Good value standby machine!
I have 2 machines, a Breville 800 which is well used and starting to falter, so I bought this model as a standby as I need my coffee every morning. Its also good for that quick coffee fix and gives the choice of a wide range of coffees, as well as hot chocolate, and chai as a bonus. Every now and then a pod will drop through but is easily retrieved and reused and the whole machine is designed for ease of use and reasonable taste. The pods for the machine are cheap and easy to buy and as yet I have had no leaks or major issues. The water hea...Read more
ts quickly and the taste, although not as good as a 'proper' machine like my Breville, is ideal for simple home use when a hot drink is needed at a moments notice. I am willing to take the risk, as it was cheap to buy and the model I have is the 2nd edition of the Aldi Expressi Machines. I also purchased the milk frother with the machine and for just over $100.00 combined, it seems good value to date. Easy, quick operation. Cheap to purchase. Sometimes a pod will drop through before being used but is easily retrieved and reused.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
have had to have it replaced twice
I returned my Expressi Capsule Machine today for the second time still under warranty and because the price of the machine had gone up by $10 I had to pay the extra $10 to have it replaced even though it was still under warranty, next time I will get may money back. I did ring Aldi and someone was to ring me back but as yet no phone call
the capsules kept falling out of the machine and the lever didn't stay down unless it was held.

I still cannot believe they did this to a customer, how many others did they do it to as the machine is obviously faulty from the start, they should have taken them off the shelves when they knew they were unreliable.
This has happened to me as well. The latest machine builds up pressure scalding my wife and spaying coffee up the wall. Aldi staff do not care. I could not find the receipt and staff would not only no... Read more
t replace it but said that I had to send it to the manufacturer (which is in contradiction to Australian Consumer Law) I brought another unit because I like the coffee better than any of the other brands I have tried and the convenience of purchasing pods from local Aldi store. I am considering posting a YouTube video of the machine and sending it to Choice for testing.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great for the price
The Expressi machine is a bit clunky and we had to get a new one under warranty as it started to leak water from underneath. But Aldi sent us a new machine quickly and with a minimum of fuss. The coffee is very nice and just as good or better than the Nespresso and pods are half the price of other brands. Chia latte is equal to a fresh made cafe blend. I recommend it for anyone on a budget / and for those who like a quick and easy quality tasting coffee.
Easy to use, easy to clean, machine doesn't take up too much room, coffee tastes great and is not expensive.
Machine needs to be cleaned with a de-scaler on a regular basis to keep it in working order. We had to send one back but the new machine seems fine.

Fabulous coffee machine
It has all the functions you need, great tasting coffee and hot chocolate and so easy to use. Great price and cheap pods. Love it and can't recommend it highly enough. Tried another brand in same price range and it leaked and i had to return it so i havent found anything that compares to it. Great Christmas present too. What are you waiting for?

Meh..
I first brought this machine 6 months ago, in the beginning it was great, then it began to get louder & louder. Also the "handle" to put the capsule in, pops up! Saying that water shoots out from the top, also spraying coffee! Not a nice thing when you want your coffee first thing in the morning!
Size, color, easy
Unreliable, loud, temperamental

Awesome! Lightweight, easy to use, great priced coffee
Fantastic Machine at a low $79 from Aldi. Great range of pods in weak to strong coffee strengths. The pods are not expensive, affordable to add a box to your trolley each time you shop. They have now brought our Hot Chololate in these as well as Chai Latte pods and they are great. I am a fan of the hot chocolate with a couple of marshmellows.
I had my BIL over the other day and served him up one of these coffees, he went straight to Aldi and bought one of machines as he thought the coffee was excellent. The Milk Frother is great. So ...Read more

Great coffee
Love this machine - have had it a year and use it every day. I love how quick and easy it is. I bought the matching coffee frother, but I often just microwave a small amount of milk then fill up with the coffee. But for a real treat use the frother, it is sooo good !!
Cheap, quick and easy to use

Superb value for Home Coffee Brewing
Our home-brewed coffee is mostly required on weekends, or when we have dinner guests, rather than every day, and this machine is perfect for us because it takes up so little space if we leave it set up, or it packs away and back out easily and is light to move. The milk warmer is cheap and easy to use and clean, as well.
Reliable, cheap to buy, easy clean and to get coffee pods which are cheap and have a good variety. Milk warmer is easy to clean and to get the desired amount of froth.

Absolutely brilliant
Ok, it took me a while to decide whether to change my old breville espresso machine which was fantastic but after 7 years new machines have come a long way. I went to Aldi and saw the Expressi machine... Straight away I looked online on my iPhone for reviews and they totally convicted me. Not just it's so easy to use but making that amazing taste coffee in 20 seconds it's simply remarkable. And you don't have to keep pressing the button to make a larger coffee, if you read the instructions you would know how to personalise the button quantity j...Read more
ust the amount you like it and it keeps it saved! It also has self cleaning and instant hot water. All for just $89 and $6 for 18 pods? I couldn't believe it. I haven't had a problem with it but if I did I trust the 2 year warranty and customer service. Well done guys, I'm impressed. Fast, cheap running costs, sleek design, programmable, instant hot water Would have been nice to have cord storing compartment on the base but it's no biggySimilar opinion? At $89.00 how could you go wrong
Never had a coffee machine before... All just too pricey, so when these machines came up took a chance and bought one.
We'll, I can't fault it. Quick and easy to make coffee and very cheap. Friends of ours, have all the more expensive, well known brands and this machine can compete with any of them. The coffee taste just as good but it's a lot cheaper. We didn't bother about the milk frother, just micro wave your milk instead and save the money. Most frothers, including all the other brands, don't heat the milk up enough.
Cost, easy to use and clean. Coffee pods are cheap and you get 16 in a pack instead of the usual ten that other brands give you.

Expressi the Besti
O.k, I was on a mission for great tasting " real coffee ", coffee that could be made with minimal fuss, quickly and for many guests.
I own an espresso machine, a drip filter, stove top Caffettiera, plunger and now an expressi.
Hands down, for the above mentioned reasons, the Expressi wins !.
I love strong coffee, so I use 2 pods on the shot mode, then add boiling water from the kettle and some milk if I don't want to froth milk...( need to watch the carbs ).

Good and Cheap
Paid itself off in no time. Excellent for its price. Selection of coffee is good. Quick and efficient. No need to go outside to get a good caffeine hit. Comparable to machines 3 or 4 times more expensive. Works well and I haven't had much probs with it, been through about 20 packs of pods.
quick
sometimes pod drops through without getting clamped

The Best Coffee Machine I Have Owned
As the title above says, this is indeed the best machine and most value for money coffee maker i have ever owned. The coffee is awesome and the cheapest around working out to be on average around 39c per cup, and with the additional milk frother, well, you will never go out for coffee again.
Awesome coffee flavour, easy to use, and cheap as at $89

Besides breaking, this machine is awesome value for money, and Aldi are fantastic with exchanges!
The machine itself makes great coffee, at such a low price ($79) and honestly, the coffee tastes as good as the more expensive machines I have bought. The crema is just as creamy and yummy as the more expensive machines I have owned, too! The pods are the cheapest around, and have 10 different strengths to choose from, plus hot chocolate pods. The machine is sexy and streamlined, and very very easy to use! My machine broke up the top, on the silver handle where the spikes push into the coffee. The spring action broke so it didn't stay down ...Read more
while brewing. Aldi have a two year warrenty and after only one phone call, they sent a postage paid letter to print out and we packed it up and sent it away, and that is as complicated as the exchange process is. Wonderful! Easy, reliable, and no fuss. I love this machine and wouldn't buy any other. For the money, it is sexy and produces tasty coffee, and takes up little space on the bench, and if something goes wrong (all of my machines have broken at some stage, from different companies), Aldi are the best at returns! Aldi are great! Also, sexy machine, great coffee, cheap pods, cheap machine. Don't let the price put you off! Top coffee!!!! handle broke, but Aldi are fantastic at returns! Love them!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Easy to use and the flavour of the pods are great
I bought my Aldi Expressi after the raved reviews of a number of people who love it. My boss urged me to get one so off I went to Aldi. While I was there I also picked up the milk frother, whats a cappaccino without the froth right? After a brief read over the instructions, I put it together and filled up the chamver, dropped in the pod and presto, within seconds I had coffee in the cup. I did notice that I had to press the button several times to get a tall cup, which was a hassel but I gathered it was for mixing pod flavors in shots maybe? I'...Read more
m not sure about that. The milk frother worked well too however, you do need to give this a thorough clean when you finish as burnt milk sticks to the bottom and can be difficult to remove if you leave it. The flavor of the pods are quite nice, not very strong, but ok. I think this machine is great to use for one or a couple of people but if you have a large group that want tall lattes and mugaccinos, you will need to stand there for quite a while pressing that fill cup button. Easy to use and nice tasting pods. Constantly pressing the button to fill a mug can be inconvinient when you have other things to do.1 comment
If you hold the button down when filling a cup you can program how much water is dispensed from then on.

Just bought 2 for x-mas presents expert here.
Thought I would give it a try before giving them as x-mas presents. I have owned nespresso cube $500. Nespresso with milk attachment $800 and delongi magnifica $1000. The cube was great gave away to family then upgraded to milk attachment one which was [censored]. Did not heat milk properly, tried 3 machines. ( don't get those ones) the magnifica grinds its own beans and has worked great for 3 years running. So I know how they are suppost to tast and work even tested with a thermostat. If you heat coffee too much it burns and goes bitter. That ...Read more
is why coffee shop coffees always taste so bitter especially at end of working day, because machine is too hot. My machine will not make coffee if it gets too hot, it stops automatically to cool itself down so does not burn coffee so must be reason behind this hey. For $89 tastes just as good as my old nespresso cube machine, heats up quick and very easy to use. Sometimes basic is better like my old nespresso cube. Milk froffer was good too. ( Tips ) first press the hot water cleaner button to run hot water through to warm up the machine, my magnifica does this automatically. Then put in capsul but when doing it pull lever down slightly so that when it drops it grabs better. Then close lever slowly so that you can feel that the capsule has gone all the way in.then make coffee, then eject capsule then if u finished push down lever and press hot water button ( the bottom one) for 2 sec then open lever then repeat. This cleans out any coffee in the capsule area and machine. Then once you have made your coffee and hot milk then rinse the milk froffer out and put some hot water in it and leave to soak while drinking your coffee. So when u come back the burnt milk at the bottom can be easily wiped off with a paper towel so it does not scratch and ruin the non stick surface. Do not use scourer. It will be harder to clean and won't heat as good later on in life. Take care of it, trust me. Could even use hot water from machine when cleaning to soak it. Anyway hope this helps people. By the way I am keeping one just for my work so will have to buy another tomorrow to replace their Christmas present. Well worth the money. Works well. Coffees hot and taste great.2 comments

Am in love with my Aldi Expressi Coffee Pod Machine!!
I love, love, love my Aldi Expressi machine. I have wanted a pod machine for a while but could not justify the price that other brands ask for. So when the Adli $79 machine came out i got one straight away. I ove how easy it is to use. It has clear instructions on how to make the coffee and also to make a memory in the machine of how much coffee you want to go into your cup. It is hot and great flavours. We (now sadly since i just read I could have fixed the problem for $8) binned our 5yr old BREVILLE. now have an ALDI machine
Hi there i have only had a few pods fall through but only if i haven't lifted the handle the whole way up. If i lift the handle up properly and put the pod inside it never falls through. thanks

Believe it or not since I wrote the reveiw the same has happened to me. I also get a bit of pressure built up which was a bit scary. I've since gone and purchased a new one. If the new one works for a year or two with out a hitch, I'm still ahead.
I rang the 1800 number and spoke with Kfee who make the Aldi Expressi Machine. The pods are new but look the same. According to Kfee, the coffee will be superior. However the new pods are much harder to penetrate and the old machine no longer functions as it did previously, the pressure keeps building and sometimes it just doesn't work. I have stopped using my old machine as the pressure felt as though it was about to explode. Basically you need a new machine and with the Aldi (Kfee) pods being cheaper than (all?) the others, it's still value providing the new machine is not made obsolescent as these old ones have been. Aldi could have told us this, but I have not seen any evidence that they have.
Thank you Ahmetmaz And Basilian for your answers.
I had a feeling that I would need a new machine. I had noticed that the pods had changed.

I have the machine which is smooth down the sides (the older machine), I've descaled and also done the other one they suggest, but the amount of water which pushes through the coffee button (both small and big) is less than 30ml. Sometimes the machine online spits out 5ml, how can I fix this? For me to make a coffee, I have to press the coffee button about 5 times.
2 answers
Hi, yeah thats normal, to make a full coffee you will need to press the button about 5 times to fill the cup, the idea behind this is that to make a proper cappuccino you would normally just press the button once or twice then full the rest of the cup with frothed milk. As i don't make it that way i just need to keep pressing the button until the cups full.
No, I mean I just to press it 4 or 5 times to get a decent amount of coffee. The booklet says you can should get 40ml from one push... not mine!
