Queen fitted electric blanket working one night then not the next. When we investigated we saw that the cord had burnt through near the switch and the sheet had a tine burn mark.

BLEW UP!
last night as i switched it to low, it blew up with a loud bang, and all the lights went out followed by a bad electrical burning smell, found out it was the subject of a recall, shop at aldi every week, never saw a notice saying the recall extended to every blanket they ever sold....never again, glad i wasnt electrocuted!

Fire Risk!!!
We've had this for just under 12mths and never really had any issues with it until last night about 1.30am when my wife wakes me screaming that the bed was on fire,with flames about 7 inches high!! We are lucky to have woken up and put out the flames,though I've now got serious burns to my right forearm & we now need a new mattress and sheets. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP JUNK IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND HOUSE!!! We will be chasing ALDI down for compensation and writing to the ACCC & Choice Magazine. Good product at a cheap price
Great cheap electric blanket, would buy again.
No problems, have used it for 4 winters.
Cheap, dual controls, fitted, warms nicely.
The control electric connection base is located on the top close to where your shoulder may rest, but I've had no issues.
Would be perfect if it was machine washable!
