water pump switch (which should be next to the Master Switch) on which will pump the water from the van's tank, provided you have water in it. In our van it has a little red light at the top of the switch.
thank you, peter; i'll give that a go

Same problem with 402PH. We made a lot of inquiries and found no solutions. In fact if a annex manufacturer or supplier provided or fitted an annex to these vans they would be in a lot of trouble. We ... Read more
use a privacy screen off the Thule screen and several shade tarps the length of the van for shade and rain cover.
