Going strong after 7 years
Paid $299 for this dishwasher over 7 years ago, does the same job as the expensive brands, every 3rd wash I throw some bleach in, cleans dishwasher, cuttery, stained white cups makes everything so shiny, try it. Would highly recommend, I dont even rinse the dishes and I have a full load every night oh yes I only use the heavy was. NO.2

Value for money..
Purchased in September 09 for $400 from Aldi.. it's been a good dishwasher for 8.5 years. I use the normal wash setting 95% of the time everything always clean but not dry, that was the major down side of the dishwasher. Plus the minor issue with door seal coming out from where it sits mainly due to the bottom basket rollers hitting the seal either side of door opening. Major problems like small piece of plastic stuck in the pump. Not sure how it got though the 3 filters ( happened twice) was an easy fix. Now at the end of March 2018 dishwasher...Read more
now only does the wash part of normal wash setting than turns itself off, not finishing the the full cycle. Not a major issue as I can still do wash than run again 2 times to rinse. All in all great value for money and does what a dishwasher is suppose to do wash dishes and still going.

Dish washer, last resort, short term
We have had our sterling dishwasher for 3 yrs.. It has worked moderately well for 2 years when the lower rack rusted out under the plastic coating. Rang the distrubuters and was told that even though I was willing to pay for the rack, they did not have any. Wow. The bottom rack has now collapsed and the top rack I have held in workable position for a year by drilling screws and washers into position to hold the upper track. in position. This finally failed. I nearly bought the new model today but it looked too similar to our last. Stirling seem to come out with look good ideas but don't go there unless you are desperate and then only hopefully for 2 years. We are going to pay hunderds more for obvious reasons. Good luck

Aldi Stirling pick of the bunch
Extremely competitively priced, is stainless steel
overall (inside & front door) so it is a breeze to clean & always looks good. It's easy to use & does any excellent job. I always use the Aldi dishwasher tablets, & then once a month run the machine using the bottle of machine cleanser. This machine, almost half the price of our previous one, has worked without a fault for over 3 years. The previous one quit in just over a year - and the supplier said it would cost almost what we paid for the Aldi Stirling to repair it.

Lasted 3 months
Bought this dishwasher thinking it was good value since it came with a 3 month warranty.
But 3 months in and it has displayed the E5 error. Had a repair guy out who thought he'd fixed the issue but when I loaded the dishwasher and started it, it lasted 15 minutes and the E5 error pops up again. So back to getting the repair guy again...
I wouldn't recommend this dishwasher. More hassle than it's worth

Bad at cleaning
My parents installed an Aldi dishwasher and even though it looks great it doesn't clean well. You have to put it on heavy or pots setting and even then not everything is cleaned properly particularly cutlery. I have tried dishwasher tablets and powders ranging from cheap to premium and it doesn't seem to make a difference. You then also have the annoying bottom drawer that you have to constantly lift out as it gets stuck.

Crap
Absolute rubbish. Never washed properly from the day it was purchased. Plates don't fit which stops spinner, seals are faulty and E5. Better to put your money on black at the roulette table in the Casino. Shonky, rubbish, crap, rip off, useless, how much can I get for scrap from the recycle?

Stirling DW9240 - does the job well - excellent value
I bought this for $20 secondhand from a guy who said it leaked, and pulled it out from a flat he rented out.
As such, a bargain - but even at $100 I'd have paid for it. At first, it did a terrible job. Then, when we started using Finish tablets rather than cheapo Coles ones, and made sure items were stacked correctly, it did the job. ie. everything was fully clean and streak-free. We could pack bowls closely, and the water would deflect round and still clean the parts of the bowl hidden from direct spray. Even with heavily stained, un-rinsed...Read more
items, we never found residue on anything. Downers - it was quite loud, which is the power of the jets doing their job - and we'd need to open it after it washed to let stuff dry out. I'm reviewing because we miss it - our new place has a Westinghouse WSF6602, and it's hopeless in comparison - it's a lot quieter, but half the dishes have residue on them despite all combinations of tablets, modes, etc.Similar opinion? Excellent value
We bought an Aldi Stirling Dishwasher in July 2011. It has been problem free. We are thrilled with it. We use Logix cleaner & Rinse Aid. The rear plate holder has just broken on one end. It is still usable, but we would like to replace just the broken part, but as yet, haven't looked for a service agent.

Beware the quality change from last model to this one
Had a Stirling for some time and it was great, but, like all modern electronics broke down. Replaced it this month with a new Stirling. The interior layout is better but overall it's useless. Doesn't clean, doesn't dry, seals come out, bottom shelf doesn't stay up and stops arm turning. Cycles are long, basically a waste of money and time - I'm grumpy. I could return it but getting it out and back is hard as I have a disability.

Stirling Dishwasher from Aldi
Stirling dishwasher by Aldi. if you are considering buying a dishwasher from Aldi consider the following. I purchased one in 2010 and late last year it needed repair after the warranty period. all the repairers contacted said dump it, but I knew better. after contacting the parts supplier advised by aldi, and after much confusion and misdirection by Aldi, the 4 electric boards were delivered and placed into the machine by my appliance repairer. low and behold it would not work and after $240 in parts and labor he advised, dump it. But no. I t...Read more
ook it to another repairer who for $50 advised that the inserted boards were faulty or it need a flow rate meter because water entering the unit overflowed and instead of agitating, it expelled the water over and over. The parts supplier advised that that part or the schematic plan needed to test the program was not available after the warranty period expired. so I again contacted Aldi who said "bad luck". so when you buy from aldi be aware that after the warranty has expired the chances of you repairing the machine are unlikely and be prepared to dump it. do not take my word for it contact any appliance repairer. malcolm toothSimilar opinion? Value for Money
so far so good bought it 2 years ago and still running well. Cleans well even gets most of the baked on stuff with the heavy setting, i have been using finish poweballs and rinse aid which are good haven't tried the logix yet. whenever the dishes dont come out clean its probably because i should have used the heavy setting. But majority of my washes i use eco and they come out very clean. Parts are cheap and plastic but do the job would have preferred it with stainless spray arms as plastic ones don't spin as freely. However I love the cuttlery draw on my model, as it cleans the cutlery like a dream! I paid $350 it's worth every cent!

Waiting for company to answer us
We bought a Stirling dishwasher from Aldi in August 2013. Since then it didn't work properly with the arms not going around and left dishes dirty. Called and emailed all the information on the paperwork for approx 4 mths and we are still waiting. Would be nice if something could be done for us ASAP.. Thank you for your time.
Either find a repairer or refund the money or supply another dishwasher...
Arms are not going around and leaving dishes still dirty.

Stirling Dishwasher From Aldi
I paid $299 for this dishwasher over 3 years ago now and I've been very happy with it. Dishes mostly always come out clean and dry (that is using a generic brand dishwasher tab). We did have to raise the top shelf so that big things would fit underneath. Now I can fit very high dishes on the bottom shelf with no problems. I follow the manufacturer's instructions and always do a quick rinse before doing a main wash. I also always use the intense cycle because I like the idea of my dishes getting a really good clean! This cycle takes a couple of ...Read more
hours but it's never an issue for me. It is neither super quiet nor particularly noisy. Being in the kitchen with it on is fine. I highly recommend the Stirling, I will be buying one again in the future. The good thing about Aldi is that if you're not happy with it, providing you have your receipt they have a 60 day money back guarantee. Win win!! Inexpensive. Dishes always come out very dry.3 comments
Annie how hard is it to install. Is it possible to install yourself
I installed one of these to replace a Asko that failed and it was harder taking out the old dishwasher than installing this one. No tools required.
Sonya, sorry I didn't reply sooner, I only just saw your comment. My husband installed it with no problems. You just have to connect the inlet and outlet hoses.

Aldi dishwasher is awesome
This dishwasher is so good. It is exactly what I want and the dishes come out clean and dry every time. I am not sure if we have a later model of washer than these other reviews but ours was bought in May 2013 and it is the perfect appliance. Exactly what we want and good enough to write a review about
It does exactly what I want
I dont have a complaint

It doesn't "dry" dishes after a cycle (the inside of the dishwasher stays wet and days after a cycle finishes) The rails want to pop out every time you pull a draw out. It feels tacky. you get what you pay for.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good value for money
Had it for a month now and I can't fault it. It does a good job. I think it's good value for money as long as you don't abuse it. Good size, easy to use, 3 star energy efficient and 4 star water efficient. You need to adjust the top wreck when you buy it so that the plates fit.
Inexpensive, good size.
A bit noisy. Doesn't have a 30 minute cycle.

Bottom half is so short that it won't take ordinary plates!!
Have used it half a dozen times and it cleans "ordinary" items well but it does not clean very dirty items very well even on the intense cycle. My huge complaint is that it does not take kindly to ordinary plates. You cannot put plates in the outer 2 rack places or it will stop the top drawer from opening. You cannot place plates in the middle racks of the bottom drawer as it will stop the rotating arm from rotating. While I've never owned a dishwasher before I've used at least a dozen different dishwashers and this is the only one that is so i...Read more
ncredibly short in the bottom section that it just doesn't cope with ordinary plates. It is therefore very difficult to stack to make sure the rotating arm can rotate. Would not recommend this dishwasher for that reason. Seems quiet but it's in my laundry not my kitchen so noise isn't an issue. Cheap at AU$299 Bottom section is way too short for ordinary plates. Doesn't clean very dirty items wellSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not worth the savings!
We bought it for the savings but the trouble was not worth it. It does not clean properly which meant dishes has to be properly rinsed off first before placing in the dishwasher to get a clean finish. The space between the plates section is so small that plates stacked together cannot be cleaned properly so you have to stacked smaller dishes in between each big dish so the water can get in between - too much work and hassle! It also does not drained the dirty water throroughly so you will always have leftover dirty dishwater on top of mugs whic...Read more
h has to be rinsed off after each wash!I would think twice next time about buying something that is not a mainstream brand as the savings meant a whole lot of hassle in more cleaning which is not a savings at all. The price $300 Does not clean properly so there is a lot of subsequent cleaning and arranging of plates to facilitate the dishwasher!1 comment
I have a bosch and it is the same. So over it thought I might try Aldi. Paid big bucks for the bosch thinking I would get a good machine. Useless.

Hi, I have Aldi dishwasher and coming up with E2 error, I have replaced the water level sensor as well but error is still there. Cleaned up all filters. It drains out the water properly but stops immediately after taking the water in. Any ideas or help will be appreciated. I don't want to through if it is a small issue.
