Not worth even the bargain basement price.
Bough it after our old and very reliable Fisher and Paykel finally gave up and we needed a quick replacement. Poor choice, because things started to go wrong within a year or so - seals, spray arms, rack runners etc etc. Better off spending your hard-earned on a decent pair of rubber gloves and a large dish-rack.

Very disappointed
Nothing fits! Our standard size water glasses don't fit in the top draw (catch on cutlery rack). If we lower the top rack, then dinner plates don't fit on bottom rack (catch on water dispensing arm). Also, we have to rinse everything thoroughly before loading, otherwise it doesn't come out clean. May as well wash it all by hand. Bought this because it was recommended by Choice magazine - won't believe their reviews in the future.

Horrible
Our old Dishwasher stopped working so we decided to purchase a new one at Aldi. The first month or two it was actually working just fine. We also enjoyed that it had a cutlery section, in which our old one didn't. Although as going through the same routine daily, it didn't take long until the dish washer had stopped doing its job. Not that it had stopped fully working, but when we would open after its clean, only half of the dishes would be washed! Shortly after that the door wouldn't even close in. We've now decided to just hand wash our dishes for now.

its crisp
Dish racks fall off tracks when it's loaded, 2nd draw catches on cutlery rack, I just not a good quality, it has a plastic smell while it's running also the dishes do not dry well, it wasn't that cheap either I'm just very disappointed in my purchase, have Aldi got a satisfaction 100% or money back ?!

You get what you pay for
Purchased this dishwasher in June 2015, not very great at all. You literally have to wash all the food off the dishes and dry by hand no matter what kind of dish tablets and rinse aid you put in. Dishes always come out with every bit of food mark even as little as a milk spot or sauce on the dishes. You also need to put the cutlery in individually in the tray above that you're standing there loading it for half the time. Very time consuming with the cutlery stacking and rinsing completely all the dishes. Better to just hand wash.

My house is newly renovated and the dishwasher is a stainless steal one from Aldis. I haven’t even been able to use it once and it’s already broken it has filled with foul smelling water and won’t turn on or drain. So the house owner has called 3 times now to get someone in to fix it and they have yet to call us back or send someone out. It has been 3 months and I’m sick of waiting. So over my kitchen smelling foul because of the dishwasher

Great Product for the Price
I'm partial to Aldi's products but, objectively, this dishwasher does a great job for a low price.
The cutlery drawer at the top is a boon as it allows you to space dirtier items further apart and to pack cleaner items a bit closer. For forks and knives I recommend placing the handles towards the outer edges with the 'eating' end in the middle - that seems to give us the best results.
We've used the Eco/quick option a bit but it seems to only make a difference to how dry dishes are rather than how clean they are. The normal mode has a ~30...Read more
minute drying cycle right at the end which seems to be mostly skipped by Eco/quick mode. Normal-sized plates will fit on the bottom drawer but you need to move the middle drawer up a notch. It means you can only fit lower profile items in the middle drawer but, for our type of dishes, it works well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A dishwasher with a difference
This dishwasher is a real suprise, it has several wash options and washes the dishes really well .
It runs very quiet .
My favourite features are the separate cutlery tray at the top, which gives loads more room for dishes .
Not to mention the adjustable lower drawer for big items like vases .
Well done ALDI

Great price for a Great product
Aldi have outdone themselves with this dishwasher. It is great because it is simple to use and cleans the dishes really well. I love the cutlery drawer where you lay your cutlery down rather than standing them up. Quiet and efficient and the price is definitely unbeatable compared with others in the market.

Very pleasantly surprised
Excellent value for money dishwasher. Does everything it says quietly and without fuss. Looks good, logical controls, cleans well. Have been using aldi’s dish tabs and everything cleans fine. Comes with a 3 year in home peace of mind warranty. Thanks Aldi for bringing this great product to the market.
Update - Have now had this dishwasher for 6 months and my early comments are confirmed. This is an excellent performing product and priced nicely. By all means pay $1000,$1500, or even $2000 for a logo that will impress those who like such things, but IMO that's absolutely a waste of $ as I can't fault this Aldi/Stirling dishwasher.

Good for single person
I find this dishwasher great for me, cleans well on intensive setting. The only downside is you can't fit normal size plates in standing up, so wouldn't be practical for large family. On the whole though for the price I paid and as it's only me in the house it's great.

Better than expected for the price
This dishwasher seems to wash dishes really well, though I do rinse everything. I have used all the cycles just to see how they wash the dishes. It has a really quite operation. Can barely hear it running. I love the cutlery tray on top but the cutlery seems to slide all over the place. Like another reviewer I found it soaking inside after it had finished. If the dishes weren't rinsed I would say that if the door wasn't opened for airing it would definately smell. One thing I do like is wine glasses can be stood up without falling over...Read more
. There is plenty of room on the racks for a large wash. The one downside is that the whole inside, mainly the racks seems flimsy. If it wasn't for that I would have given this dishwasher a very high recommendation. With a three year in house warrantee and for the price of $350 I would recommend that it would be good value. Bear in mind it is a it annoying the cutlery not staying in place on the tray. I used morning fresh liquid in the wash and rinse aid in the rinse.1 comment

Very good for the price
We decided on trying the Aldi dishwasher after reading some positive reviews and being happy with other Aldi products. We have had this machine now for 4-5 months and are very happy with it. Whilst not as quiet as some of the more expensive machines, it is still quiet relative to our old one! Its cleans very well and as its designed to be used with the Aldi tablets and rinse aid it makes it very economical to run (as well as having a good water rating). Would definitely recommend this product.

Absolutely love it!!
Good value for money! Cleans really well but doesn't always thoroughly dry dishes, especially tupperware, orherwise very happy with the dishwasher. It has three programs, (the eco option is used the most), three racks, child lock option and is very quiet and beeps when finished. It is easy to clean.

Dishwashed out
We have one of these and parts are so hard to come by so be prepared for a wait. Our first one the inside tray wheels were taken off and accidently disposed of. We waited 3 months for parts to no avail, finally aldi exchanged it and now the hose at the back was already split. We used the new washer and at the end of the cycle heard a hissing noise, figured it might be coming from the kitchen and was greeted with water all over the floor! So cleaned that up. The white hose is hard and brittle, surely they could make it flexible seeing as it has to ...Read more
coil around the back of the appliance in a alcove. Not happy with having to go find yet another replacement part. The machine is very quiet and looks good. It washes the dishes nicley, no spots,we use aldi dishwaher tabs, you dont even know the machine is on. It has a few cycles but i like the eco one which lasts 113 min. 3 trays which can be adjusted for bigger pots . Cutlery tray on the top, easy to pack. We love the way it performs. easy to clean inside and out. The dishes come out dry but we let them sit and cool down before u packing. Comes with a three yr wnty. Programmes are just the touch of a button.all in all we are quite happy with the performanceSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Cleans dishes ok but dishes and inside machine wet and have to be dried and the machine has a bad smell when running smells similar to burning oil. Construction feels very cheap and flimsy door flexs and catches when closed. Machine is also fairly noisy and wash cycle is longer than last machine.

Dish washer, last resort, short term
We have had our sterling dishwasher for 3 yrs.. It has worked moderately well for 2 years when the lower rack rusted out under the plastic coating. Rang the distrubuters and was told that even though I was willing to pay for the rack, they did not have any. Wow. The bottom rack has now collapsed and the top rack I have held in workable position for a year by drilling screws and washers into position to hold the upper track. in position. This finally failed. I nearly bought the new model today but it looked too similar to our last. Stirling seem to come out with look good ideas but don't go there unless you are desperate and then only hopefully for 2 years. We are going to pay hunderds more for obvious reasons. Good luck

It's OK
It does the job. Not perfect but as long as your dishes are stacked properly there shouldn't be an issue. The rubbers around the edge of dishwasher constantly fall off and the rack drawers never are smooth. It can get very heavy trying to push the racks in when they are full as the wheels seem to have come off.

So Impressed!
I really wasn't sure about this dishwasher, as it wasn't recommended by Choice Magazine, which is my first port of call when making household purchases (it got a 70% rating).
But, I then read the reviews on the Product Review site (which I always check for real-life experiences with products).
After reading a number of reviews here, I was convinced the Aldi (Sterling) dishwasher was worth trying (and I couldn't afford anything else, anyway). The negative views (very much in the minority) sound like the reviewers probably got duds and sho...Read more
uld have returned theirs or asked for an exchange - they do come with a 3 yr in-home warranty. Boy, am I glad I saw all the positive reviews! My son and his fiancée picked the dishwasher up and installed it for me on Saturday and I used it for the first time yesterday (Sunday), and I love it! It's a nice looking machine, is easy to pack, with racks that fold down to fit dishes of various shapes and sizes, and then there's the cutlery drawer! I have only had dishwashers with cutlery baskets before, but the drawer is so much better, IMO, and is easy to pack and unpack without cutting yourself. Even my 6 year old could do it safely. A couple of reviewers have complained about noise, but this is the quietest of the dishwashers I've owned (the two prior to this were an Ariston and an LG). I'm wondering if they have the same model dishwasher, because Aldi have sold another model previously, which received much worse reviews than this one had.Similar opinion? Does an aldi dishwasher have a condenser

I’m not sure about a condenser, but it did have an extra drying cycle. It worked perfectly up until five months. Then died.

After using for two years have realised if the intensive wash is used the inside dries and does not stay wet.
