What can you actually do with it? Is it only used for preparing meals? Chopping, mixing etc?

you can cook pumpkin soup, congee, poridge. you can cook rice in it. you can make curry in it. It is a cooker not just a processor.

It’s almost the same as a Thermomix. Check out the skinny mixers website.

How do I turn it off? I pressed the on/off button for awhile and still not turning off
1 answer
you need to press the switch button at the back of the machine to turn it off.
The on/off button is to start processing the food.

I'm struggling to get the mixing tool to stay on even though I follow the directions in the manual on how to attach. It doesn't seem to click in very securely and doesn't take much to detach while mixing. I use it in reverse mode as per the manual instructions. Can anyone give me any tips?

I had the same problem. The tool came off and is now in small bits. Can’t find a replacement online???? Second use so a bit disappointed
On Facebook there is a group called Bellini Addicts and Smith & Nobel Addicts, I just got a spare parts list from there and am going to try and buy a new whisk as mine broke also.

Hi. I knead a good dough buy hand, but bought this to make it simpler. Followed recipe instructions and the dough was so soft and wet.
It seemed like it was going fast for kneading. Yes it was on kneading function. The kneading function only last 1.30 sec
So I did it four more times and the motor over heated.
Any ideas on how to knead a good dough?

I had exactly the same issue, tried to knead dough and it would overheat. I decided to return the machine and get a refund. By the time you wait for it to cool down + the time it takes to clean the machine after you’ve kneaded the dough, it was quicker and easier for me to knead it by hand.
I don't have any problem with the bread dough that I make and 1min 30 is fine.
360ml warm water, 1 1/2 tsp brown sugar, 2 tsp bread improver, 2 tsp dry yeast powder, 600 g strong white bread flour, 1 tbs oil, 1 tsp of salt. Knead in reverse for 1min 30sec.
Ok. Have you noticed that the knead reverse option only goes at speed 4?

Hi, have any one tried to beat the egg whites with the mixing tool? After 10 minutes with Speed 3 in reverse mode, the egg whites were still not foamy at all.
2 answers
make sure your bowl is oil free, egg is at room temp. and try speed 4 instead of 3.
The problem is in reverse mode the max allowable speed is only 3, it doesn’t allow me to run with higher speed. I have also tried the normal clockwise mode with higher speed but failed. Did you manage to beat the egg whites?

Brought machine last week, all the mince dishes come out looking like baby food, Spaghetti Bolognase, Chili Con Carne, Cottage Pie even when I followed recipe in book that came with it.
2 answers
Try putting the mince in the steamer basket in the bowl, then tip it back into the metal bowl when 2 mins left to go.
I’ve found heaps of tricks and tips on the Mistral Thermo Facebook group.
Thank you I will try that

So now that I have a power cord I’m on my way to making some beautiful quick dishes. I have so far only made a passionfruit curd -that is beyond delicious. Does anyone have any tried and true recipes I should try?
6 answers
butter chicken apparently is really really really really easy. you should give that a go. you can cook the rice first and then cook the curry and steam the vegetables at the same time.
Can I ask who you contacted to get the cord...Aldi or Mistral?..I need a replacement part and am having no luck.
I bought the box home, unpacked it and the cord was missing. I took it back to aldi and hey returned and replaced it the whole machine. I think mistral would be the ones to contact for replacement versus missing parts? Good luck with it :)

Hi - I wanted to steam salmon fillets last night and failed. I read the instructions and followed the somewhat incomplete instructions in the recipe book provided. I put water in the metal bowl - temp gauge and on/off on the front of machine - apparently do not work when steam mode is on. But what is 'steam mode' couldnt work out how that comes into operation. So I...... Put food on steam tray on baking paper, turned blade to 1 as I had no way of know whether it was working on not, set the timer to 15 minutes. The whole thing ran through the time frame, didnt even heat up, raw food (reverted to the pan to finish dinner). Please advise via email [email protected]
Thanks Karen

Can you use thermomix recipes in the mistral thermo cooker
Hi Karen, Steam mode is the highest temp- keep turning till you see SF. I haven’t use it yet but found it out tonight
Yes that’s right, I found ST 1 hr ago - had a bad result last night because of not enough info re steaming veggies and the ST setting. Decided I’d try again, after turning temp. much further - there it was and using brown rice and steam veg recipe p42 in recipe book.
Finally success except brown rice still chewy 25 mins!! Phyllis
