Have been using it for over two years, never had a late or missed payment, have excellent credit rating, have no open Afterpays and can get barcode for instore use for up to $1500. For some off reason it wont let me purchase anything online now, just get the transaction denied message. Customer support is useless, just sent you ad hoc copied message that this sometimes happens and they don't actually care or bother looking into why its happening. Useless.

omg I feel you. I have the same history as you and now all of sudden i cant purchase because my details are in use in another account? which they tell me is a common issue which is concerning. I receive a new request from different people all the time asking for something new or something i have already provided 8 times. Last night I emailed back and asked them if their staff had any consistency when it came to training because they dont have a clue. I have been told the account was fixed only to have the wrong account fixed, then told its fixed again and i go in and have same issue. I am about to go zippay i think and forget i ever had an aferpay acc. Come on.... Its not rocket science. Stop being so lazy and when a reliable paying customer clearly emails you all correspondence from the 20 other consultants, can a manager or someone please take the time to view and FIX it for gods sake instead of asking the same thing 20 different ways or asking for new information that all of a sudden is needed when it hasnt been before? Get on the same team guys. Deby i hope your issue is resolved. Such laziness, really.

Yes and two of my adult sons are having the same issue as are another family we know, that's six people across two households, can't imagine how many more are having the same trouble. Something is obviously wrong and they just don't care. Management need to get it sorted ASAP.

I am having the same problem, I can Afterpay instore upto $1500 and have never had a problem online before until the last 2 weeks, doesnt matter what day or store Im trying it keeps declining me

Im trying to buy some culture kings stuff online and sending it overseas to NZ the shipping is included with the online website my budget with Afterpay is $500 the items and shipping is $480. For some reason the afterpay is declining my order is it because Im sending it overseas? Or is it because Ive got one more payment left on my last order thats going to be deducted next week? Someone please HELP

It is because the delivery address does not match your afterpay address, I had the same issue and changed the delivery address and it went through. I think they do this to prevent fraud, If someone were to gain access to your account and try to ship to anywhere but your address it will decline etc

Doesn't go over $1500 after a period of time it gets to this amount,on memory I started at $500 increases eventually to the above amount.
Afterpay watch your spending & payments, most times I have purchased l pay my payments early on my app.
Afterpay I recommend, on average at one time I limit my spending to about $800 thats $200 a fourth-night, an wait till its all payed. Its handy for me
Spending limits are up to you, if you have a budget work with it, I dont have any credit cards just debit cards, that controls my budget, once again thats why Afterpay is great. Its just handy

Well its weird because apparently the limit is $500 if you're using a debit card but I had over $500 a few weeks ago due after buying some stuff which I guess means my limit is over $500

My limit has been increasing over time and Im up to 1700. Although now its 1650? Why did they reduce it? I never miss payments. My account is linked to a debit card.

I’ve been using afterpay for 3 years spent more then 10,000 on afterpay I forgot to update my card details and they blocked me because I was over due for like 2 months just 130 dollars but when I opened my account when I was back from holidays I noticed and updated my account and payed 130 now they suspended my account for.1 mistake I feel so annoyed

Similar situation for me except I was in hospital... paid the outstanding when I got out but they still refuse to unlock my account and the WORST customer service when I called to ask why.. so rude.

Does anyone actually know how long it is suspended for? Is it indefinitely? Or is there a minimum amount of time to wait before they reassess? I had this happen to me after being a reliable customer for 3 years.

Similar thing happened to me.
They said my account was paid out & closed. It would remain there for me to see my past purchases but I would not be able to use their service & not permitted to open another account.

Scanned barcode on phone and it came up on their computer saying PBL not recognised.
On my phone it states something about some stores using QR codes, not the bar codes.

This is so ridiculous, Afterpay just keeps on reducing my spend limit for seemingly no reason (Not only am I up to date on my payments, but I have paid many in advance) and of course they give no explanation when you call them, instead I was advised that perhaps I could try NOT paying my orders in advance and just allowing them to direct debit at all times, which is ridiculous. I don’t understand why this company penalises their customers for paying on time/early.

You need to contact afterpay in regards to this. They will get it back up and running for you in an hour. The same thing happened to me once after entering in the wrong code too many times.

Hello, I use to have an afterpay account that I terminated more than a year ago (I think they block it and don’t delete it). The problem is that I received an email from afterpay stating that my credit card on file was about to expire, shouldn’t that have been deleted when I requested my account to be closed ?

Hi i have used afterpay for 2 years now i tryed to regenerate my barcode today as i regualy cheack whats on there and it keeps saying sorry you are unable to generate a barcode only 2 days ago it said $380 i have always payes my payments and pay some.off befor hand aswell please help.

Is there any way to get an account reopened or make a new one if all payments have been made but the account was closed by afterpay? I was apparently in debt but received no communication from anybody about it.

I got an email from collection house saying I owe a certain amount to Afterpay. I paid some of that amount today with them and I checked on my Afterpay app, and the amount I owe them stayed the same even though I paid about $100 today on the collection house portal?

Hi Je33icax.
Some transactions can take up to 24 hours to show on statements or apps etc. If your transaction still hasnt been recognised, l recommend to give them a call. I had to ring them recently and my issue was handled professionally and was taken care of immediately by a friendly helpful staff member.

Is it normal to be charged by PayPal just for refreshing the barcode, even without making any purchases? It’s been happening ever since I first got afterpay, it used to be like $1 or $1.75, but it’s just happened again & I got charged $24.95 without even making a purchase? Everyone I have asked said it doesn’t happen to them. I am so confused.

I get charged this fee all the time and I’ve contacted my bank about it and they keep saying it’s a preauthorisation and nothing comes out but I know it does. I checked my balance before and after making an Afterpay purchase and it’s taken the money out of my available funds. I’m still trying to get to the bottom of this - I think they’ve been taking small amounts for the year and a bit I’ve used them and never returned the funds.

It talks about this on their website. The pre auth should ve returned to your bank. Can take up to a few weeks. Sometimes you won't even see it on your statement as it gets voided so the transaction is removed from your bank and the money re added to your bank. It has happened to me a few times and each time it has been returned.

I was confused at first but when I went through my statement to find the transaction it was gone.
