I would like to purchase a 7.2v battery charger for a Gardenline grass and hedge trimmer model no. AGS 72 ?

I found it impossible to get new parts without paying more than the original buy so bought battery nearly the same on Ebay and soldered the old top onto the new battery and it worked fine also used liquid nails to hold in place. No More Aldi products as there after sales dept are useless

How can I get new 20v charger for hedge trimmer?
1 answer
i searched everywhere for a 18 volt battery with no help form Aldi and in the end got a black and decker and swapped the top so could charge it. Dont like your chances of getting a charger. Aldi will refer you to the people that supply them but they will charge you more than the whole trimmer cost. Put it down to experience and buy one from bunnings where you get backup. I will never buy electrical from Aldi again

Where can I buy a battery for my 03/2013 Gardenline hedge trimmer model AGL-0252 S/N AG0250313.

I bought black and Black and Decker that was same voltage and soldered the top off original battery on to it as couldnt get a battery for it thru Aldi. And Gardenline wanted that much that you could buy new trimmer.
Hope that helps

I recently purchased a Gardenline 20V Line trimmer from Aldi, but it didn't come with a battery pack. Where do I buy this battery pack? Bunnings do not stock them.

Hi Alan, I wish I could tell you the answer to that question ..... Unfortunately I also tried to get replacement batteries for that product - with zero result. The machine worked well for me until the day I tried to cut my hedge after winter .... The battery was lasting 5 minutes and had to be recharged a couple of hours before going another 5 mins. Just a waste of time and all phone calls gave me a zero match for new battery. Have now bought a cable powered job that never runs out and with my 70 metres of hedge, that's what I need.- I know now that if spare batts are not available - don't buy.. Cheers, Rob
You can try Gardenline service number 1300 355 255 but I found impossible to get them to answer. You can also send email again almost nil response. However I made compliant to Aldi and they respond and follow it up you can find Aldi details on their website. I have brought many Gardenline products but will not get any inthe future as they seem to be a $2 dollar service group.
Best of luck.
I actually rang the hotline number quoted on Aldi's Warranty Certificate. They were able to supply a battery pack, plus charger at a total cost (including postage) of $61.98.
I paid $59.99 for the Gardenline 20V Line Trimmer. Needless to say I did not purchase the battery pack and will look very carefully before purchasing any more of these types of products from Aldi in the future.

WOW! after reading a couple of reviews, i don't like my chances.
I have original docket in instruction book..09.12.2011 bought in Brookvale NSW
The battery has been charged and now the machine is sluggish.....
.What to do???
Just buy new???
Carolyn
1 answer
Hi Caro - I really don't know the answer, but you have to consider ...... The cost of the original machine compared to others on the market .... a bit lower I think;
How long the original machine worked before problems began - not too unreasonable if it was bought in 2011 hey? This is now a "Throwaway Society" and I guess nobody fixes things any more.

Gardenline/ Aldi 1200w electric cord lawn edger purchased in November, This morning was the second time I have used it and the motor seized up after 20 mins. How do I get it fixed on the 3 year warranty stated?

I assume there was a sticker on the tool, try and get contact with whoever it refers to and make contact withh the deails., failing this return to the store you purchaased it from, insist to speak to the manager, and I mean insist . Once you have made contact again use you powers of insistance to get satisfaction, giving them 2 weeks to return your complaint . if no satisfaction, inform then you will go to a ombudsman .

Purchased in aldi august 2015, it stopped working this afternoon. What should I do? I put in a new fuse but no joy.

The whole product is so poor just dump it or contact Gardenline.
I was disgusted with the service I got trying to find out about the trimmer, I still have it and it is only a year old but when it goes I will dump it and not buy another I would now rather buy a named trimmer with proper back up.
I would therefore advise you to dump it and purchase a named trimmer.
Best wishes Joe Alex

Just wondering is it hard to change the cable on a electric hedge trimmers?
1 answer
I am not an electrician but if you are mechanically minded and replace the cable following what is already in place I cannot see any problem. If there is some cable left even if it is only maybe 12 inches attached to the trimmer, a plug can be fitted. If you are not a practical person I would not proceed.
