Cannot have a good coffee without it
Love my coffee, and is easy to use - would love to have a milk dispenser in it - but perfect for the price I paid! I love the variety of capsules and the different flavored you can obtain.
The price of the machine is great and capsule pricing is also cost effective

Absolute rubbish
We are now onto our 2nd version 2 Aldi coffee machine and both have proved to be absolute rubbish. I'd rather purchase a 2nd hand version 1 Aldi coffee maker than persist with the current model. All the same problems stated in other reviews. Terrible water storage, no water flow, water ends up everywhere except the cup! clumsy design and the list goes on. Do not buy it!

Waste of money, dont buy it! Coffee output is shared equally between cup and used capsual container!
We have had ours for a few months and now have the same problem as everybody else here. Either fault of new type of pods or low pressure from pump. Have descaled the machine at least once a month. Sick of wasting pods when the machine won't force the hot water through them, but rather into the waste reservoir. Do not buy this Expressi Machine it is a total waste of money, you'll be throwing most of your pods away as the machine cant push the water through them. This is not through incorrect use, but a flaw in the machine/pods. The manufacturer needs to get onto this and provide a quality product. I know its cheap, but that shouldn't mean it doesn't need to function properly 90% of the time.

It is a toy
Where is the old model as this one needs refilling and emptying on a all to regular bases. When emptying the pods you get a cup of coffee with them so empty over a sink. The old model was a much better machine. Pay a bit more and get a real coffee machine and not a toy.

Very poor machine - poorly designed
I have been having similar problems to other people. At first coffee feeds through the pod into the cup. Then it stops and starts draining into the pod bin. There is clearly a design flaw in the way the capsule is feed in and punctured.
ALDI don't sell this faulty machine.

Cheap, and so so easy
Completely worth the initial price. I've had no problems with this machine; it makes coffees simply and well. You can buy different flavours of coffee, or even get cappuccino capsules which come with milk (more expensive) or other drinks like hot chocolate and cappuccino. The coffees are great considering how quick, easy and cheap the whole process is. I recommend!

Hate it. The older model was far superior
Bought the newer Aldi coffee machine in September, because our older one finally gave up after being mobile in my husbands work van and then used in the house once our very expensive coffee machine (not Aldi) became unusable. Absolutely hate it. The water tank is smaller, the used pod bin is useless because it fills with coffee, no drain holes, and that bin is really difficult to get out. Now we are having the same problem everyone is complaining about. The coffee either dribbles slowly or doesn't come out at all. Very frustrating. Can we get a refund. I hate this machine

Not impressed!!!!!
Not impressed with the new model at all!
Our previous Aldi coffee machine lasted for about 2 years before we finally had to replace it. Bought the 2016 model in August and had to take it back today (Nov 6th 2016). Get the new machine home and set it up straight away, only to find that it has the same issues....coffee flows terribly slowly and often drips into the pod dispenser. I am that frustrated that I want to take it back and get my money back, not a replacement...then I will go to Woodworths and try their coffee machine out.
Please do something about this problematic machine!

Second Expressi machine still not working properly
Our second faulty 2016 Aldi Expressi machine being returned today! Not nearly enough liquid coffee even if we press the big cup button! Machines appears to be still working and no liquid coming out! Aldi products usually good so this is disappointing as we have lots of pods and not keen on buying a third! Coffee tastes good, easy to use and clean but we want a cup of coffee not a dribble in a cup!

Great coffee, great machine, but.....
We love the Aldi coffee, got the machine for my birthday and we love it. After about 4 of weeks the machine started to play up every now and then, only with my husbands Aldi "decaf" pods. (I thought it was my husbands touch!!!) The coffee starts coming out and soon ends in dribbles, not filling the cup. When it happened it seems lifting the lever to release the pod is harder than normal. When it malfunctioned more and more we replaced the machine within the 60 days - and - the new machine worked fine, but now the same thing is starting again. We did everything, cleaned the machine regularly, use only Aldi pods, reset and set again...... the 60 days are nearly over, will return it again and give another machine a go!!

DESIDERO EXPRESSI ME STESSO
I'm a huge fan of our new Expressi Coffee machine.
When our over priced Saeco fully automatic machine ($2499 3 years ago) died a couple of months ago, I opted for Aldi's Swiss made Expressi machine.
I also purchased a milk frother to make cappuccino, so all up, less than $150.
The selection and quality of the capsules is excellent.
Great work Aldi and I'll be back for more gadgets later.

Value for money
Easy to use - it does the job and a good selection of reasonably priced capsules are available. The coffee is OK but don't expect coffee shop quality from any of these capsule machines - including the more expensive makes. Would be great if the unit could accept all of the available capsules on the market but Aldi do have a good range.

Not good
The older larger version worked well, this one (we have two) has issues with the pods. Seems as though either the pod is not being punctured properly or there is not enough pressure to pump through the pod. I love the Aldi coffee but this latest and "greatest" coffee machine is way less than being just okay. If I can find the dockets I'll be heading back with both of them.

Best coffee of any machine (and better than most cafe coffee!)
After seeing all the positive reviews I purchased one and several of the coffee types. All I can say is wow! Quick start up, incredible crema, super hot...perfect coffee. Consistently producing better coffee than most restaurants at a fraction of the price. The only downside is that the pods are not able to be recycled. We have tried all the varieties and they are true to the number in strength but all are outstanding.

Great Coffee!
We bought this machine for our holiday home as we have a Nespresso machine at home. Expressi is absolutely perfect for the holiday house, total value for money and the coffee is great. I even like the look of the machine more than the Nespresso machine! I do think it would be better if the water didn't go into the coffee pod drawer but that isn't much of a problem at all. The Milk frother is great also!

love the coffee!!!!!
It would go to a 5 star if there there wasn't a leak into the used coffee pod container. Other than that love the machine. The wife and I can't have enough and are now going through all the different types of coffee.
One other thing that would be amazing would be a coffee pod stand. I checked with the store and they said that is a promotional item and will come from time to time. Now that the coffee machine and the pods are a standard item on the shelf it would be nice to have the stand there as well.

Great value coffee
Got this yesterday, and used it for the first time this morning. So impressed by how easy it is to set up and use, especially as I am a coffee machine novice. Good selection of capsules, which have the added benefit of being very cheap compared with other brands, and the two types of coffee I tried this morning tasted great-easily as good as expensive coffees from a barrista. We were at a friends house last week where he gave us some coffee froma A$2000 plus machine-it was very nice, but my coffee from the aldi pods tasted just as good this morning. Also got the milk frother which is really easy to use and clean. Very impressed overall.

I would like to point out that K-fee acknowledged there were some problems with the pods. Not the machine. They sent me samples, some of which worked and others did not. I think they sent 6 pods. T... Read more
rouble is it is like russian roulette trying to find pods that work. Starts to fill cup then stops and this is still happening half way through February 2017, so in my opinion it is not the pods but the machine and pods being incompatible with each other. Don't buy the new machine until this issue is sorted out. You just go through too many pods this way trying to get enough in the cup. Which is a bonus for K-fee!!!!!
