Love this mower so much I purchased one for my son as well
Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020)Bought this after being tired of buying fuel for my old petrol mower, not expecting much but boy was I surprised.
Aldi Gardenline battery operated mowers must have a cult following as when arriving at the store just before opening there was a queue and everybody was after the mower !
I was lucky enough to purchase one and I also purchased 2 x 40w batteries even though it came with 2 x 20w the 40w batteries last longer and with an average size lawn the 40w work a treat with battery power to spare.
The blades cut through the lawn with ease
... Read more, if the lawn is a bit dewy the clippings sometimes get caught between the blade and the catcher. There are 5 different cutting levels and the mower is really light and easy to handle and manoeuvre even on a sloped terrain. Love the push button feature and it starts, no more pulling cords on a petrol mower. The catcher is a fairy good size but will need emptying a few times during a mow if you have an average size lawn. The mower also came with a edger and blower, the edger is not very good for people taller than 5' 5" but the blower is fine.
So far so good
Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020)Great price especially with whipper sniper. Easy to put together. Surprisingly quite powerful. Light and comfortable to use. Only have small lawn. I see people are not happy with battery life which is expected only 2 amp. Might get two more batteries. update bought two 4 amp batteries and all good twice the mowing time have big lawn and batteries are very good. Love my mower. You can do at least 500/600sm with 2 amp batteries

Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020)Have a new small Sir Walter lawn and this mower glides nicely over it not missing anything. The catcher is easy to use and fills nicely. This cheap mower was chosen over any of the Ozito ones that simply could not compare well. Love the old Victa style handle and the large rear wheels make going down steps very easy. The battery power of 2x2A 20v easily does my small lawn. The bonus whipper snipper is great too. Glad I didn't spend twice the money on a Ryobi.
Show detailsEasy and efficient
Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020)Works a treat. I have kikuyu grass for the dogs at the side of the house, sir Walter DNA (large front yard) and couch / kikuyu nature strip
Completes its all and has 60% charge left over. In terms of sqm size on my lawns I'd say maybe 150sqm all up (including nature strip)
Don't be a tight butt and use the 2ah batteries, buy the 4ah!!
Cutting, jamming - no issues
Starts first time every time. Used 10+ times(since buying), no issues
The catcher works well too, ignore the comments about it being fiddley - takes 2 seconds to place it in its correct alignment
I use the left over battery power for edging
... Read more I would recommended his mower to other people, 5 year warranty you can't really lose (besides getting a replacement mower as its not readily available). Note:** this review is for the 20v (x2) battery mower (cordless) - i haven't used the corded eletric beforeFind out how ALDI Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020) compares to other Battery Lawn Mowers
Know better, choose better.
Surprised
Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020)I was genuinely surprised by the performance, my back yard is sloping, roughly 15mx 15m and difficult to maneuver a heavy 4 stroke.
The aldi 2 x 20v lawnmower made short work of it, was much easier to throw around and still had 60% battery left (I used my already owned 4ah batteries). The only down side I found had was that I found the catcher fiddly in the way it attached to the mower In the 3 occasions I emptied it.
great for the price
Gardenline 2 x 20V Cordless Mower (Oct 2022, Jan 2020)Great little lawn mower. Puts together easily and charged batteries easily. Did both my lawns with ease. Maybe about 200m2. Batteries both large had 56% charge still remaining. The only negative is its a little light but that's it. Maybe I'm used to the old heavier type of mower, Lets hope it gives me a few years.
