You need to contact afterpay in regards to this. They will get it back up and running for you in an hour. The same thing happened to me once after entering in the wrong code too many times.

i couldnt change my password either & i cant make a payment so i just simply contacted Afterpay & they sorted it out over the phone within 5 mins

Some transactions can take up to 24 hours to show on statements or apps etc. If your transaction still hasnt been recognised, l recommend to give them a call. I had to ring them recently and my issue was handled professionally and was taken care of immediately by a friendly helpful staff member.

I get charged this fee all the time and I’ve contacted my bank about it and they keep saying it’s a preauthorisation and nothing comes out but I know it does. I checked my balance before and after making an Afterpay purchase and it’s taken the money out of my available funds. I’m still trying to get to the bottom of this - I think they’ve been taking small amounts for the year and a bit I’ve used them and never returned the funds.

It talks about this on their website. The pre auth should ve returned to your bank. Can take up to a few weeks. Sometimes you won't even see it on your statement as it gets voided so the transaction is removed from your bank and the money re added to your bank. It has happened to me a few times and each time it has been returned.

Me neither, I never used up-to 500, to avoid emabarrasement it always advisable not to use their service, Bio they no definite answer to yes or no. For example you can even call after pay, their employees will say sorry we can't say whether you will get approved or declined..

The payment will adjusted to exactly 4 payments. For example you spent $100, you would then pay 4 installments of $25. That applies to all purchases regardless the amount. The maximum amount you can purchase is $1000. Also for new customers you will allowed access to $500 for first purchases.

me too. the only reason i can think of is that the term of purchase/payments is 8 weeks. they need to be sure that you can repay the entire debt on that card. if your card expires during the 8 week period and you switch cards (have different card numbers and cvc) it will make their job a whole lot harder to track you down for outstanding debts.

Yes mine has and I've phoned afterpay and they say I should have one. I've uninstalled the app then installed it again but still won't work.

The other thing you can check is the permissions on your phone.

Still not working - I did a full reset of my phone, to factory settings, and it STILL will not open!
I can use my account via my laptop, but for instore shopping, I need to rely on being with someone else
whose phone I can use. VERY frustrating! :(

Afterpay charges you only if you are late with your payments just like any other business. Controlling your expenses is all in your hands. Afterpay is a good way of buying something you really want and can pay in installments. Everybody has a different opinion about all this but I am totally for it. Customers should know their spending limits. Its like credit cards but wont charge you anything until the payments are late.

It all comes down to human frailty and this "Afterpay" relies on this to make money out of people who can't manage their finances responsibly. I look at it this way, the service would not be provided unless there was money to be made out of it. I didn't come down in the last shower and have been here for sometime (70 rotations around the sun). Most people taking this on will regret their decision, for their debt in most cases will only get worse, some will really suffer.
It's all managed by an algorithm written by some bugger to maximise the lenders profits, it's as simple as that.

I use it and am on a pension I treat it like the old Lay By system and only get what I need and pay it off in the allotted time. After pay is a good way of buying something you really need and can pay in installments. I have set myself a limit and only spend what i can afford till I pay it off.
