Expressi Machine - Aldi
I love the machine and the coffee flavours. Just a bit worried i have to hold the coffee button down to get my full cup of coffee, as when i take my finger off, it stops 2 seconds later, so i press it again and hold it and then release my finger comes out a bit more, but not much, so i now hold the button till i fill cup to my liking. Also was told we don't need to use solution for cleaning the machine, just turn it on before you make the coffee (before you put pod in) press the bottom cleaning button - I do this twice and let the water come ...Read more
out, it cleans it automatically. Then put the pod in, push handle down and coffee button and its good. Just comes out a bit slow but its not too bad. I love my machine and the coffee. I use it everyday and just as good if not better than the cafe shop coffees like Gloria Jeans and these pods are cheaper. Only works out to about 39 cents a cup of coffee.....I buy the strong coffee number 7 or 9. All taste nice. I can't complain. Aldi makes great products!! Thank you. Price and coffee flavours are great. Easy to use I have to hold button down a few times before coffee runs out3 comments

Up there with the top brand names.
Mum kept on bugging, I want a Aldi coffee machine.... so off to Aldi to buy one... bought a milk frother too while i was at it. Surprisingly a lot of though has been put into this machine quick heat time, easy to use, great tasting coffee. Hot chocolate is disappointing though. Milk frother is the best. Use pre mixed satchels in there to produce a well mixed drink. The machine is strong and rugged and lives up to what it should for the price.

I kept hearing great things about the Aldi Expressi, so I finally gave in & purchased one. I love it, it's so easy to clean & makes a yummy coffee & a mean hot chocolate... It takes the pods which also purchased from Aldi & they are only $5.99 for 16 pods. (i alsi get 2 hot chocolates out of the one pod) I'm very impressed at the slim line design & how easy it is to clean...... Very happy !!!!
slim design, doesn't take up much bench space
The milk frother is purchased separetly, but that's ok

Best of the Best!
I have just bought this Expressi from Richmond Aldi 2 days ago, and I have already made 4 coffees and 3 hot chocolates. I don't know how to describe how good of this little machine can do excellent job, it gives me the best coffee ever. From now on, I don't think I will spend any penny for a cup of coffee outside because i would make a better one from this machine at home. Go for number 6 pod from Aldi.
Thanks to Aldi for bringing the best coffee machine at the very good price.

Indestructable! Designed for men.
This machine is an awesome tool for work. We use it daily at smoko and we love how cheap yet high quality the coffee and other drinks are. This machine is also super tough. It was dropped from 1 metre off a trestle, and it continues to work well. It is the Toyota HiLux of the coffee machine world. Definitely 11 out of 10.
tough, affordable

Won't Dissappoint!
My uncle purchased it and made me a cup. Loved how quick he made the coffee and it tasted great. Straight away I headed to Aldi and purchased the machine. Love it! If you're a lover of straight black coffee...this machine is for you. Pop the pod in, press the button - tadaaaaa! coffee is ready :) I personally think it tastes great. You can buy the pods in varying strengths and flavors. Kids love the hot chocolate pod :) This is the third coffee machine I owned, others were more costly and they were terrible and inefficient to use. This is great...Read more
, u pop the pod and once it's done....falls into a internal bin. Which you can pull out and empty - sooooooooooo easy to clean! I actually can't think of any faults in the machine. I would recommend it to anybody! It's only 90 bucks....and guess what? if it really disappoints you.... hey 90 bucks is not a great loss. Honeslty, if you're thinking of a coffee machine go and get this. I calculated that each pod costs less than 80 cents. Beats paying 5 bucks a day. Must say though, the frother is only 25 bucks but it isn't great. I don't really like it - avoid the froth maker. Inexpensive, nice design and finish, great value for money, easy to clean1 comment
I find the froth machine will only give you a good result with skim milk :)

Great machine- and I don't drink coffee
My 15yo daughter can't stop laughing at my obessesion with our Expressi- you see I don't drink coffee! I do drink hot chocolate, and hoping the Chai latte will come back. I've been buying all the different coffee pods for my husband and daughter to drink. And happy that I can now make coffee's for them after pretty much refusing to with the old coffee machine with the beans and all. At $89 for a machine and $6 for 16 pods, it is a steal.
Simple to use
Making a 2nd cup, will sometimes have trouble with the pod not going down properly.

The original machine has issues with the pods correctly going down, but the new 2013 edition has no problems that I've seen yet.

Then dont, trust me, get one!
Great tasting coffee, cheap, sleek, modern..
Sometimes the capules fall through but barely an issue..

Excellent Coffee Machine
I can't decide which coffee machine I will get but after I saw in Current Affair that Aldi Expressi is the best one and after reading a lot of reviews in this site I can't wait to get it. I went to 3 Aldi shop near in my area and they're all sold out. Value for Money
I recently purchased the Aldi Expressi machine after a few weeks of deliberation. I initially was looking at Nespresso and MAP machines but after reading the reviews on this site I decided to try out the machine was more than $200 cheaper. I at first was a little disappointed as my machine leaked quite a bit but undeterred I returned it to Aldi who were all too happy to exchange or refund the item. I decided to give the Expressi another chance and second time around has been a charm. The coffee and Hot Chocolate although not Cafe standard is n...Read more
ot too far off the mark and infinitely better than instant varieties and the milk frother and the velvetie foam adds that extra dimension for a delightful coffee experience. I am so happy with the machine that this weekend I am purchasing another for my office and work collegues to share. Cheap, Simple, Great coffee at reasonable price and lots of variety. The first machine was leaking but was rectified by staff at Aldi no problems.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fabulous!
I love my Aldi coffee machine. It's fantastic. I use it about three times a day and have had it for a few months now. I highly recommend it. I love the fact that you have a great variety of pods to choose from. My personal favourites are 6 and 8, but I find 10 very bitter and too strong even for me. I love strong coffee, but the 10 is bitter. it's compact, so easily fits on the kitchen bench. I looked at other brands at a much higher price and I can see no reason to pay hundreds of dollars, when this one is such a great price! Buy it!
The price! and the efficiency

Everyone who I make a coffee for with it is impressed! Show me another coffee machine that is better overall value than this one and I'll buy it. Its quick to heat! Has great flavor varieties with different strengths and is so quick and easy to clean! I bought the milk frother also and it works great!

Fantastic! I wouldn't be without it!!
I read so many reviews on both this machine and the nespresso ones it wasn't funny. I finally took the plunge so to speak and purchased the new 2013 model a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had have got one sooner! It is easy to use and the coffee is so much better than instant. I was having a few pods drop through, but have found if you pull the lever in a solid motion it doesn't seem to happen as much. I think maybe I was doing it too slow. No big deal though, just retrieve it from the catcher thing and try again. To make it a bit warmer if havi...Read more

Best coffee machine in town.
I have been waiting to buy the perfect coffee machine for a while now . I found that most people who bought the much more expensive models were quite disappointed in what their performance compared to the price . Most recently I was getting positive feedback for the Aldi Espressi Machine so I thought I'd give it a go, I mean how could I go wrong for only $89 and $24.95 for the milk frother . I was more than pleasantly surprised . It is one fabulous machine not cheaply made at all . The milk frother works perfectly every time and the coffee cap...Read more

Yes, I have that problem sometimes too, but not often. Still love the machine.
Yes I have that problem too, I have the all black machine, I know others who have the Black and Sliver one and don't have the problem
I have the same problem. I have an all black one don't know if that makes a difference, seem pods seem worse than others does get annoying

Expressi Machine
After reading review after review for cappuccio machines. I just 'bit the bullet' and went for the Aldi one! All I can say is wish I'd gotten it sooner!
The machine is VERY easy to use and clean and the coffee is great. We have had 1 or 2 pods 'fall' but we just picked them out of the holder. As we are getting used to dropping them in they are falling less.
We also bought the Aldi milk frother.....fantastic. Go for it I say.....

2013 model very impressed
Purchased this today from local aldi paid $89 for it, $5.99 for 16 pods per pack - which is certainly cheaper than Nespresso and Map pods. I am pretty impressed with this machine, heats up super fast - supposed to be around 20 seconds. Produces good crema from the ground beans. Can only use expressi range pods with this machine, however I believe the chocolate pods from either nespresso or map can also be used (whichever one is identical in size). I am pretty sure the design is very similar in looks to a model that Delonghi stocks which is nic...Read more
e! As others have said, I agree it would be great to be quicker to clean, not that it's that bad, but if your in a rush it is a bit of a pain to pull it all apart and wash it out for one coffee. Also if you do not take care to insert the pod in correctly it falls straight through this can be very annoying till you get the hang of it. Would still recommend it. quick to make a coffee, good price, looks nice could be quicker to cleanSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So thrilled with my machine which I have had almost 2 weeks. I find it so quick and easy and it even looks great on the bench. We also bought the milk frother which works perfectly, I have worked out exactly how much I need for our cup size so never any wastage. nsistent cup I get from the $3000+ machine at work. I have had a couple of pods fall through or get a bit squished because they were incorrectly seated. As others have said I just grab them out and reinsert them and with more practice seem to be getting it in right every time. Quick and easy to use. Great value for money. 2 year warranty. Excellent value coffee pod machine
I have been using the Aldi Expressi coffee pod machine for some time now and couldn't be happier. While it sometimes needs two pods to give you the necessary caffeine hit, it is consistent and much less expensive than buying your coffee at a cafe every day. It is simple to operate and at only $89 it beats the competition machines hands down.
Cost, simplicity, ease of cleaning and good coffee

Pods falling through
I love my machine but also had the problem of the pods falling through sometimes. I rang the help line and a pleasant lady said that some pods have swollen in a way that the top is ballooned out a bit. She said to see if punching a small hole in the top with a pin helped. Also said to pull the lever down in one constant firm motion. Since learning this I have had no problems. Good luck.

No good
I purchased the 2013 model yesterday after reading reviews here. Had problems with the pod just dropping straight through to the waste bin, but kept popping it back in. Made 3 cups of coffee yesterday, today the on/off button doesn't work. So back to the shop we go. Very disappointing. Was hoping it was as good as everyone said

You have to remember there are always going to be a few bad apples in every crate.
Our 1st machine stopped working after a few day, it was replaced straight away & the new one hasn't missed a beat in 12 months. I love it
Yep take it back, give it a 2nd chance! Also read other comments about the pods- like pushing the handle
down quickly etc.

Believe it or not since I wrote the reveiw the same has happened to me. I also get a bit of pressure built up which was a bit scary. I've since gone and purchased a new one. If the new one works for a year or two with out a hitch, I'm still ahead.
I rang the 1800 number and spoke with Kfee who make the Aldi Expressi Machine. The pods are new but look the same. According to Kfee, the coffee will be superior. However the new pods are much harder to penetrate and the old machine no longer functions as it did previously, the pressure keeps building and sometimes it just doesn't work. I have stopped using my old machine as the pressure felt as though it was about to explode. Basically you need a new machine and with the Aldi (Kfee) pods being cheaper than (all?) the others, it's still value providing the new machine is not made obsolescent as these old ones have been. Aldi could have told us this, but I have not seen any evidence that they have.
Thank you Ahmetmaz And Basilian for your answers.
I had a feeling that I would need a new machine. I had noticed that the pods had changed.

I have the machine which is smooth down the sides (the older machine), I've descaled and also done the other one they suggest, but the amount of water which pushes through the coffee button (both small and big) is less than 30ml. Sometimes the machine online spits out 5ml, how can I fix this? For me to make a coffee, I have to press the coffee button about 5 times.
2 answers
Hi, yeah thats normal, to make a full coffee you will need to press the button about 5 times to fill the cup, the idea behind this is that to make a proper cappuccino you would normally just press the button once or twice then full the rest of the cup with frothed milk. As i don't make it that way i just need to keep pressing the button until the cups full.
No, I mean I just to press it 4 or 5 times to get a decent amount of coffee. The booklet says you can should get 40ml from one push... not mine!

Maybe re read the instructions as my machine has a memory and you can change it to memorise how much water you want to run through it. Hope it helps.
