I have just had my afterpay account suspended due to an investigation of another account with the same name as mine that happens to be over due, I dont have another account and i created my account not long ago as a friend referred me and as a single mother of 3 little toddlers afterpay seems to be a perfect option for me for christmas and ive been using my account for about 3 months now without any problems. Weeks before christmas and they do that without any warning? They said i have to take a report into the police and have it investigated further before they will unfreeze my account which i have never missed a payment on and have nothing overdue on. What can i do?

BCF has afterparty but when checking out it only has credit card details or PayPal options. I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

No! Afterpay and Paypal are not the same company AT ALL!!
You need to contact BCF, they are responsible for ensuring Afterpay is an available payment method on their website.
Thanks for your ideas as to why I couldn't use afterpay, I contacted the store and because it was giftcards i was wanting to purchase with afterpay they don't do that. Mostly everything else but giftcards.

The answer above is not correct. Afterpay does not allow you to login into your account to change your payment schedule. It’s not like zippay.
It says 6-8 weeks because when you make your first purchase using afterpay, it requires you to pay the first instalment at time of purchase, then the remaining payments are paid every fortnight over the next 6 weeks.
When you make your second purchase using afterpay, you do not have to pay the first instalment at the time of purchase, however you must have enough funds in your account for the first instalment to have your order approved. Then over the next 8 weeks you pay off the purchase each fortnight.
Either way, you still have to pay 1/4 of the total purchase amount every fortnight until it is paid off.

I would like to to use after pay like I always do and it keeps saying declined I just recently paid for my last final installment and it keeps saying outstanding payment is over due I was late 1 week and 4 days but I have paid for the late fee as well I have money in account I’m not sure what to do. Any help?

Im having the same issue! Was on hold to afterpay for so long and all they told me was to try again another day and hopefully it'll work... im always on time with my payments and only have 1 transactions going at the moment. They said because they cant see an error message they cant help and I just have to hope it eventually works... not happy.
Your account has most likely been closed. This happened to me. I found out what the problem was last year. So I left it as they said they "purge" closed accounts and I should wait. A year later and I am still waiting. I have been trying to get it re-instated for the past week but keep getting pushed back because of that 1 late payment.
In other words - you're f*cked until they "purge" closed accounts and you can try to creat a new one. You can't create a new one while you're old one is open because it has your phone number attached to it.
Same here I’ve been waiting since November 2018 still can’t get a bar code I was calling them constantly gave up after 3 months call centre people didn’t no what they were talking about and got a different answer each time.

Hi, I had the same problem. If you go to the Afterpay app, click on your profile icon. Select payment method. Then select the card you would prefer to use ( to the right there should be a circle, once selected it should turn blue). Once done go to the barcode and it should automatically be there without the need to add any further card details. Just click generate barcode and it should work for you. Hope this helps.

I use afterpay barcode today having a limit of $500 bought a pair of shoes in store reasonably cheap .went to another store grabbed what I wanted went to use barcode .only to get a message to say I can't refresh try again later or call costumer service. Still trying an nothing .why would this be?

I believe you have to use a new barcode for each store.
Not all participating stores have in store afterpay purchases yet.
I have only used in store once so I'm not the best person to ask.
I havent used the barcode for purchases in store, so sorry cant help you with your issue.

I just used a bar code everythingwork at the first store, than i went to another and now it will not give me a new barcode.
Its says
"Sorry,you're unable to generate a new bar code at this time. Please try again or call"
Iv call the number, afterpay isnt open and iv reloaded the page about 10 times with no luck
What do i do? Am i the only one?

It could just be a technical problem. I would call Afterpay in business hours tomorrow.

I was declined By afterpay when it first came out after it asked for a credit check (details that allow them to run one) but I just signed back up and all it asked for was an email and my full name and date of birth.. It didn't give me an acceptance or decline email and on the app under "barcode" it says $500... Does that mean I can spend 500 or Is that just default?

Mine started at $388 and now after a few payments it has gone upto $420, so the more you use it and pay on time, the higher it goes upto a max (I think) of $1500.

Hi I’ve been approved twice for $500 each time by after pay. I’ve never missed or been late with a payment & in fact actually paid my recent after pay order out in three weeks instead of four. So I went into my app yesterday to refresh my barcode and it reads ‘sorry you are unable to generate a new barcode please try again later or call customer service’ thinking it was my card I rang the bank & my card is fine and plenty of funds avail. So I try changing my card & it won’t allow me. I ring afterpay & they say my account with them is fine & I have $500 avail, so I try to purchase something online and twice it has declined me. Can anyone explaine what’s happening? I’m at a complete loss

Possible your internet connection was not strong? Need to ensure that you have data switched on....often the WiFi in shopping centres may drop out.

I've been rejected quite a few times,
Afterpay customer service ended up finding out the problem.
You cannot check how much you have by the barcode or wait half and hour before making a purchase if you do.
OR, make sure you have at least 1dollar in the card you use for afterpay.... works for me.
